Countless people swarmed toward the city gates, shoving and jostling one another. Angry curses, roars, and cries of despair created a chaotic mess.
Among the fleeing crowd were common folk, Government Office constables, City Defense Soldiers, and even members of the Imperial Guard...
Although Taiping City had never been invaded by Demon Fiends before, word of their existence had long since spread.
In the past, without any Demon Fiends in sight, the city had managed to remain stable. But now, with them falling from the sky, everyone wished they could grow an extra pair of legs.
