Chapter 3 - 3. Medium level fart power

Dutttt….

Liu Feng released a small portion of his power. He turned around and bent over. A long fart echoed from Liu Feng. Everyone had already hidden behind the kingdom's walls.

This was still a very low level, because Feng did not want to harm his people. And the smell spread instantly.

"Ahk!"

"The smell is exactly the same as His Majesty Liu's fart!"

"How could Prince Feng and Her Majesty Queen Liu have been expelled?"

Many of the soldiers hiding talked about it while pinching their noses.

"That's enough," Feng shouted loudly. He turned back around and faced forward again.

"You can come out of your hiding places. I only released a little of my fart power because I didn't want to hurt you. Do you believe me now?"

One by one, the soldiers finally came out of their hiding places. They walked toward Liu Feng, standing in groups in front of him, neatly lined up.

At the very front stood Liu Feng's masters.

"Prince, how is it that you and Her Majesty the Queen were expelled in the end? Who did this?"

"Who was the first to spread the false rumor that Her Majesty Queen Liu had an affair?"

A soldier raised his hand, asking Feng for permission. Others followed.

Feng looked around. He searched for the one who dared to slander his mother, but he could not find that person anywhere.

"Queen Zhenyi. Where is she? She must be the one behind all of this, because she wanted to seize my father and the kingdom," Feng said, searching for Queen Zhenyi.

Behind him, the magnificent upper buildings of the palace stretched out.

"Capture the traitor Queen Zhenyi and the fraud, Young King Zang!"

The war commander who had long led the soldiers under Young King Zang's rule shouted, commanding all his subordinates.

"Yes! Capture the fraud!"

"Punish him!"

"Punish them severely!"

They shouted in unison. Without even waiting for Prince Feng's command, they had already scattered to search for Zang and his mother.

Feng did not stop them. He also wanted to capture the two of them.

"Search for them and find them. Bring them to me alive!" Feng shouted, issuing his first command to the mass of troops.

Feng looked down at his three masters. They nodded proudly at him. He had endured patiently for so long, trained diligently, and now he had finally reclaimed this power.

"For the first time after so long, Mother… I can finally enter our home."

Accompanied by his three masters, Feng walked around, inspecting the palace and its surroundings while searching for Zang, his mother, and the traitors who sided with them. But Feng found none of them.

Feng entered the meeting hall where the king's throne stood. He walked slowly, looking around—at the palace wall decorations, the historical paintings, the portraits of his father and grandfather, and the king's seat: his magnificent throne, gleaming, made of pure gold.

"Master…"

Feng stopped walking. He did not dare to sit on that throne before receiving permission from his masters.

As he stepped up the stairs toward the throne, he stopped again and turned to look at the three masters.

Was he allowed to sit on his father's throne?

"Of course, Your Highness Prince. Please," said one of Feng's masters, bowing slightly and extending his hand toward Feng.

Feng nodded. He stepped forward again and, at last, proudly sat on his father's throne.

"Your Highness Prince Feng, forgive us. But we could not find Prince Zang or his mother anywhere."

"All the soldiers have searched even outside the palace, but it's as if they vanished."

The commander entered the hall, knelt before Feng, and reported.

"They must have fled earlier after hearing the commotion at the front," one of Feng's masters said.

"Master, may we set that matter aside just this once? I want to fetch my mother and bring her to the palace as soon as possible," Feng asked, interrupting his master.

"Yes. Of course."

The three masters had no objections.

Inside the hut where Feng and his mother lived, Feng and his three masters had already set up a protective barrier around the house.

It was like the combined power of Feng and his masters—unseen yet strong—forming invisible circles and waves surrounding the house. No one could break through that unseen barrier, unless their cultivation matched that of Feng and his three masters.

It took three days before Feng and his soldiers finally arrived at the house. Queen Liu waited every day. She could only stand at the doorway, gazing into the distance, hoping Feng and his group would arrive soon.

At last, a smile appeared on Queen Liu's beautiful lips. From afar, she saw Feng and his entourage approaching. Those who had departed on foot were now riding horses. There were royal banners and a carriage bearing the emblem of the Yulan Kingdom.

"My son Feng. You succeeded."

Queen Liu ran through the protective barrier Feng had created. Feng leapt down from his horse and ran toward his mother.

"Mother, look. We succeeded in taking back our kingdom. You will become queen of this city again, Mother." Feng hugged his mother tightly.

"Of course, my son. I am proud of you." Queen Liu embraced Feng, tears streaming down her face.

"Come, Mother, get into the carriage. We're going to the palace," Feng said gently. He took his mother's hand and slowly guided her into the horse-drawn carriage.

Feng's three masters also dismounted. They stood beside Queen Liu's carriage and bowed deeply in respect.

"Your Majesty Queen Liu."

"Welcome back as the queen of this realm."

The other soldiers also bowed and offered their greetings and respect to Queen Liu.

Queen Liu simply smiled, looking at them all with tear-filled eyes.

"I promise I will be a good and wise queen. And Prince Feng—I will make sure he becomes a good king as well." Queen Liu patted Feng's shoulder. Feng nodded at his mother.

Of course. He would become a good king, just as his mother wished.

Queen Liu entered the carriage. Feng mounted his horse again, and his masters did the same.

Feng and his entourage—the soldiers guarding him and Queen Liu—turned back and resumed their journey toward the palace.

The day of the official coronation ceremony for Prince Feng as the King of Yulan City finally arrived. Everyone who knew that the true heir of King Liu had returned to the throne came to the kingdom to celebrate and witness Feng's ascension.

Many young women from kingdoms beneath the cliffs of Yulan Hill and from the surrounding cities arrived. They were all beautiful, like celestial maidens.

"Your Majesty Queen Liu, congratulations on your return and on Prince Feng's return."

"Oh—pardon me, I mean King Liu the Younger. This is my daughter, Mei Lianhua."

A middle-aged woman, the queen of a neighboring kingdom, came forward to greet Queen Liu.

She arrived with her only daughter, who possessed great beauty. Behind the sheer fabric she wore, the girl smiled sweetly at Queen Liu and bowed respectfully.

"Please accept my greetings and respect, Your Majesty Queen Liu. I am Mei Lianhua."
