Chapter 175 - Chapter 175 Recognizing a Thief as Father

Chapter 175 Recognizing a Thief as Father

Bud wiped his face, staring at the blood-soaked hands. After a couple of seconds of stunned silence, his consciousness finally returned, and his expression changed.

  "Where's the assassin?"

  Esdeath asked. "He's gone."

Bud looked around, his face turning extremely grim.

To deal with that assassin, they had basically deployed all the forces they could muster.

They had even temporarily set aside the rebels.

In the end, they still failed!

"Just now, what kind of move was that?"

  "I don't know."

  Esdeath's eyes gleamed with excitement.

There was even a new move!

  This was truly... interesting!

Just now, she had genuinely felt danger.

This feeling of having her life threatened was something she hadn't experienced since she possessed the Demon Essence. While crushing opponents was fun, fighting in   danger

and defeating sufficiently powerful enemies was what excited her the most.

At this moment, she had a strong thought in her mind: she must conquer that assassin!

This was the most interesting prey she had ever encountered in her life.   Suddenly, a horn sounded from afar.   Everyone turned to look.

 "Your Majesty!"

Bud's expression changed drastically, and he rushed towards the highest palace in the imperial palace.

"Going to find His Majesty? Did he see through our plan?"

Esdeath followed with an intrigued expression.

 ...

  Outside the highest palace.

The young emperor, scepter in hand, was protected by the royal guards.

One of the guards held a horn.   Everyone looked tense.

Aoki ignored the guards, looking at the young emperor.

  "This is truly effortless!"

After using "Soul Impact" to block Esdeath and the others, he immediately came to find the young emperor, successfully stopping them before they entered the palace.

He had initially considered taking advantage of the situation to eliminate Esdeath, but then realized that although she was unconscious, her body remained tense.

He had no doubt that if he attacked, even without regaining consciousness, Esdeath's body would instinctively retaliate.

The young emperor showed no fear, glaring angrily at Aoki: "Did you kill the minister?"

  "That's right!"

Aoki flashed, appearing before the young emperor: "Actually, you should thank me."

The young emperor absolutely deserved to die.

He bore an undeniable responsibility for the empire's current state.

The title of a tyrant, even a foolish one, was inescapable.

However, he was also quite pathetic.

  "Get out of the way!"

  "Don't come near His Majesty!

  " "Die, assassin!"

  The guards charged towards Aoki.

With a flash of whips, they were all sent flying.

The young emperor gripped his scepter and took a step back.

"You, what do you mean?" "

Aoki said, "Your father was actually poisoned to death by Ernest, and your mother was forced to take poison by Ernest to create the illusion of a double suicide."

The young emperor was stunned, his face changing drastically: "No! Impossible!"

"The officials you ordered killed in the past, their accusations against Ernest were basically true. This country has been ruined by Ernest, on the verge of destruction."

Aoki continued, "I helped you kill your greatest enemy, shouldn't you thank me?"

  "Impossible! You're talking nonsense!"

The young emperor shook his head violently, his face filled with panic.

Aoki said calmly, "Believe it or not, it's up to you. I just want you to die knowing the truth."

This was hardly a kind gesture; it could even be considered a punishment.

Sometimes, dying in ignorance is a blessing; knowing too much only brings more trouble.

The young emperor slumped to the ground, utterly dejected.

"Have I been recognizing a thief as my father all these years?"

He knew he was about to die, and the assassin had no reason to deceive him.

In other words, those things were probably true.

This nearly drove him to the brink of collapse.

The only consolation was that the minister… Ernest was dead.

"Go on your way!" Aoki raised his hand.

"Very well, I have no face to continue living in this world."

The young emperor peacefully closed his eyes, and the next moment, his consciousness completely disappeared into darkness.

  "Quite composed."

Aoki lifted the young emperor, looked around, and his figure vanished abruptly.

  A moment later.

  Bud and Esdeath arrived.

Seeing the guards scattered on the ground, Bud's heart sank to the bottom. He picked up one of them and shook him awake.

"Where is His Majesty? Where did His Majesty go?"

The guard managed to say, "An assassin suddenly appeared, intending to commit a heinous act. We tried to stop him, but we were no match for him and were knocked unconscious. We didn't see His Majesty go."

Bud released his grip, letting the soldier slide down, his towering body swaying.

His Majesty faced the assassin alone.

  The outcome was self-evident.

Their family had guarded the emperor for over a thousand years, and this was the first time such a thing had happened.

The guard scrambled to his feet and knelt on the ground: "Please punish us, General!"

Taking a deep breath, Bud managed to calm himself.

  Punishing these soldiers was pointless.

"General Esdeath, what do you think we should do now?" He turned to look at the side.

With the minister and His Majesty dead one after another, the empire was suddenly leaderless.

And the rebels were taking advantage of the situation.

He could no longer disregard the ancestral precept of "not participating in politics."

Although the minister was dead, Esdeath's formidable power remained unchanged. Whatever he wanted to do, he had to reach an agreement with Esdeath first.

  "You can decide for yourselves."

Esdeath glanced around and turned to leave.

Bud was taken aback: "General Esdeath, where are you going?"

"I have my own matters to attend to!"

  Esdeath left without looking back.

Now she had something more interesting.

  ...

The cave where the Supreme Throne was stored.

Aoki and the young emperor suddenly appeared.

"I'm afraid no one would expect that I'm still in the palace."

He casually tossed the young emperor to the ground and retrieved a large amount of equipment from the alternate dimension.

With Ernest dead and the young emperor captured, no one else in the world knew about this place.

There was no need to worry about being disturbed for the time being.

Aoki picked up a scalpel, glanced down at the young emperor, and then turned to look at the huge humanoid weapon.

"I wonder how the Supreme Throne can distinguish royal bloodlines?"

The Supreme Throne was actually a super-large humanoid mecha.

But it was definitely not just a technological product.

Over thousands of years of inheritance, any characteristics should have been weakened to the limit.

Yet the Supreme Throne could still accurately identify royal bloodlines.

This was definitely a manifestation of extraordinary power.

The best way to figure out the secret was to have the young emperor activate the Supreme Throne and see the specific changes.

However, this method was simply impossible to implement.

Once the young emperor seized the throne, how could he possibly be subject to his control?
