Gu Zheng opened the door he had been about to close, invited Zhang Ning inside, and asked casually, "How did Zhang go missing?"

Pang Hu leaped out of thin air, landing on a nearby stool as the Wooden Fish circled around him. His sapphire-blue eyes glanced at Zhang Ning, who had followed them in, before turning to Gu Zheng.
"Mrow?"
"We'll go out in a bit," Gu Zheng explained, meeting the Little Fatty Cat's gaze.
Then, he looked at Zhang Ning and asked, "So, tell me, what exactly happened to Zhang?"
"Oh, right."
Startled by Pang Hu's sudden appearance, Zhang Ning snapped out of it and said quickly, "I don't know the specifics, but Old Zhang... Zhang is definitely missing. And it's not just him—his wife disappeared with him."
"How are you so sure they're missing? Couldn't they have just gone home or visited relatives?" Gu Zheng inquired.
