Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Advent of the Tree World

Just like before, the three Chu Yangs only stayed briefly in the palace before being swallowed once again by the mist.

When they awoke, each had already returned to their own world.

In the pirate world, Chu Yang was standing aboard the ship, receiving cheers from the crew.In the magical world, Chu Yang was preparing for enrollment at a new school.

And in the Naruto world—

A massive war, one destined to reshape the entire shinobi world, was about to erupt.

In this era, ninja villages had not yet come into existence. This was an age dominated by clans—an age defined by chaos and endless warfare.

Within the shinobi world, the two most renowned clans were mobilizing their forces, preparing for a decisive clash.

The Senju Clan.The Uchiha Clan.

Their conflict had lasted for many years. In a sense, the history of their war was the history of the shinobi world itself.

As the war dragged on, the battle lines stretched farther and farther, creating enormous logistical demands.

Not long after returning from the Soul Palace, Chu Yang received orders from his clan. He was to join a small squad tasked with ambushing the Uchiha Clan's supply unit.

This had long since become routine in the war.

The Senju Clan's logistics were frequently targeted by Uchiha raids as well.

Back and forth, the two sides adapted to these attacks, growing more vigilant. What had once been simple ambushes gradually evolved into a contest of reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance.

Chu Yang's squad spent two full days chasing the enemy supply unit across the grasslands before finally confirming their location.

Night fell.

The Uchiha supply force made camp downstream along a small river, while Chu Yang's squad lay in ambush within the nearby forest.

"The Uchiha Clan's Sharingan may not be as specialized for scouting as the Byakugan, but its observational power is still extremely strong," the squad leader warned repeatedly.

"When we move, make sure to carefully control your chakra flow. Don't alert them."

Most of the squad members were very young, with little experience fighting the Uchiha.

There was even a boy who had only just joined the war.

The leader's gaze lingered on Chu Yang. He sighed inwardly—someone this young and inexperienced was the most likely to die on the battlefield.

Under cover of darkness, the squad slipped into the river and slowly swam toward the enemy camp.

Bringing up the rear, Chu Yang sensed something was off.

There were very few sentries.

They hadn't even fully covered the perimeter—especially along the riverbank, where there wasn't a single guard in sight.

Worse still, the camp was eerily quiet, as if everyone inside had fallen into a deathlike sleep.

Both of these were incredibly dangerous signs in the wilderness.

Chu Yang wanted to warn the leader, but the man was already swimming at the front of the formation, far out of range.

Only after reaching land did Chu Yang manage to voice his concerns—but the leader, seeing how young he was, didn't take them seriously.

Chu Yang sighed inwardly. Since he couldn't convince him, he could only stay extra alert himself.

The leader silently slipped into one of the tents…

The other squad members spread out, waiting for the signal to strike and silently eliminate the resting Uchiha.

But instead of a signal—

They heard a piercing scream.

Damn it!

At the same moment, flames flared up in every direction. The entire camp lit up, silhouettes swarming everywhere.

Uchiha ninja—everywhere!

The next instant—

Chu Yang saw their leader dragged out of the tent like a dead dog by Uchiha shinobi.

They'd walked straight into a trap.

"Break through!" someone shouted in panic.

Several Senju immediately fled in different directions.

"Idiots!" Chu Yang cursed angrily. "Splitting up now is suicide! They've been waiting for us to fall into their trap!"

As expected, those who tried to break out alone were instantly cut down by enemies lying in wait.

The remaining Senju quickly realized the situation and regrouped around Chu Yang.

"Attack!" the Uchiha commander barked, clearly unwilling to give them a moment to breathe.

A brutal melee erupted.

After a few exchanges, Chu Yang realized something was very wrong—their opponents were far too strong to be a mere logistics unit.

This "supply force" had been bait from the very beginning.

"We'll make the Senju pay!"

The enemy had come fully prepared. In both strength and numbers, Chu Yang's side was rapidly being overwhelmed.

But—

The Uchiha had miscalculated one thing.

After returning from the Soul Palace, Chu Yang's talent and power had increased threefold.

His mastery of Wood Release and his chakra reserves were now just barely sufficient to unleash a secret-level Wood Release technique.

As the Senju began to falter, Chu Yang stepped forward, hands flying through seals.

The ground trembled.

Countless massive trees burst forth from the earth, forming a vast forest in an instant, swallowing the Uchiha ninja whole.

[Wood Release · Advent of the Tree World]

This was the only secret-level technique Chu Yang could use.

Even so, it was an incomplete version. Even if it drained every last drop of his chakra, it would only reach a fraction of the original technique's power.

It was closer to Yamato's downgraded Advent of a World of Trees.

Its strength fell somewhere between A-rank and S-rank.

But even that was more than enough.

Under Chu Yang's control, the forest transformed into a man-eating demon, strangling and binding the Uchiha ninja without mercy.

They were swallowed by the sea of trees, unable to find any foothold—every place they stepped became a battlefield.

Many among the Uchiha were experts in Fire Release, and they refused to sit still. Flames erupted as they tried to burn the forest down.

They had clearly never witnessed the true might of Wood Release.

The rate at which the fire destroyed the trees couldn't even come close to the forest's regeneration speed.

No matter how they struggled, all they could see was an endless ocean of trees—utter despair.

And this was only an incompleteAdvent of the Tree World.

With the enemy completely suppressed, the Senju launched a counterattack.

With support from their comrades, most of the Uchiha were slain within the forest. In the blink of an eye, Chu Yang had single-handedly reversed the battlefield.

This was the true terror of Wood Release on the battlefield—

A power capable of deciding the outcome of an entire skirmish.

After the forest finally receded, the few remaining enemies fled under Chu Yang's overwhelming presence. Completely exhausted, Chu Yang didn't pursue them.

The surviving Senju gathered around him, gratitude clear in their eyes.

"Yang! We'd all be dead if it weren't for you!"

"I can't believe you know Clan Head Hashirama's Wood Release!"

"I heard the clan head took in young disciples and taught them his unique Wood Release—are you one of them?"

They stared at Chu Yang in shock.
