The members of the Revolutionary Army traded uneasy looks; what Marco had just revealed was clearly beyond anything they'd imagined. Sabo leaned forward, his expression grave.

"Then back on Egghead Island," he asked, "how did you manage to repel the Gorosei, the God's Knights, and that Imu clone?"

Marco paused, choosing his words, then replied, "Because I released the Conqueror's Haki that Joy Boy left behind eight hundred years ago. That Conqueror's Haki forced the Gorosei and the God's Knights back to Mary Geoise, leaving only an Imu clone behind on Egghead. The Holy Knight that Imu was possessing couldn't withstand Imu's full power, so I was able to defeat him."

Ivankov frowned, still puzzled. "You just said you released the Conqueror's Haki left by Joy Boy eight hundred years ago, and that's what sent the Gorosei and the God's Knights back to Mary Geoise. What exactly happened?"

Marco patiently elaborated, "When Conqueror's Haki reaches a certain intensity, it can be stored. The Haki I released was Joy Boy's Conqueror's Haki from eight hundred years ago. The Gorosei and the God's Knights came to Egghead using a teleportation magic circle. When I unleashed Joy Boy's Conqueror's Haki, it disrupted their magic circle and forced it to send them back to Mary Geoise."

"I see," Ivankov murmured, finally grasping it.

Sabo pressed on. "Then what is the method you just mentioned for breaking immortality?"

"It's simple in theory, but extremely difficult in practice," Marco answered with a faint smile. "First, to break immortality, you must possess Conqueror's Haki. Without it, it's impossible."

"Second, that Conqueror's Haki has to reach a very high level. Above Conqueror's Haki Infusion, there's an even stronger realm that I call 'Precision Strike.' Simply put, it's focusing Conqueror's Haki Infusion onto a single point and then unleashing it. That's how you can break their immortality."

"Right now, only Kaido and I can use this power. Even Linlin hasn't mastered it yet."

The moment Marco mentioned her, Big mom snorted, clearly displeased. "Hmph! I will master that power very soon; just you wait!"

Marco then added, "Oh, and what I just explained applies to the Gorosei. I don't know if the God's Knights are weak to Seastone—maybe Seastone can be used against them."

"However, even with Seastone as their weakness, they're far from easy to handle. Every single Holy Knight has the combat power of a criminal with a bounty over one billion berries."

Cold sweat beaded on Dragon's forehead as he listened. He had once believed that toppling the 170-plus member nations under the World Government would be enough to bring the entire system down. Now, he realized just how naive that idea had been. As long as the Gorosei, the God Knights, and Imu existed, the World Government would never truly fall.

To overthrow it, all of them would have to be defeated.

"I understand," Dragon said gravely. "I saw the name of that Imu you mentioned on a poneglyph. His name is Nerona Imu, and he was a Celestial Dragon from eight hundred years ago."

"We already knew that," Marco replied coolly.

Then he turned to Dragon. "Since we now share a common goal and have decided to bring down the World Government together, does your Revolutionary Army have any plans for what comes next?"

"We've already planted the seeds of revolution in more than 170 countries," Dragon answered earnestly. "Once the World Government suffers a serious blow, we can trigger uprisings in all of them at the same time and overthrow those member nations."

Marco shook his head, his expression hardening. "It's pointless. Even if you overthrow them, nothing will really change as long as those elite Celestial Dragons remain undefeated."

On top of that, Marco had no intention of letting the Revolutionary Army pour all their strength into just toppling the member nations. There was a real chance that, after the fall of the World Government, the Revolutionary Army could become their next enemy.

Dragon, whose political instincts outstripped even his combat power, immediately grasped Marco's concern. He spoke solemnly: "To be honest, even after we overthrow the World Government, the Revolutionary Army has no intention of turning against your Three Emperors' Alliance. As long as you treat the people well, I genuinely don't care who ends up ruling this world."

Dragon was right. After hearing Marco's description of the God's Knights, the Gorosei, and Imu, he understood that defeating them would be anything but simple. Even if the Revolutionary Army joined forces with the Three Emperors Alliance, toppling the World Government still wouldn't be easy. For eight hundred years, that monstrous system had stood. No matter how rotten it was on the inside, a foundation built over eight centuries couldn't be underestimated.

Marco, however, had no intention of going deeper into that topic with Dragon right now. He hadn't even found the Pure Gold yet.

After reclaiming Fish-Man Island, Marco had ordered the Sun Pirates' new captain, Aladin, to lead the fishmen in searching for the anglerfish that supposedly carried Pure Gold in its body.

The problem was Marco knew almost nothing about the creature—only that it was a gigantic anglerfish. That was it. During this time, the Sun Pirates had indeed found several massive anglerfish and captured them with the help of sea beasts, but none of them were the one Marco wanted; not a single one contained pure gold.

The oceans of this world were far too vast. Even if that anglerfish were enormous, it wouldn't be easy to track down, and giant anglerfish were hardly unique in these seas.

"It's still too early to talk about things like that," Marco said calmly. "We can discuss it after the World Government's been overthrown."

Dragon only gave a slight nod, dropping the subject. "Then what are your Three Emperors Alliance's plans or intentions from here on?"

Marco glanced back at Vegapunk, then replied seriously, "For the time being, our next moves will revolve around Vegapunk."

"Me?" Vegapunk looked genuinely surprised.

Big mom bared her teeth in a feral grin. "Mamamama! Vegapunk, you shouldn't underestimate your own value!"

Kaido snorted, hot air blasting from his nostrils. He said coldly, "I need you to help me repair Pluton."

Big mom immediately voiced her own desire. "As for me, I want you to continue the human giantification experiment. That's a dream I've always had, so you have to make it come true for me, Vegapunk."

Vegapunk burst out, "Human gigantification experiment? Wait, that kind of research was banned by the World Government long ago—and even I can't complete a project like that!"

Vegapunk had always been firmly opposed to inhumane research like human giantification. He had attempted it in the past, but the conclusion was clear: success was impossible. Even if ordinary humans were forced into bodies like those of the Giant Race through drugs, the resulting forms would be riddled with fatal flaws.

Some subjects completely lost their sense of self, becoming little more than walking corpses. Others retained their consciousness, but their remaining lifespan shrank to only a few years—or even less.

In short, every attempt so far had ended in failure. Continuing such experiments was no different from committing murder.

Big mom said with clear displeasure, "How can you say there isn't? Aren't those numbers in the Beasts Pirates the test subjects from Punk Hazard's human giantification experiment? Even though all those test subjects died in the Egghead Island War, the power they had is beyond doubt."

"They were failures!" Vegapunk snapped back at once. "In the end, they all lost themselves and turned into monsters that only moved on instinct. It's the same as killing them! I absolutely will not conduct human giantification experiments ever again!"

"What did you say?" Big mom's face darkened in an instant, and a crushing, murderous aura surged from her, bearing down on Vegapunk.

Terrified, Vegapunk immediately ducked behind Marco and shouted, "Marco! You promised back then you wouldn't force me to do things I don't want to do! Human giantification is simply impossible to complete successfully—it only leads to murder!"

Marco understood Vegapunk's moral bottom line. Though he was a scientist, his ethics were far higher than those of Caesar, Queen, or Judge. His inventions had always been aimed at benefiting humanity as a whole.

Marco had no desire to see Vegapunk lose that original intent. The line between a genius and a madman was perilously thin. Far too many scientists, in order to push their research forward and prove their theories, cast aside their humanity and became devils who trampled over human lives.

Marco himself was no saint—but precisely because of that, he knew the world needed someone like Vegapunk: a man with both the power to change the world and the will to make it better.

He spoke to Big mom in a measured tone, "You can try to convince the Doctor about the human gigantification experiment slowly—but you can't use force."

Marco finished speaking, then deliberately turned his back on Big mom and faced Vegapunk instead.

"My goal here," he said, "is for you to repair the Seraphim, transfer their control to me, and recharge the energy stone for the giant robot Emit."

Kaido immediately roared, veins bulging on his forehead. "Hey, Marco! We agreed earlier I'd get at least one Seraphim! Don't you forget that!"

Big mom bellowed as well, her voice booming through the lab. "I also need the right to use at least one Seraphim!"

Marco didn't argue. He nodded. "Fine. But you'll have to wait until the doctor finishes repairing them first."

He understood how the Seraphim's authority system worked. As long as his clearance was higher than Kaido's and Big mom's, there would be no problem.

Marco then glanced at Kaido, expression turning serious. "Kaido, looks like Tesoro has replaced Joker and become your new partner, hasn't he?"

Kaido gave a slight nod.

"This guy's loaded," Marco went on. "Let's drag him into the alliance too. The doctor's research equipment is all destroyed now. We'll definitely need a mountain of money to rebuild everything. You can't be the only one milking that money cow."

Big mom's eyes gleamed viciously. "That's right, Kaido, pull that guy into the alliance too! How can such a useless weakling have so much money? By what right?!"

Kaido bared his teeth in a savage grin. "Worororo! I was thinking the same thing. Leave it to me. If he's not willing to pay up, then there's no point in letting him live."

On the other side, the Revolutionary Army members were watching the Three Emperors' alliance and had roughly grasped their plans. Dragon spoke solemnly:

"My plan won't change for now. I've been preparing it for many years. In my view, it's necessary to overthrow all the member nations of the world government. Those countries constantly provide soldiers and money to the government. Only by toppling the nations loyal to the World Government can we gradually dismantle it."

Kaido snorted impatiently. "Do as you please!"

"Alright." With that, Dragon tossed a transponder snail to Marco.

Marco reached out and caught it. Dragon said, "From now on, we'll use the transponder snail to stay in touch. If anything happens, we can contact each other."

"Got it."

With everything settled, both sides set sail…

In the latter half of the New World, in the Giant Kingdom—Elbaf.

At this time, Saint Figarland Shamrock, leader of the God's Knights, launched an assault on Elbaf and had already brought a portion of the giant race under control.

To seize the power of the Giants, Imu possessed Gunko's body and personally forged a devilish contract with the Giant warriors of Elbaf, turning them into war slaves.

Imu, speaking through Gunko's form, said to Shamrock, "The giant soldiers of Elbaf have become Mu's slaves. Next, they must be transported to the Holy Land."

Shamrock answered in a low, solemn voice, "Imu-sama, transporting these giant slaves to the Holy Land will not be easy. They'll have to pass through the territory of the Three Emperors Alliance, and they will surely be discovered."

Imu did not respond to the concern itself, only saying calmly, "Then have the Marines send troops. It will be a good opportunity to test the strength of these giant slaves."

Hearing this, Shamrock bowed his head respectfully. "Yes. I will definitely carry out Imu-sama's orders."
