Chapter 17 - Corrupted 2

He swears and leaves.

But he stopped and retraced his steps.

"I hope you bite your tongue and choke to death," Luc said with a forced smile, then snatched Maëva's sheet of paper as if it had been glued to the table.

I shrugged

– Yes, maybe, *you would have talked more than you fought, after all you're only good with words, talking behind my back, I replied

*(This is a myth, especially from Togo, that says, "If you bite your tongue for no reason, it's because someone is talking too much about you behind your back")

He turned around, his fist clenched, ready to come back, took a step forward but held back, just a quick glance behind him, bit his lip and let it pass, continued his rounds and collected the leaves without saying anything more.

Terrifying just thinking about it.

The class always remained calm even without teachers; their mere presence was enough, it was as if "he" had trained them.

Fixing the entire class

A small meeting was impromptuly held in the back of our ranger and even Irene made the trip and sat around him, perfect, the boss, today he had a blue tattoo on the right side of his neck, a sort of 6-pointed star.

The sous-chef Lionel, if I remember correctly, sitting next to him, was always extravagant in terms of accessories.

It's really a school I attend

And lastly, with his feet on the desk, Alex, still clowning around.

– pfffffff~, I sigh, bringing my attention back to myself

"Do you have anything to say?" I murmured, feeling his gaze.

That nonchalant but insistent look I had when I met Maëva's eyes

Silence

She simply stared at me without breaking eye contact and chuckled softly.

– hhum

Sweeping me down to my feet

– (no joke, that's beyond me)

I roll my eyes and turn away, ignoring him as usual.

BAM !!

Luc slammed his fist on my desk, satisfied, leaning on it with one hand, the other on his hip, and one foot on top of the other.

"The teacher is waiting for you in the supervisor's office, come on, come on, move it!" he called out, a wide smile on his lips.

Childishness, boo, I'm scared, you sold me to the teacher

Hérèse breathes, her eyes sparkling

fixe Luc

And strikes a direct blow into the crook of Luc's arm, knocking him off balance.

Hmm, missed it. I at least wanted a little blood.

Luckily, Luc managed to catch himself, and even though he ended up on the floor, he at least avoided breaking a tooth on the desk.

– hhum

Hérèse steps over him, leaps over him, and winks at him before leaving with her hands in her pockets.

– (you start again)

I climbed the stairs, passing the first-floor classrooms. Just for the administration, I truly believed that was the only reason we were allowed up there, but those dark, murderous stares made me think otherwise.

It annoys me, they provoke me, look at that, those useless eyes… it's pointless

Come on, you're not going to let this go, are you?

Forcing me to look at them

- ( maybe….)

At a glance

You're furious, furious, aren't you? He's staring at you. It's so frustrating not to be able to do anything.that all this anger grows within you

– (You only go out when there's a way to sow discord, isn't that right?)

Silence

Hmmmmmm…

If I were you, I would be wary.

– (Luckily I'm not you)

Enjoy it while you can… Just because you're in control right now, it won't last.

Disappears

"Good riddance," I murmured nearby before knocking.

Toc toc toc!

"Come in," called a hoarse voice from the other side.

– whisper

I clear my throat and straighten my shirt, then push the door open.

The professor was sitting on the left behind the door, looking a bit creepy, like he was hiding to scare me.

The supervisor, seated behind his desk stamping files, didn't even bother to look up.

– (The atmosphere was great)

Silence

Still nothing, I stood there like an idiot waiting for him to say something, anything to put an end to this situation which was more embarrassing than terrifying; if that was their goal, it wasn't worth it.

"Mr. KOUM hérèse ," the supervisor finally hissed, pushing his last piece of paperwork aside and resting his chin on the back of his hand.

– You probably know the reason for your presence here, don't you, young man?

I almost roll my eyes and look back at him

"Yes sir, the absence of my sheet of paper," I replied calmly.

The guard straightens up in his seat and pushes his glasses away.

"I can't make an exception for you, even. You'll have to go home and bring back your signed form," he sighed, without much emotion.

"Of course," I said with a forced smile.

– but currently my mother is not present and I don't really have a guardian, what's more, there's no one at my home, especially at this time of the morning.

Silence

"I wouldn't be able to bring back a signed sheet," I said with feigned sadness, avoiding meeting the piercing gaze of the professor right next to me.

The supervisor scratched his beard and sighed.

– Hmm, good, go home and come back when your form is signed

"Okay, sir," I said sadly.

Then, bowing slightly before leaving the office
