He guffawed as he told me that those morons at the palace deserved it and that I stole some magic items that are irreplaceable.
We separated the things in which we put all things that I might use for combat, including the magic items and scrolls that I stole from the palace.

This isn't the deserters area as Sly explained to me earlier but a lot of deserters were sighted roaming around here which we found out after asking around.
I definitely can feel the creatures here are wilder compared to those at the territory. I can hear fighting and brawling in almost every corner.
Sounds of snarls and growls are everywhere as both of us are on high alert in which I tried not to stand out in my movements.
This place reminded me of a slum area but desert style.
I gripped my bag tightly as I began to think of what to use in case we might be attacked out of nowhere.
Then Sly suddenly stopped in which he place an arm in front of me, signaling me to stop. I heard some voices talking in another language that I don't understand but Sly seems to find it interesting that he signaled for me to follow him.

We were inside in an arena that is built with a design similar to the roman colosseum. Sly hurriedly explained to me that fights happened here more often that there's a chance that we might find Ghost here as he loves brawling way too much.
So many creatures here are watching the fights, shouting and screaming in which I began to feel uncomfortable as many of the eyes looked like they are hungry for blood.
I moved closer to Sly in which he put an arm on my shoulder as we watched several creatures biting, clawing and severely injuring each other.
I noticed that the way they fight is more beast like, not graceful in which they are acting based on their instincts without any techniques or smoothness in their movements.
More like two cats fighting against each other compared to organized fights we had at the training camp in which we had to use our mind to let our opponent's defenses down.
I began to hate watching the fights but I forced myself to endure it as I had to learn ways to defend myself from different kinds of attacks.
Suddenly, I noticed that the participants are wearing some kind of a cuff around their necks in which Sly explained that it absorbs magical energy from the creatures, forcing them to obey their master.
Most of the participants are deep in debt, criminals or those who lost their sanity. Of course there are some who joined for the sake of bloodlust, fame, glory and riches.
I'm not a pure person at heart so I don't really care what happens to them when suddenly, the creatures began to stamp on the floor and screaming loudly as what it seems to be the long time undefeated champion of the arena had just came out.
I was not surprised that the champion turned out to be Ghost.

But what surprised me is the cuff around his neck.
Sly asked the creature beside him in which the creature told him that the champion had killed the arena master's favorite offspring that he was forced to serve the master for the rest of his life in the arena.
Sly felt me trembling with anger in which he told me that we need to go to an inn and think of a plan.
He is right as always.
I'm just too impulsive most of the time.
