Ooohhh, my head hurts.
I woke up and saw that one of my wrists has a cuff which is connected to a chain that is attached on the wall.
Bubu is beside me, watching me with a bored look on her face.
All of her extremities are tied up together and the cuff is connected to a chain that is attached on the wall behind her.
She yawned and told me that she's waiting for me to wake up.
I noticed that although her voice seems bright, her eyes have a serious look and her facial expressions seemed calm.
She's the serious Bubu this time.
I sat up and smiled at her, commenting that it's been a long time since I talked to her in which she smirked at me and admitted that she didn't expect me to be that observant.
I asked her on what kind of creature she is and she replied with a mysterious look in her eyes, saying that she is a pixie but she is more than just a pixie.
What does she mean by that?
She snickered for a while, making me think that she is up to one of her tricks again.
I don't know what she means but I do know all about her kind.
I'm surprised by her size as pixies are supposed to be small beings.
Wait.
She IS shorter compared to the other creatures and beings.
Then what does that make me since I'm shorter than her?
Let's not forget about Heph as he is a dwarf and dwarves are supposed to be short too though he is a bit taller than me.
No wonder that a lot of creatures and beings think that I'm fascinating and eye catching. Also, it doesn't help that my appearance as a human is exquisite to them. Not to mention about my unique, multi colored hairstyle given to me by Leon.
As far as I know, pixies have wings. I tried to look at Bubu's back in which she immediately explained to me that her wings are annoying most of the time and that she knows how to hide them using magic.
So she does know how to use magic!
Bubu laughed as she revealed to me that the silly Bubu doesn't know about that but her current self knows how to use magic.
Then why didn't she escape?
She admitted that she's grown fond of me then chuckled when she saw the disbelief on my face. Then she confessed that even though she knows that she can use magic, she doesn't know what kind of magic she can do.
So I shared to her everything I know about the pixies.
Invisibility, teleportation, illusion casting and size changing.
Those are the main magical abilities of a pixie.
Bubu looked thoughtful for a moment before admitting that she can't do invisibility spell as she tried doing that before as she was planning to trick someone.
Nada for teleportation.
Same for illusion casting and size changing.
What?
Then what can she do?!
Wait.
She can nullify spells!
That's already helpful!
Bubu added that she can also lift heavy objects. Like REALLY heavy ones.
Yeah, she did manage to carry me back at the palace though she and the pack told me that I'm too light despite me telling them that I eat regularly.
And she loves to brawl, same like Ghost.
With a grin, I told her that her abilities are already helpful and now it's time for us to escape from this place.
She stared at me with a confused look in her eyes before sneering at me that she didn't expect me to be assertive and a bit daring as her impression towards me is that I'm too dependent on my mates.
Am I too dependent on them?
I remembered my talk with Puma before in which she told me that the other female creatures think that I'm a leech.
I don't really care what the other creatures think about me. I only care about what the pack tells me in which they kept on nagging me to rely on them, especially Lion.
I simply shrugged my shoulders then took out the hidden hairpin from my hair.
Bubu looked fascinated by what I did and soon, she has a genuine look of friendliness towards me.
After setting both of us free, I rubbed my wrist while she cracked her knuckles as she asked me what we are planning to do next.
Before I forget, I should probably ask her about her relationship with Deus.
I hurriedly covered her mouth as she laughed loudly after I asked her. With tears in her eyes as she tried to keep her laughter under control, she admitted that she and Deus aren't in that kind of relationship. In fact, she works for Deus though her silly self seems to have a bit of obsession towards him but now her obsession towards him has changed after meeting me. She now sees him as a pest.
She added, saying that if I'm planning to have him as my mate, I definitely would not regret it as he is famous back in their territory for being great in bed.
No, thanks.
Lion is enough.
And I already have Sly, Alpha and Orm as my secondary mates.
I'm not sure what my relationship with Ghost is but he's one of the pack. Not to mention that he had already confessed and showed his feelings towards me but hasn't mentioned anything about bonding or making me his mate.
I asked her why she isn't interested in making Deus her mate in which she gagged and scolded me for almost making her vomit.
She pondered for a while before explaining to me that Deus is like a parent to her.
Wait.
He is old?!
No. It seems that Lion and Deus are about the same age.
But how old is Bubu anyway?
She doesn't know.

Bubu shrugged her shoulders and told me that's how it is. But she assured me that she's older than me.

The room we are in isn't that bad at all, in fact it is quite pleasant looking despite the chains on the wall.
It seems that we are not the first ones being kidnapped like this.
I definitely don't want to be sold off again or forced to work in a pleasure house again.
And I don't want to be forced of being a mate to a stranger as it seems that female creatures and beings are in extremely high demand here that kidnapping females are quite the norm around this land.
There's an exit near us in which I told Bubu to use her sensitive senses to lead the way.
She then began to sniff in the air and tried to listen for any sort of sounds.
After a while, she signaled me that it's safe then we silently went out.

We hit the jackpot!
After trying to find a way out, we accidentally stumbled inside a room full of all sorts of weapons inside.
Neat!
I saw a pair of gauntlets in which I handed to Bubu, who grinned evilly upon receiving them.
There's a spear like weapon that first got my attention and I was about to take it but to my great disappointment, it was so heavy that I can barely lift it from the ground.
Not good if you are trying to escape.
Hmmm...
Wait! This weapon looks interes....
No.
It's heavy as well.
Bubu tried to find a weapon for me, showing me all sorts of weapons she thinks that I can use easily.
Bow and arrow?
No. I'm bad at archery despite having good eyesight.
Sword?
Even worse.
Daggers?
I moved too slow.
She offered me her gauntlets but I gently turned her down, telling her that she's better at brawling than me.
Finally, I gave up as I can't see a weapon that I can use.
Bubu seemed to be engrossed with her own thoughts when she suddenly lit up and pulled something out of thin air.
How did she do that?
She simply grinned at me as she handed me a whip.
Before we went out, I saw a weapon that reminded me of my baton and hurriedly took it.
Then with a grin towards each other, we finally went out.

Whack! Whack! Whack!
I used the whip to pull an enemy towards me then immediately used my baton-like weapon to hit his extremities, making him yell in pain as Bubu pounced on him, knocking him cold.
Bubu seems to have the time of her life, punching our enemies all over their bodies that I began to have an ounce of sympathy towards them.
But they shouldn't kidnapped us in the first place as not all female creatures are helpless maidens.
Some are insane, to put it mildly.
Bubu and I started to have a sort of contest between us in which the enemies started to run away from us as soon as they saw us, making us seem like a predator chasing its prey though Bubu is a predator, not me.
I know that I can't change their way of life but may this experience they have with us give them a lesson and hopefully, may also give them second thoughts before kidnapping a female creature in the future.

We finally made our way out.
We are still inside the city though I don't have any idea which direction should we go as the city itself seems to be a world of its own.
True to my first impression of it, the city is built like some sort of a ladder. The inn where we stayed is somewhere at the middle of the mountain, which is a long way down from where we currently are.
We are near the top of the mountain and both of us are currently hiding behind a huge statue of some sorts.
This place seems like a maze for us, me especially as most of the time I have no sense of direction. Good thing that Bubu has good senses that helped us in getting out from the cave.
Yes. The place where we were imprisoned was a cave that is located beneath a building. It took a while for us to get out of the building though we managed to be successful but not before attacking our kidnappers ferociously.
We heard a couple of voices nearby and both of us readied our weapons.
I don't think they noticed us though as it seems they were discussing about something.
After listening for a long time, it became quiet as it seems that the creatures talking nearby left.
I can't understand what they were talking about so Bubu helpfully translated it for me.
It seems that the ruler of this place is coming to take the prisoners to his manor.
Prisoners.
Meaning us.
Both of us looked at each other in horror in which Bubu told me that if she is in her silly self, she definitely do not mind at all as she liked that sort of stuff. But now would be a nightmare.
There's no more time!
Since we are near the top of the mountain, we'll need to find a way to go down towards the middle of the mountain.
We managed to steal cloaks on our way down, making both of us feel secured on trying to blend in.
I don't think we can blend in as the deserters, creatures and other beings are way taller than us. But we managed to hide our faces using the hood of the cloak.
We held our weapons tightly underneath our cloak, ready for a fight in case someone might try to kidnap us again.
I wonder where Lion is training with the others?
And also, is he searching for me?
I'm sure that I placed my earring on a spot where he could easily find it.
Although, I have my doubts that he is looking for me as none of us expected that Bubu knows how to nullify magic.
I noticed that a lot of the deserters are glancing towards us, giving me a bad feeling.
We are definitely noticeable because of our sizes.
Bubu whispered to me that we probably should run in which I whispered back, telling her that it would be a bad idea and instead, try to find somewhere to hide for now.
To our good fortune, we saw an empty alley in which we sat down on the ground to take a rest.
Ha...
I'm so tired and hungry. Also, I need a bath as I felt sticky from all the fighting we did earlier.
Bubu seems to be thinking the same thing as she kept on scratching herself all over her body.
Sigh.
Suddenly, I heard someone vomiting near us.
I took a peek and saw a deserter vomiting his stomach out.
I couldn't see his face, only his back and was about to leave when I heard him asking for our help.
He saw us?
Now I know that it would be risky to help a stranger but against my better judgement, I approached him and asked him if he needs help.
When he turned his face towards me, I became speechless.
Yes, I know that I have a weakness for handsome and beautiful faces.
Anyway, he asked me if I could take the potion from his bag in which I glanced around and saw his bag a bit farther from where he is standing.
Bubu took it and gave it to me while staring at the handsome stranger's face.
After a bit of rummaging inside the bag, I saw it and helped the handsome stranger take a drink from it.
Soon, color starts to return to his face in which he gave a sigh of relief.
He stretched his arms and took another potion from his bag and drank it with one gulp. After wiping his mouth, he grinned at us.
He apologized to us for letting us see an unsightly sight in which I hurriedly reassured him that it was no trouble at all and that we are glad to help him in his predicament.
Bubu kept on staring at him so I continued to talk to him, asking him why he was vomiting earlier.
He sighed and told me that he's been like that since he was young and it usually happens after he eats something.
Hmmm..
Vomiting after eating that started when he was young....
He must be allergic to whatever he is eating.
I asked him what he usually eats in which he gave me a funny look and told me that everyone knows what deserters usually consume.
Ah!
He must be allergic to it.
I told him that the food he consumed is what made him vomit in which he began to look pensive. After a while, he nodded as he admitted that he haven't thought about that and I might be right after all as he hasn't tried consuming other types of food, including fruits.
He invited us to his place in which I was about to decline when suddenly, we heard footsteps approaching us.
Uh-oh.
Maybe it's time for us to leave.
Bubu and I were about to run for our lives when we were suddenly surrounded by several deserters that looked like warriors of some kind.
We are sooo dead.
Should we attack them?
I don't think we have a chance though.
A warrior pulled the hoods from our heads, revealing our faces towards them.
I can hear several gasps from the warriors in which the handsome stranger that we met, yelled at them to leave us alone.
The warriors kept staring at us, making me very uncomfortable though Bubu seems to like the attention.
I can hear several curses from the handsome stranger, in which he used some sort of a wind elemental spell that nearly made us, including the warriors lost our balance.
Argh!
My hair!
The handsome stranger started to approach us without stopping his blasted wind spell that kept on blowing my hair all over in which I glanced towards him angrily and yelled at him to stop making a mess out of my hair.
Seeing the warriors staring at me made me realize the uniqueness of my hair color that Leon made using his magic.
Ah.
I hate being the center of attention again even though I love my unnatural hair color.
The handsome stranger suddenly stopped and gazed at me with a certain look in his eyes.
Not again.
I told him that I'm leaving and tried to pull Bubu's arm when I noticed that she is starting to flirt with some of the warriors.
I facepalmed myself when I realized that the serious Bubu is gone and now I'm with the silly Bubu again.
To make things worse, she seems that she is full of lust after seeing the warriors.
Great.
The handsome deserter then cleared his throat and repeated his invitation again. Seeing that Bubu is not going anywhere made me accept it despite wanting to go back to the inn.
Also, the handsome deserter seems kind of decent and it would be a risk roaming around the city with silly Bubu beside me.
Sigh.
Maybe the warriors can satisfy her for now.
Seeing that I accepted his invitation, the handsome deserter gave me a shy smile and introduced himself to me.
His name is Khamsin and he's the current ruler of this city.
Wait.
Waitttttttt....
I remembered the conversation that Bubu and I overheard earlier in which the voices mentioned that the ruler is going to take the prisoners to his manor.
We fell right into his trap.
