On Tuesday, just past noon, Yan Feifan was in the Department of Neurosurgery. After finishing his studies with his mentor, Lo Jun, he received a call from his mentor, Shi Min.
He was informed that the medical affairs department had officially transferred management of the twelve patient rooms on the east side of the tenth floor of the Little Red House to the research lab.
Six double-occupancy rooms and six single-occupancy rooms, for a total of eighteen beds. The hospital had met Yan Feifan's request in full.
However, ten of the rooms were still occupied by patients from various departments.
Yan Feifan's medical research lab would have to wait for these patients to recover and be discharged before it could take full possession of the rooms.
In any case, Yan Feifan didn't have enough patients to fill the rooms in the near future, so this was hardly an issue.
Buoyed by the good news, Yan Feifan enjoyed a hearty lunch before hurrying to the Department of Trauma Surgery.
