12 Temari Explodes!!!
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?" Temari exclaimed, her frustration boiling over.
"Lady Hokage, if I may speak honestly, Naruto not only defeated the so-called Hyuuga prodigy in the Chunin Exams, but he also fought and defeated my brother when the invasion began. He performed a boss-level summoning, cast a transformation jutsu on the summoning itself, and even improved Gaara's outlook. I need someone to explain to me why he is not qualified for a promotion while this lazy ass is!" Temari's face flushed red with anger.
"Wait a minute, Naruto wasn't the one who defeated Gaara; it was Sasuke-kun who saved me," Sakura interjected, a hint of defensiveness in her voice.
"I know what I saw, Haruno. Are you implying that I am blind?" Temari shot back, glaring at her.
"Leave it, Temari. She'll always believe that Sasuke defeated Gaara in her delusional mind," Naruto said with a bored expression. "It's always Sasuke to her."
He turned back to Tsunade with a smirk. "Don't waste your energy on her. If Tsunade Senju—the strongest kunoichi of this era—cannot remove that delusion, nobody can."
Naruto focused his attention back on the Hokage. "So, how about my proposal? If I defeat all of them, I get the promotion I clearly deserve, as our beautiful desert princess just argued."
Temari blushed at being called the "beautiful desert princess."
"Are you sure about that, Naruto? Do you think you can take them all on by yourself? You aren't the only one who has been training for the past three years," Tsunade replied, her voice heavy with concern.
"Come on, Auntie Tsunade, you've seen my reports. We all know that no matter how much the weaklings train, they'll never surpass the strong," Naruto shot back with a teasing grin.
Sakura's temper flared. "Who are you calling a weakling, idiot?"
"I didn't name anyone, Sakura. But if you're getting angry, it means you know the label fits," Naruto replied, his expression remaining bored.
"Alright, enough!" Tsunade interjected. "Sakura, control your anger. And Naruto, don't be so overconfident." She glared at him to ensure he understood the gravity of his choice. "As I asked before: are you sure?"
Naruto nodded confidently. "I'm sure, Hokage-sama."
Tsunade glanced at Jiraiya, seeking his input. When he gave her a subtle nod, she closed her eyes and sighed heavily.
"Fine," she said, opening her eyes to look at Naruto. "We will do it your way. Tomorrow at 7:00 a.m., you will have your reevaluation match against Team 10, Team 8, Team Guy, and Sakura. I will be there with the Jonin senseis to observe your performance. Does that work for you?"
"Yeah, I'm fine with that," Naruto replied. He turned toward Temari. "I'm going to grab something to eat. Want to join me?"
Temari, caught off guard by the sudden invitation, hesitated for a moment before offering a small smile. "Sure, Naruto. I would love to join!"
With that, the two of them left to find something to eat.
