In Ancient Times, the Daoist Palace stood majestic.
"Supreme," the Primordial Celestial King said calmly. "Why have you come?"
"A new trace of aura has appeared on my dear disciple." The Old Master was seated cross-legged in the void, his tone perfectly calm. "It is the aura of an Ancient One, but I am not certain which Fellow Daoist it is."
The Primordial Celestial King's brow furrowed.
"Could it be that someone, unwilling to allow for variables, wishes to smooth out the folds of history and converge the timeline...? Are they using their great power to bully a lesser being?"
"I do not know," the Old Master said calmly. "Nor did I ever intend to use my disciple as a tool to change the state of things or to leverage the future."
The Primordial Celestial King touched his empty eye sockets and said:
"Then you have come to me because you need me to extract this period of time, to sever it, so your disciple is not discovered by too many people?"
