Chapter 107 - 106 Tang San's conspiracy I saw right through it!

Deifying Ah Yin might work, but there's still one prerequisite.

Ah Yin has to be revived first—clearly no easy task.

Chu Feng walked toward a meadow shimmering with blue light; everywhere grew Blue Silver Grass faintly rich in spiritual energy.

Ah Yin lay in an unremarkable corner, her life ebbing away.

From what Chu Feng could sense, she had once absorbed a measure of Heaven-and-Earth fortune.

Sadly, Tang Hao's death reduced it all to nothing; she'd had a real chance to take form on her own.

Such is the wonder of the Dao—yet also its cruelty.

Had Ah Yin not been entangled in karma with Tang Hao, she would most likely have become the first spirit beast to cultivate into human shape after the World's fusion.

It's an apt description, for the Douluo Continent today is no longer what it was—humans, gods, and demons all keep evolving.

"Who's there?"

Ah Yin was alert; Chu Feng ten metres away was still detected.

That she could even speak proved how abundant the World's spiritual energy had become.

"Chu Feng, here seeking opportunity."

He stepped lightly forward and crouched down.

He studied this hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Grass—'that dog Tang Hao truly wasted a treasure.'

"It's dangerous here; ever since an alien power appeared, demons have prowled nearby."

Ah Yin sounded gentle, yet the thought that she'd borne that cur Tang San still made Chu Feng pity her.

He brushed a leaf; fragrance and Spirit energy instantly filled his heart and nose.

"Danger is relative—to you, not to me. I'm here to help; meeting like this is fate, and I'll see it through."

With those words he revealed his intent to deify her.

Mother of Tang San she might be, but a married woman can be even better, can't she?

Besides, Tang San's character hardly bears scrutiny, whereas Ah Yin is innocent—reason enough for Chu Feng.

He would keep her from falling to corruption or dying alone in this silent place.

"Help? But I don't know you—how do you even know who I am?"

Overwhelmed, Ah Yin—lonely for so long—spoke with pain threading every word.

Chu Feng said, "It's all because of Tang Hao. Had he not wrought such evil, you and I would never have met."

So blunt a truth was hard to swallow, yet rather than protest she sank into thought.

By rights she should doubt him—so what felt off?

Chu Feng had come only through a chance given by the System; the method couldn't be wrong… 'Damn it, Chu Feng actually has designs on my mother!'

Soaking in Life-Spring Water, Tang San raged.

For now he couldn't leave—his body had recovered but his strength still needed time.

Besides, the Sea God had warned him: use your head, don't throw your life away again.

Through his first Spirit, Blue Silver Grass, and his divine force, he could sense every Blue Silver Grass on the continent, especially those rich in Spirit and cultivation.

It also meant that once revived he could ascend—only after full recovery would he obtain his God Position.

"I absolutely won't allow anything worse to happen."

Tang San was near exploding; he slammed the spring water in fury.

Then he looked aside—at the divine artifact the Sea God had left him.

"Qingling Devil-Intent Umbrella!"

He chanted its name—a genuine primordial divine weapon.

It had emerged together with the source of that dark art. Though the God Realm normally rejects outside power, its plight now forced it to release all once-forbidden items.

"They say it can appear anywhere in the realms of gods or men in an instant, silently casting a demonic shroud."

"Coupled with my divine force it should shield Mother from harm—worth a try."

"That Sea God keeps lecturing me about Chu Feng becoming some Sun God—time to see what he's really made of."

Tang San, ever 'well-intentioned', remained as arbitrary as ever.

He opened the pitch-black umbrella, gave the handle two flicks, and flung it hard.

The umbrella turned into an utterly traceless, intent-less, presence-less breath and sped toward the place in his heart.

Tang San's mouth twisted in glee: this time Chu Feng would suffer—an item rivalling a God-King… Meanwhile Chu Feng had finally found his answer: use the System's newly rewarded sacred heart green lotus.

It was a primordial holy object—bathed in Pangu's fortune and Nuwa's Spirit—worthy of the name Sacred Heart.

Producing it showed his sincerity; compared with Tang Hao's deeds he was incomparably generous.

No idle boast—Ah Yin trembled as the lotus slowly bloomed in Chu Feng's hand, rings of cyan light drifting outward.

Affected by the World's fortune yet unable to move or learn even basic Daoist knowledge, she now saw the lotus and everything became clear.

"I once thought that if spiritual energy were enough I could cultivate into human form again, without the endless wait—your lotus has given me back that hope."

Ah Yin spoke at last, though her heart still leaned toward Tang Hao, unaware of the full truth.

Chu Feng smiled: "This lotus was always meant for you, to help you revive—then I'll let you see Tang Hao's true face."

"He… what about him?" Ah Yin could hardly believe it.

Chu Feng sighed: "As I said, he caused your plight. All these years he wallowed in guilt yet never tried to save you—do you really think he was powerless?"

"This…" Grief struck Ah Yin.

But Chu Feng had no time for further talk; the All-Seeing Clear Eyes he had just equipped took effect.

A single sweep and he pierced the demonic shroud: a black umbrella hovered unseen over the Blue Silver meadow.

Outwardly calm, the scene inside his pupils was crystal clear.

And from it came a familiar aura—undoubtedly Tang San.

The cur had apparently forgotten to mask his own qi when wielding the artifact.

Chu Feng rose and said gravely to Ah Yin, "Leave Tang Hao aside for now—your unfilial son Tang San is already plotting to kill us both!"
