Before they knew it, the day had quietly slipped away.
As usual, Xiao Mo walked Tushan Jing Ci back to her small courtyard.
Just as Xiao Mo turned to leave and return to Sikong Temple, a woman's voice called out from behind him.
"Monk..."
Tushan Jing Ci reached out and gently tugged on the corner of Xiao Mo's robes.
"Is there anything else, Miss Jing Ci?" Xiao Mo stopped, turned around, and asked in a gentle voice.
"It's nothing important, really."
Tushan Jing Ci lowered her head slightly, her fingertips pinching the corner of his robes, refusing to let go, her expression filled with a maiden's coyness.
"It's just that you've taken such good care of me all this time, and I feel bad about it. So, I was thinking I could cook a few vegetarian dishes for you tonight, Monk, as a small token of my gratitude."
