Adel looked around, surprised that he still didn't understand.
"It means why are we here? Because red means this area is dangerous."
While they were talking, Amir tried to quiet them.
"Shhhhhh."
Everyone looked at him as he put his finger to his lips to silence them and said in a low voice,
"Do you hear that sound?"
Everyone listened and indeed heard a sound, and it was something approaching them.
As they turned around, they heard a sound that was unmistakable: the trigger of a rifle.
"Everyone raise your hands now!"
They heard a gruff voice, and it seemed he meant what he said.
Adel drew his pistol on the man, who emerged from the fog, pointing his rifle at them.
The man continued walking as if he didn't care about Adel's weapon pointed at him, much to Adel's surprise.
At that moment, more than four men emerged, each with his own rifle.
The man, who looked aggressive, looked at Adel.
"Didn't you hear what I said?" Everyone raised their hands behind their heads.
One of them fired a shot into the air.
This terrified them, and they realized things were getting out of control and that they were capable of harming them.
Adel looked at them angrily and lowered his weapon.
But what was most frightening wasn't the sound of the shot, but the sound of someone shouting and firing from behind them.
Everyone knew the source of the sound.
Bodies emerged from the shadows, and their shadows didn't suggest they were human. The terrifying thing was that their numbers far exceeded the number of weapons.
The men turned with their weapons, and at the first distant shot, they fired at those shadows, which showed no sign of shrinking or diminishing in number.
Amir and the rest of the group looked at each other and knew that this could be the end of them.
Mary grabbed her brother's hand after they tried to flee in the opposite direction, but it seemed that the sound of the gunshot had gathered the dead around them from all sides, and they were now trapped in a circle of death that was closing in on them.
Silence and resignation fell as the dead drew near and began to devour. The men's bodies were riddled with weapons, to the point that one of them committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with his own gun, rather than die a slow death like his comrade.
Tears began to stream down Mary's face amidst Malik's screams. She asked him what to do and started firing bullets indiscriminately after pulling them from his trousers where he had hidden them.
He even began to contemplate suicide, just like the other man.
At that moment, everyone heard a strange noise approaching, followed by the sound of bones cracking.
A tank emerged from the shadows… and a young man stepped out of the tank hatch and said:
"There's no time to think! Jump onto the tank if you want to live!"
