Chapter 8 - Magic Evaluation

Time flies. In the blink of an eye, I'm already nine and a half years old. Although I endure "inhuman torture" every day, it hasn't affected my normal development at all. I'm 1.52 meters tall and weigh 40 kg, with light blue hair reaching my shoulders. Although my facial features aren't particularly handsome, I look gentle and cute (that's what the villagers, classmates, and teachers say—hehe). Dad always says that if you look at my facial features separately, none are good, but together they're not bad. Every time he says this, Mom always pouts and retorts, "It's not like you passed on good genes," shutting Dad up. Speaking of which, Mom is a great beauty. Even though she's over thirty, there's no trace of time on her face.

Over the past few years, although I've resented the old devil's teaching, I have to admit that I've learned a lot of magic from him. The speed of my ability improvement has surprised Mom and Dad greatly.

Now, in the burlap sack formation, I can almost completely avoid all the sacks' attacks. When I unleash instant teleportation, only a faint shadow can be seen in the formation—even Teacher Xiu can't catch my teleportation path. Single-line attack magic can't hit me at all. Now, I've turned the burlap sack formation into a game. I often make faces at Teacher Xiu while practicing, making him so angry that he almost used advanced magic (Teacher Xiu can only use level 7 magic, and it's spatial magic) to attack me. However, because his spatial magic is too powerful and he's afraid of destroying the entire field, he didn't. To my anger, he even sent the Light Tiger into the formation to chase me. But my control over short-distance instant teleportation is already flawless—even Teacher Xiu can't catch me.

The speed of my magic power and spiritual power improvement is amazing. Now I can maintain both the Light Prism Shield and instant teleportation for more than three hours.

In these more than two years, I've learned the following magics (only the more distinctive and my favorite ones are listed below):

Primary Light-type Defensive Magic:

Light Shield: An all-around light-type defensive magic. (I no longer use this because of the more useful Light Prism Shield.)Light Prism: A light-type reflective magic. Thanks to the improvement of my spiritual power, I can now reflect non-all-around attacks from any angle.Light Prism Shield: My original combined light-type magic. Its small-area defense is already close to the level of advanced magic. Even someone as serious as Teacher Xiu praised this magic highly—however, he can't use it. Haha~Holy Protection: Can defend against poison gas invasion, low-level dark spiritual magic (a type of dark magic that can confuse or drive enemies crazy), etc. Since it can isolate harmful gases (like a gas mask??), I often use it when Teacher Xiu farts. The effect is quite good—hehe. (Teacher Xiu doesn't know this; otherwise...)

Primary Light-type Attack Magic:

Light Arrow: The only attack magic among all primary and intermediate light-type magics. Gathers light elements into an arrow shape for attack. Not very powerful.

Primary Light-type Healing Magic:

Healing Spell: A low-level healing magic. Has a good therapeutic effect on general minor injuries, and can also cure colds and fevers. I regret learning this magic—since I mastered it, Mom always takes me to treat people in the village. (And no pay—sigh)Divine Healing: Used to treat various confused states.

Primary Spatial Magic:

Short-distance Instant Teleportation: I'm very good at this. No single-directional magic can hit me within 500 meters.Long-distance Instant Teleportation: I've learned the theory, but never used it. What if I get teleported to the Demon Race? I'd be in big trouble. (The Demon Race and Orcs hate humans deeply.)Small Dimensional Slash: An attack magic in spatial magic. It's the most powerful attack magic I have—can tear the surrounding space and devour everything (including magic) within the effective range. Teacher Xiu has now forbidden me from using it because I once devoured his beloved water cup. I can now cast a Dimensional Slash about 1 meter long. Devouring primary magic is no problem, but Teacher Xiu said this magic has a strong backlash. If my magic power can't withstand it, I might devour myself (of course, the one I can cast now definitely can't do that—only the Great Dimensional Slash can). He told me not to use it casually.

These are all I can do now. Teacher Xiu's evaluation of me is: top-tier escape skills, second-tier defense, third-tier healing magic, and bottom-tier attack. (In fact, deep down, Teacher Xiu is very satisfied with me—especially my talent in defensive and movement magic. My control over instant teleportation is already better than his as a Grand Mage, and I can even create original defensive magic. Overall, if we don't consider attack magic, my strength is already close to that of an Advanced Mage.) Sigh, it's not my fault. Who let short-distance instant teleportation suit me so well? Haha, if I can't beat them, I can run—hehe.

I'll graduate from here in less than half a year. Haha, I can finally escape the devil's clutches. (Although the burlap sack formation can't torture me anymore, Teacher Xiu's all-around intermediate magic attacks still often leave me exhausted.) Thinking about my bright future—hehe.

What makes me even happier is that when I arrived at the classroom this morning, Teacher Xiu said he has to go to the capital again. He'll be gone for a long time but will be back before my graduation exam, telling me to meditate at school and enhance my magic power. (Without him, there's no way to conduct the hellish training.) I'm so happy I could jump for joy.

During this period of time, I can sleep every day again.

(In the next chapter, the protagonist will encounter his first challenge in life—a... Please stay tuned, hehe. Here, I also want to thank all the book friends for their support. Please feel free to give valuable opinions.)
