This is the story of an ordinary girl named Jemma. Jemma though, has never for a day believed she was ordinary. No, Jemma knows she's royalty. Unfortunately, her claim to the throne has grown distant through the generations, so she has to live her life as a commoner.
Although she can't change her destiny of being born a blue blood with commoner status, both her parents are of the royal bloodline - a decree passed down from their first ancestor to keep the royal line pure. In her Kingdom, to avoid illegitimate sons from inheriting the throne, only the sons born of daughters can inherit the throne.
Bound by a covenant with their ancestor to keep their line pure, the blue bloods in Soma Kingdom are caught in a battle for the throne. Employing all twisted schemes and magic in order to climb the ranks and hierarchy to reach the throne. When King Sima I first gave this decree, he never thought his descendants would grow so large in number that his Kingdom would be filled up with his descendants and be led into chaos. So much so that his holy royal blood would be reduced to nothing - flowing in the veins of the rich, to the very peasants they spat on.
His beloved children were killing each other for the very land he once gifted them in hopes they could live in peace and prosperity. Lands he thought would allow his children to stand above all other, were now watered with the same blood that once flowed through him. The once common people that King Sima I once ruled over got tired of the battles for the throne, and had asked their benevolent king, King Sima VII for land to start their own kingdom. He allowed it, and gave them a piece of his marshland that found itself flooded every year and allowed no room for agriculture. They were screwed! But alas, they had had enough, so they moved to the marshland and built their own little kingdom, leaving the blue bloods alone in their kingdom to fend for themselves.
