Chapter 60 - Ep 60

After dinner, the night slowly claimed the mountain. Mo Shan excused himself first, his figure disappearing into the shadows as he returned to his own cave, leaving behind a quiet that felt intimate rather than lonely.

Feng Lihan walked beside Lin Yue toward his cave, their steps unhurried. The moon hung high above, silver light spilling across the stone path. When they entered, the familiar warmth welcomed them—soft furs, glowing crystals, and the lingering scent of Feng Lihan's presence. It felt like home in the truest sense of the word.

Lin Yue had just set aside his cloak when Feng Lihan reached out and pulled him close.

The kiss began gently, lips brushing as if testing a fragile dream. Lin Yue's breath caught, then softened as he leaned in, responding instinctively. His hands found Feng Lihan's chest, feeling the steady heartbeat beneath, strong and reassuring.

"I love you," Feng Lihan whispered between kisses, his voice low, sincere, and unguarded.

Lin Yue smiled, warmth blooming in his chest. He kissed Feng Lihan back, slower this time, lingering.

"I love you too."

Feng Lihan froze.

He pulled back just enough to look at Lin Yue, eyes glowing faintly in the lamplight. "Say it again," he said, half serious, half hopeful, as though he needed to hear it one more time to believe it was real.

Lin Yue hesitated, cheeks flushing. His gaze dropped briefly before he looked back up, courage gathering in his eyes.

"Hubby."

The word landed like a spark.

Feng Lihan inhaled sharply, something raw and unrestrained flashing across his face. He cupped Lin Yue's cheeks, thumbs brushing over the warmth there, as if grounding himself. His wings stirred faintly behind him, reacting to emotions he no longer bothered to hide.

In the next moment, he kissed Lin Yue deeply.

This time there was no hesitation. The kiss was full of longing and devotion, as if Feng Lihan was pouring every unspoken promise into it. Lin Yue melted into his arms, fingers clutching his clothes, heart pounding wildly.

They moved together without thinking, steps tangled, laughter and soft breaths blending as they reached the bed. Feng Lihan eased Lin Yue down gently, never breaking eye contact, as though asking permission with every movement.

Lin Yue reached up, pulling him closer.

The world outside the cave disappeared. There was only warmth, shared breath, and the quiet intensity of being chosen—again and again. Every touch was careful, reverent, filled with affection rather than haste. Feng Lihan treated Lin Yue as if he were something precious, something irreplaceable.

He rested his forehead against Lin Yue's, their noses brushing.

"You are my heart," he murmured. "My home."

Lin Yue's eyes shimmered. He lifted his hand, tracing the familiar line of Feng Lihan's jaw.

"Then don't let go," he whispered. "I won't."

Feng Lihan smiled softly, a rare, unguarded expression meant only for Lin Yue. He kissed him once more—slow, deep, unhurried—until words were no longer necessary.

The crystal lamps dimmed, casting the cave in a soft glow as the night wrapped around them like a blessing. Outside, the wind sang quietly across the cliffs, but inside, everything was still.

Two hearts beat in the same rhythm, bound by trust, love, and the promise of always.

And in that quiet, sacred space, they belonged to each other completely.
