Mira's voice buzzed in his earpiece. "They've activated the first phase. The power grid is going offline in sectors three, six, and nine. Emergency response is being blocked. You need to move—now."
Kuroda leapt from rooftop to rooftop, rain-soaked and silent. His team coordinated remotely, hacking traffic signals, rerouting emergency units, and providing intel. The city itself became a battlefield, each district a different challenge.
At a compromised power substation, Kuroda faced elite Syndicate operatives. He moved like a shadow, taking out attackers with precision strikes, using walls, pipes, and machinery to his advantage. Sparks flew, metal crunched, and the air smelled of smoke and ozone.

Everywhere Kuroda went, Syndicate traps awaited. Explosives rigged to buildings, sniper teams on rooftops, drones patrolling the skies. Yet, he adapted instantly, turning the environment into his weapon.
In a narrow alley, he fought three operatives at once, rolling behind crates, striking with martial precision, and using improvised weapons to incapacitate them silently. The city was chaos, but in the storm, Kuroda thrived.
A Glimpse of Lucien
Through surveillance feeds hacked by Mira, Kuroda caught sight of Lucien—calm, composed, orchestrating the chaos from a hidden command center. Lucien's presence was everywhere, yet untouchable.
"They're forcing me into a game," Kuroda muttered. "But the board is mine now."
He devised a plan: draw Lucien out, neutralize key Syndicate cells, and stop the chaos before the city became uninhabitable.
