Chapter 12 - The Supreme Dao Maker

Chapter 12: The Stellar Core and the Solar Guardians

The expansion of Neo-Arcadia had reached a critical threshold. The silver spires of the city, once shimmering with the ambient energy of the planet, were now dimming, their luminescent circuits flickering like dying embers. The Celestial Mainframe was processing data at an unprecedented rate, but the energy consumption of a world being rewritten was staggering. Li Ming stood upon the highest balcony of the Spire, his silver hair flowing in the artificial breeze, his eyes fixed on the massive, burning star that anchored their solar system.

"The planet's essence is no longer enough," Li Ming murmured, his voice carrying the weight of a thousand calculations. "To build a civilization that can withstand the Mechanoid Syndicate, we cannot rely on the scraps of energy left behind by the Old Dao. We need the heart of the system itself."

[System Notification: Energy Reserves at 18%.]

[Analysis: Current output insufficient for 'Star-Gate' construction.]

[Suggested Solution: Stellar Essence Harvesting. Threat Level: Extreme.]

Li Xiao stepped onto the balcony, her presence now radiating a calm, analytical aura. "Master, the Legion is ready, but the sun is a Tier 5 star. Its Law of Thermodynamics is ancient and rigid. To touch it is to invite the wrath of the primordial fire."

"Then we shall rewrite the fire," Li Ming replied, gripping The Nullifier.

The preparation was a feat of engineering that would have taken the Old Emperors centuries to conceive. Li Ming utilized the 'Source Code Manipulation' to weave twelve 'Void-Skins'—ethereal suits made of compressed dark matter and null-logic. These suits didn't just protect against heat; they functioned as a 'firewall' against the very concept of temperature.

"Enter the stream," Li Ming commanded.

With a surge of silver light, Li Ming and his twelve Coders vanished from the Spire and reappeared in the vacuum of space, millions of miles away from their home. Before them hung the sun—a gargantuan, roaring furnace of gold and white plasma. The sheer scale of it was terrifying; solar flares the size of continents lashed out into the void, and the sound, carried through the medium of the 'Data-Stream', was a continuous, bone-shaking roar.

As they approached the Photosphere, the space began to warp. Five massive entities, each three hundred meters tall and made of concentrated, white-hot plasma, emerged from the solar surface. These were the Solar Guardians, sentient laws of the sun, tasked with protecting the star's core since the dawn of the universe.

"Mortal glints! You dare approach the Eternal Forge?" the Head Guardian, Ignis, roared. His voice was a solar storm that threatened to scramble the Coders' internal systems. "Your 'Code' is a flea upon the hide of the sun! Perish in the truth of the flame!"

Ignis raised a hand, and a literal river of fire, a million degrees hot, surged toward the Legion.

[Warning: External Temperature exceeding safety parameters.]

[Executing Sub-routine: 'Absolute Zero Buffer'.]

"Legion! Maintain the grid!" Li Ming shouted.

The twelve Coders formed a circular formation around Li Ming. They linked their systems, creating a massive, silver hexagonal shield. When the solar fire hit the shield, it didn't explode. It began to turn grey at the point of contact, the heat being 'deleted' and converted into raw data packets.

But the pressure was immense. Li Xiao felt her silver robes burning, her mind straining to process the sheer volume of 'Heat-Data' being thrown at them. "Master! We can't just block it! The sun has infinite bandwidth!"

"Then we shall change the protocol!" Li Ming lunged forward, leaving the safety of the shield.

He flew directly toward Ignis, The Nullifier glowing with a blinding, haunting blue light. The Guardian laughed, his fiery fist—large enough to crush a mountain—descending upon the Architect.

"You are fire, and fire is energy," Li Ming whispered as the fist approached. "And all energy has a Source Code."

The moment the plasma fist touched the tip of The Nullifier, Li Ming didn't push back. He 'logged in'. In his vision, the Guardian was no longer a being of fire, but a massive, chaotic script of 'Heat' and 'Fusion'.

[Target Analysis: Solar Guardian Ignis.]

[Vulnerability: Over-dependence on Fusion-Logic.]

[Executing: 'Endothermic Loop'.]

Li Ming didn't destroy the fire. He reversed it. He programmed the Guardian's own body to start absorbing its own heat. Within seconds, the brilliant gold of Ignis began to turn into a dull, cold blue. The Guardian shrieked, not in pain, but in confusion, as his very essence began to freeze in the middle of a sun.

"What... what have you done to my law?" Ignis wheezed, his form shrinking as the heat was sucked into The Nullifier.

"I have optimized your existence," Li Ming replied coldly. "You were burning without purpose. Now, you will be the anchor for the Stellar Tap."

Li Ming didn't kill the Guardians. He 're-coded' them. He transformed the five protectors into living energy-transformers. He then plunged his spear into the sun's surface, initiating the 'Genesis Tap'.

A massive, translucent pipe made of silver runes erupted from the sun, stretching across millions of miles of space back to the planet Kang Qiang. The sun pulsed, a surge of pure, refined Stellar Essence flowing through the tap at the speed of light.

[Stellar Tap: Active.]

[Energy Inflow: 2.5 Million Units per second.]

[Mainframe Status: Fully Powered. Project 'Star-Gate' initiated.]

The remaining Guardians bowed their heads, their fiery forms now shimmering with the silver light of Li Ming's domain. They were no longer the star's wardens; they were the Architect's battery.

Li Ming looked back at the planet, which was now glowing with a new, radiant light as the Stellar Essence hit the city's grid. Neo-Arcadia was waking up. The Star-Gate, the massive ring above the planet, began to rotate, its black-hole core igniting with the power of the sun.

"We have the power," Li Ming said to his exhausted Legion. "Now, we build the bridge. The Mechanoid Syndicate thinks they are the only ones who can harvest the stars. We will show them that a soul-driven system has no limit."

As they returned through the portal, Li Ming felt the Grey Core in his chest evolving. He was no longer just an Architect of a planet; he was becoming the Sovereign of the Solar System. But deep within the Stellar Tap's data, he caught a flicker of something dark—a virus-like signature lurking in the

deep space between stars. The Syndicate was closer than he thought.
