Chapter 131 - Chapter 131: The Fall of Wall Sheena

"Titans! Titans! There are Titans!!" The Titan head that suddenly appeared atop Wall Sheena plunged the entire Orvud District into panic.

Humans living within Wall Sheena might go their entire lives without ever seeing a Titan. The only way they knew of Titans was through descriptions in newspapers.

But no matter how words described them, nothing compared to the crushing pressure and terror of a Titan appearing before their very eyes.

Humanity had already lost count of how many times they had recalled the horror of being ruled by Titans.

"Hurry! Everyone move! Get away from the wall!" Several patrolling Garrison soldiers and Military Police were terrified themselves, but their duty as soldiers forced them to muster their courage and evacuate the civilians.

Hiss!! The Colossal Titan lowered its enormous head, its expression unreadable, and in the next instant—

The Colossal Titan lifted its right leg back, then, carrying an unmatched momentum, kicked toward the wall of Orvud District.

Boom!! The seemingly indestructible wall—the wall that had sheltered humanity for a hundred years—was broken once again.

"Run!"

"Help!"

"God!"

"Where are the soldiers?!"

...

Yago fastened his scabbard, his expression grave, and earnestly instructed Annie beside him:

"We don't know what Zeke and the others are after, but Annie, remember—do not expose yourself. Let them keep believing that the Female Titan's power is on me. This time it wasn't my own decision. Annie, you must understand me."

Annie looked at Yago's face and obediently nodded.

"I understand, Yago. I won't expose myself. You be careful too. The Warrior Captain's target might be Eren, but if they can, they won't let you go either."

"Don't worry. I am Yago. The power of the Fate Titan guides me."

Annie and Yago embraced briefly, then split up. Because of Annie's special status, she could not be allowed to fight on the front lines.

Yago stepped out of the camp. Hundreds of soldiers were already fully prepared. More than a hundred of them wore the Wings of Freedom, their faces calm and their eyes sharp.

Most of the remaining soldiers were from the Garrison and the Military Police, but compared to the Survey Corps, the soldiers of the other two corps showed varying degrees of fear in their eyes.

"Soldiers! Fight bravely! Dedicate your hearts to humanity!"

"Dedicate your hearts!! "

Standing to the side, Yago silently clenched his right fist and placed it over his left chest, solemnly saying,

"Dedicate your hearts!"

"Are you kidding me?! What are you soldiers doing?! The Titans are about to break into the wall, and you actually sealed it off? Are you trying to get us killed?!" A man dressed like a merchant grabbed a Military Police soldier by the collar and shouted.

The Military Police soldier looked very young, probably only enlisted for a year or two.

"I—I'm very sorry, but th-this is an order from above. We must prevent an Armored Titan assault. If Wall Sheena is breached, humanity will really be finished."

"Bastards! Then what about us?! Are we supposed to just watch the Titans eat us all?! Damn government! Even that useless king was better!" The merchant raged.

A massive amount of steam suddenly burst from the Colossal Titan's body. Almost instantly, the towering, colossal form vanished. This was one of the Colossal Titan's most miraculous traits—such an enormous body, yet able to evaporate at astonishing speed.

"Huff… huff…" Bertholdt, his face smeared with muscle fibers, lay on the wall, gasping for air.

Zeke stared down from above. Countless panicked civilians below looked as small as ants, frantically flooding toward the inner gate of Wall Sheena.

In the distance, many figures could also be seen swinging between buildings, rushing this way.

Zeke pulled out a small knife and muttered,

"Let's verify where the Founding Titan really is."

The sharp blade cut into his palm. Surging yellow lightning wrapped around Zeke, and an ape-like Titan appeared out of thin air.

Taking a deep breath, the Beast Titan's ferocious face let out a terrifying roar.

"Roar!!!"

As the Beast Titan roared, a vast golden light suddenly flared beneath the wall.

Slap! A hand braced itself against the breach torn open by the Colossal Titan. A Titan with a mouth curled high into an eerie grin poked its head out.

...

"What the hell is going on?! Why did Titans appear? This is such bad luck! What if we get eaten?!"

Ever since joining the main force of the Military Police, Hitch had felt her life was constantly thrilling—first receiving orders to overthrow the royal government, then a massive purge of the nobility.

Watching those once high-and-mighty nobles collapse one by one on the ground felt unreal to Hitch. And now it was even more maddening—Titans had actually appeared outside Wall Sheena?!

Hitch thought maybe she should just desert.

"Hitch, it's okay. I'll protect you." Marlo, beside her, patted his chest.

"You? Your scores back in the Training Corps were way worse than mine." Hitch eyed Marlo skeptically.

"Don't worry. We're the Military Police—elite soldiers selected from the Training Corps!" Marlo was extremely confident.

But that confidence vanished completely when faced with real Titans.

The overwhelming pressure of a massive body over ten meters tall was nothing like those wooden practice boards back in the Training Corps.

For most of the Military Police and Garrison soldiers present, this was their first time seeing Titans.

Even the commanding officer at the front was dumbfounded.

"Ah!!" The screams of comrades snapped the Military Police back to their senses. Several Military Police soldiers were grabbed by Titans and mercilessly torn apart.

"All units, begin combat!!"

What followed was a bloody battle.

...

Yago, cloaked, darted rapidly between buildings. The Vertical Maneuvering Equipment continuously propelled his body through sharp turns and swift movements.

Leaping high onto the top of a tower, Yago crouched down and surveyed the battlefield, searching for the Marleyan warriors.

"The Military Police and the Garrison can't hold much longer." At a glance toward the main battlefield at the breach, Yago could tell they were on the verge of collapse—flowers raised in a greenhouse could not withstand real devastation.

"The Survey Corps is already heading to support." Yago silently recited, "Reiner, Bertholdt, Pieck, and Zeke—where are you hiding?"

"Forget it. First, I need to find a way to block the breach. These Titans—were they summoned by Zeke?" Yago frowned.

This wasn't the Shiganshina District, and there were no massive boulders for Yago to plug the breach with. But his gaze quickly shifted to several artificial rock formations with fountains not far from the opening.

"Eren isn't here. Otherwise, sealing a gate like this should be done by someone experienced." Yago joked to himself, then sped toward the breach.
