Chapter 239 - Chapter 239: Big Mom’s Used Panties

The first item's description surfaced in Amon's vision and he immediately wished it hadn't.

[Big Mom's Used Panties]: Freshly removed from Big Mom herself. Her lingering presence remains on the fabric.

Amon choked.

He turned away, composed himself, and turned back. The description had not changed.

Of all the things the system could have produced, it had gone with this. He stood very still for a moment, processing the specific horror of it, and then made a deliberate effort not to look directly at the item again. The mental image of Big Mom's dimensions alone was enough to produce a full-body shudder. He was grateful, with genuine intensity, that he hadn't picked it up reflexively.

Still. He thought about Brook, who asked about underwear every single time without exception, who had been alone in this fog for fifty years, who had never once been rewarded for the habit.

Today was apparently that day.

Amon pressed his lips together and moved on to the second item before the grin could fully form.

[Restoration Pill]: Upon consumption, restores the user's body to its peak condition, including any cultivation or ability that has regressed due to injury.

Now that was genuinely interesting.

Brook's actual power was something most people had never witnessed. Amon knew what it looked like from the source material. During the two-year timeskip, while the rest of the Straw Hats had trained themselves to their limits, Brook had done what Brook did, performing, playing music, being Brook, and had somehow emerged with combat capability that stood alongside the best of the Emperor's crews. The implication was that Brook's true ceiling had always been extraordinary. The problem wasn't his potential. It was whatever had accumulated over fifty years of fighting an unwinnable battle in a body that couldn't properly recover.

The Restoration Pill would fix all of that at once. If Brook's real strength was Emperor-level adjacent, recovering it meant he could take Ryuma on properly.

Amon moved to the third item.

[Large Video Call Invitation Card]: Allows the user to initiate a video call with any person of their choosing.

He'd seen this one before. Straightforward, no surprises, exactly what it said.

Brook had drifted closer, watching Amon's face for cues. "Amon, were any of my items useful? Did the communication device come out?"

"It did," Amon said. "Along with two other things that aren't bad either."

Brook's eye sockets went glassy. Whatever mechanism produced tears in a body without tear ducts apparently still functioned, because his cheeks were damp almost immediately. The Rumble-Rumble Fruit was strange in many ways, but this was perhaps the strangest.

"Truly?"

"Truly. And the first one in particular," Amon said, picking up the item carefully and stepping away from Robin and Lily before continuing in a lower voice, "is something you're going to appreciate very much."

Brook blinked. Or approximated it. "The first one? What is it?"

"A pair of women's underwear. Used. From a great beauty who goes by the name Big Mom."

Brook went very still.

Then the stillness broke into something that could only be described as the facial expression of a skeleton becoming a gentleman in real time.

"A great beauty... Big Mom... used..."

He reached out and took the item with both hands, raised it slowly, and inhaled.

Amon looked away.

Across the deck, Robin had caught fragments of the exchange and was trying to make sense of them. She'd heard the name Big Mom, and she'd heard Amon describe her as a great beauty, and her expression had traveled through several distinct phases before settling on something politely unreadable. Robin had read enough about the world to know exactly what Charlotte Linlin looked like, and the description Amon had just offered did not align with any known documentation on the subject.

She decided not to pursue it.

Brook, meanwhile, was entirely absorbed.

Amon watched him for approximately three seconds and then made a firm internal decision.

"Brook," he said. "Perhaps we move on to the other items."
