The scene before him left the ship captain—who had just stepped onto the deck—completely speechless.
His throat felt tight, his chest crushed by an invisible weight of shock and fear.
Only that suffocating pressure proved this was all real.
After Naruto landed, his giant form shrank rapidly back to normal.
He brushed away the gore on his palm, then ducked briefly into his Mirror World.
When he returned, Sasuke had already leapt down from the ship.
Sasuke frowned at the mangled pile of flesh that had once been human.
"With your strength, you didn't need that method."
Naruto, masked, couldn't see Sasuke's expression—but he could hear the discomfort in his voice.
Naruto flicked his sleeve.
A gleaming longsword fell neatly into his hand.
"Methods don't matter.
I was just testing a jutsu.
And they were enemies—no reason to hold back."
He tilted his head slightly.
"What? Can't stomach it?
Should I have a clone send you back?"
Sasuke's eyes chilled instantly.
A blade appeared in his own hand.
"Where to next?"
Naruto gestured with his sword and walked forward.
"Their research facility first.
Then we visit the master of this country.
Time he learned the price of breaking the rules."
Sasuke's expression sharpened.
Naruto's tone was calm, almost indifferent—
yet Sasuke suddenly recalled the image of Naruto in the Land of Waves, splitting a bandit in half with a single axe.
Half an hour later…
They arrived before a massive ten-story structure—over thirty meters tall, built entirely of reinforced concrete.
Its modern, industrial design looked eerily similar to buildings from Naruto's previous life.
As they approached the steps, the doors slid open.
Six Snow shinobi burst out.
"Identify yourselves!"
Naruto and Sasuke struck simultaneously—
thin blades slicing through six throats almost too fast to see, spraying arcs of red across the white snow.
The bodies collapsed, the only reason they'd stepped outside being the surveillance devices inside.
Naruto crouched and pressed his hand onto one shinobi's head.
Moments later, he stood and said to Sasuke:
"Top five floors or bottom five?"
Sasuke glanced up.
"What's inside?"
Naruto stepped onto the stairs.
"Each floor has decent equipment.
The top two have several genin guarding newly developed prototypes.
The bottom nine floors are filled with researchers and mid-ranking ninja—about as weak as these six."
Sasuke looked at the corpses with mild disdain.
"In that case, I'll take the lower floors."
Naruto had reached the entrance.
Hearing Sasuke's choice, he stepped aside.
"After you."
Sasuke strode past him—
but paused briefly to glance back.
Something felt wrong.
Masks hid their expressions, so Sasuke couldn't be sure.
Still, he'd chosen.
He entered.
Naruto's mouth curved beneath his mask.
He hadn't mentioned that on the second floor was a supervisor—
a fat man wearing chakra armor.
There was only one armored shinobi in the whole building,
but Sasuke, unaware of the setup, would not find that fight easy.
Once the battle noises hummed through the building, Naruto created a clone and sent it to another target—
then walked up the outer wall to the sixth floor.
With one slash, he carved open the steel door.
Ten Snow ninja were already waiting, weapons drawn.
Naruto clicked his tongue.
"Still idiots.
Even now, you obey the order: 'Don't wear armor without permission.'
Pathetic."
He split into ten shadow clones and surged forward.
Moments later, the floor was a slaughterhouse.
Naruto sealed away everything of value and moved to the seventh floor.
A Snow ninja suddenly smashed through the glass wall of the hallway, kunai aimed directly at Naruto's throat.
Naruto blurred.
His fist cracked the shinobi's jaw—
the man slammed into the wall and slid down lifelessly.
Turning the corner, Naruto encountered another Snow shinobi—this one wearing chakra armor.
"Much smarter than the last floor."
The armored man snapped back:
"INTRUDERS! You're courting death! Lord Kazahana—"
Naruto cut him off with a shake of the head.
"Never mind. I take it back."
He bent his knees—
BOOM!
The floor spider-webbed under his feet as he launched forward.
The shinobi saw a blur—
then a crescent flash—
THUD.
A headless body slumped.
Naruto stepped over it into the equipment hall.
Three Snow shinobi waited, arranged in a pincer formation.
Naruto flicked his sword.
Red droplets pattered onto the polished white floor.
"I'm in a hurry.
If everyone on this floor is wearing armor…
then this will be quick."
He vanished into afterimages.
One shinobi stumbled back in terror—
before a hand clamped onto the top of his skull.
CRACK.
His neck twisted grotesquely sideways.
A few minutes later, Naruto had cleared the top three floors.
He reached the tenth floor—
And paused.
The entire room was empty except for a single craft:
a thirty-meter prototype chakra-powered airship.
Naruto inspected it.
Compared to the finished model from the Snow Country movie timeline, this was still an early prototype.
After thinking it over, Naruto used Flying Thunder God to reappear beside Sasuke, who was just finishing the fifth floor.
"You're fast."
Sasuke sealed the last set of armor into a scroll and replied coldly:
"The chakra armor amplifies chakra output, strengthens ninjutsu, and creates an invisible protective layer that blocks some attacks—even genjutsu to a degree.
But once overloaded, it's nothing but scrap metal."
Naruto dusted his hands.
"Good summary."
Sasuke's jaw twitched beneath his mask.
"Let's go. The sooner we finish, the better."
Naruto placed a hand on his shoulder.
"No worries.
This part will be quick."
A breath later—
They appeared before a sprawling palace complex.
Naruto created six shadow clones.
"Have the Snow shinobi take us to their master.
Any objection?"
Sasuke said nothing and strode ahead.
Soon, with Snow shinobi surrounding them, they entered the main hall and met:
Kazahana Dotō, the daimyo of the Snow Country.
Dotō sat atop the central throne.
Two elite guards—a man and a woman—stood at the base of the staircase on either side.
Seeing unknown intruders being escorted in, the guards immediately tensed, rushing forward defensively.
Naruto, standing in the back, eyed Dotō's elevated position.
Good height.
Sasuke gave a gesture.
The Snow shinobi retreated and shut the doors.
Dotō bolted to his feet, his two guards stepping protectively in front of him.
Sasuke charged straight for the male guard.
Five of Naruto's clones encircled the female.
Naruto himself and his final clone retreated to the rafters.
"Ice Release — Ice Prison!" ×2
The two guards slammed their hands to the ground.
Jagged ice pillars erupted across the hall.
Sasuke leapt high, fingers flying into hand seals.
"Lightning Release — Thunderclap Lance!"
A razor-sharp spear of black lightning ripped forward.
Naruto's clones evaded and slammed their palms onto the ground:
"Lightning Release — Thunder Tiger Rampage!"
Five snarling tigers of pure lightning erupted across the hall from different angles.
Sasuke, landing on the wall, caught sight of Naruto and a clone perched on the ceiling beams.
"Didn't he say this would be quick?"
He almost complained—but stopped.
Because Naruto suddenly formed a strange hand seal he didn't recognize.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes.
"What jutsu is that?"
On the throne, Dotō felt a chill.
He noticed Naruto's odd gesture—
but believed his chakra armor would protect him.
Then—
A foreign voice sounded inside his mind.
"So Mind Transfer no Jutsu doesn't trigger the Mirror World's defense mechanisms?"
Dotō froze.
"You—!"
Naruto's voice echoed calmly inside his consciousness.
"Time for me to log in."
Dotō's vision went black.
