Chapter 12: You're Holding Spears, But I'm Holding a Cannon
"Surround them! Don't let a single one escape!"
With a furious roar, Axe Emperor Morgan arrived on the scene with a large number of Marine soldiers.
When he saw his son lying on the ground, Morgan's brows immediately furrowed.
"You—were you the one who put my son down?"
After ordering the soldiers to raise their rifles and aim at Luffy and the others, Morgan strode up to Rozi's group.
"Yes, I knocked him down."
"He's really weak. I just released the Red Ogre and they all dropped."
Luffy scratched the back of his head and gave Morgan a big grin.
To Morgan, that grin was pure provocation.
"Even if that idiot son of mine is trash, and getting beaten is only because he's too weak…"
"Laying a hand on my son without my permission—are you provoking the greatest Captain Morgan?"
Morgan roared and swung the axe on his arm straight down at Luffy's head.
Luffy's mouth curled upward. His right hand formed into a claw and he swung a punch at Morgan at high speed.
"Gum-Gum, Fork!"
As Luffy shouted, his arm instantly stretched out, and a silver fork formed at his palm, crashing into Morgan's axe.
Clang!
Morgan's axe arm snapped backward, and his body stumbled two steps back as well.
"That guy's arm can stretch? Did you teach him that, Rozi?" Zoro asked in surprise.
"I didn't teach him that. That's Luffy's own ability," Rozi shook his head.
"Captain Morgan, are you alright?"
"Captain Morgan got pushed back—how is that possible?"
"That brat… he actually pushed Captain Morgan back."
"Wait, look at that black-haired guy—aren't those the rumors going around lately? Isn't that Rozi?"
"What?! Rozi, that pirate with a bounty over one hundred million could show up here?"
A Marine recognized Rozi, and shocked cries immediately spread across the base plaza.
"Shut up, you weaklings!"
"Calm down. It's just a slightly higher bounty, that's all."
"As long as I'm here, he'll still be captured!"
Morgan swung his axe and sent the nearest trembling Marine soldier flying, his furious scolding echoing into every Marine's ears.
At that, the soldiers who were already afraid began shaking even harder.
"Hey! You bastard—attacking your own comrades?!" Luffy frowned and yelled at Morgan.
"Hmph. They're just a bunch of weak underlings. How could they be my comrades?"
"Who do you think I am? I'm the greatest Captain Morgan."
"All of you, raise your rifles. If you don't, don't blame me for punishing you!"
Morgan raised his axe high, as if he had completely forgotten he'd just been driven back by Luffy.
Jango's hypnosis is seriously impressive—making an ordinary Marine that arrogant.
Rozi shook his head, inwardly admiring Jango of the Black Cat Pirates for his hypnosis.
Facing the rifles pointed at him by trembling Marines, Rozi snapped his fingers.
In the next moment, several golden ripples spread open beside him, and one cannon turret after another popped out from the ripples.
"Amazing—Rozi can use Captain Drake's ability too?"
"Does that mean he can summon an invincible fleet like hers?"
Rozi's golden ripples naturally didn't escape Luffy's eyes. Looking at the cannons, Luffy's eyes instantly turned gold.
"Brat, why are you so excited? What kind of weird ability is that?" Zoro muttered, confused.
"Some female pirate captain, Drake's cannons…" Nami frowned. "This man can use her ability already?"
"No… don't tell me he can use all Heroic Spirit powers?"
Rozi didn't respond to Nami. He manifested Drake's flintlock and pointed it at Morgan and the others, smiling.
"I suggest you put down your weapons."
"You're pointing guns at me, but I'm pointing cannons at you."
Hearing that, the Marines who were already wary of Rozi involuntarily took a step back.
"Ridiculous. It's just some weird ability. How could it possibly—"
Boom!
Before Morgan could finish, he was cut off by a deafening cannon blast.
One of the turrets beside Rozi fired instantly, and a golden flash obliterated Morgan's huge statue in the distance.
After that, the golden laser didn't lose momentum and slammed into the Marine base buildings, causing a section of houses to collapse.
"So awesome… Drake's cannons."
"Hey, Rozi—summon those fleets too. I want to see those fleets!"
Luffy excitedly ran up in front of Rozi, even forgetting the stunned Marines who'd been frozen in place by Rozi's bombardment
