Chapter 2 - The Mysterious House

The car finally stopped at the side of the road. The sound of sirens no longer reached Omar. Everything was silent… a strange kind of silence, as if the air itself had frozen what had just happened. His heart pounded violently, eyes tracking every movement, every small detail. The world had become cautious all of a sudden.

Omar arrived at his grandmother's house. A place he had only seen in fleeting photos as a child. The front door was heavy, the wood dark, coated with a thin layer of dust, as if time itself had slowed. The entire house was still. A heavy silence pressed on his chest.

Grandmother greeted him quietly. No smile, yet not cold. Her mysterious eyes watched every movement, every breath. Omar couldn't explain his feelings… a mix of safety and fear, familiar warmth, and complete mystery all at once.

After he unpacked his things in the small room, Omar tried to fill the silence with words:

"Mom… Dad… what happened to them?" His voice trembled.

Grandmother didn't answer directly. She simply raised her hand slightly, signaling him to sit. "Everything in its time," it seemed to say.

At night, when the lights dimmed, Omar sneaked up to the TV room upstairs, carrying his new console. His heart still heavy from the accident, the game was his only escape. He put the headphones on and started exploring the menu. Everything seemed normal… until…

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed movement below. Grandmother was there, moving strangely, performing what looked like a ritual. Omar couldn't understand what she was doing, but he felt something… something unsettling.

Still, he couldn't tear his eyes from the game. The colors, the sounds, the feeling of control—it all drew him in. What he didn't know was that this moment marked the convergence of his world, the game world, and his grandmother's mysterious world.

When he pressed "Start," something unexpected happened: the screen shook slightly, sounds that weren't coming from the headphones echoed, as if the game itself was breathing. His heart raced. The zombies on the screen weren't just icons anymore… they were alive, watching, waiting for his first mistake.

Suddenly, the entire TV room trembled. Light spread to every corner, shadows began to move in ways he had never seen. Omar didn't understand, but his gut told him: This is no longer just a game.

The heavy silence of the house became more pronounced. He sensed something watching him from every corner. He no longer knew where the game ended and reality began, but he felt that his true adventure had j

ust begun.
