Mere seconds after those wounds appeared, they began to heal at a terrifying speed.

Shirou sighed with a hint of frustration. While he now possessed infinite magical energy, projecting an EX-rank Noble Phantasm required a complete understanding of its structure. Possessing endless mana without a way to unleash it freely was a predicament Shirou was desperate to rectify.
At that moment, his incantation reached its conclusion.

As the final words were spoken, the Black Dragon Nidhogg was completely pulled into Shirou's Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works. Within this domain, no matter how powerful the "Heretic God," Shirou felt no fear.
Liliana, who had also been pulled into the Reality Marble, stood amidst the wasteland of swords, staring in absolute shock at the confrontation between the man and the dragon in the sky. She had initially thought this man named Orihara Shirou was just a powerful "magus" from somewhere unknown. Now she saw that he was no mere magus. This power to contend with a Heretic God made him a living monster, a being with god-like strength. The scene unfolding in the sky was like an epic poem brought to life. Light could not reach the earth, and the clouds were scattered by a mere flick of the dragon's massive wings.
"You ant! Do you think pulling us into a bounded field can restrain me?"
Hearing the dragon's voice, Shirou, standing suspended in mid-air at the dragon's level, replied:
"We'll see about that once we try!"
As he spoke, Shirou raised his right hand and opened his palm. Thousands of swords from the wasteland answered his call, rushing upward. The pale blue magical light flickered as they densely packed together to form a colossal azure greatsword.
Shirou raised the giant blade—a mass of A-rank Noble Phantasms—and slashed down violently toward Nidhogg!
Simultaneously, the Black Dragon unfurled its wings, its body pulsing with blood like flowing lava, and let out a roar from its gaping maw.
ROAR—!!!
A massive torrent of searing flame erupted from its mouth, surging toward Shirou!
"It's about as hot as bathwater..."
With the Third Cosmos Particle Body, Shirou's constitution was incredibly resilient. An attack of this level from Nidhogg couldn't harm him. However, "not being hurt" wasn't enough. Without a sufficiently powerful finishing move, he would be stuck in a stalemate where neither side could decisively defeat the other.
If he could project EX-rank Noble Phantasms or evolve Unlimited Blade Works further, things might change.
As Shirou swung the azure greatsword, a massive gash was torn into Nidhogg's gargantuan body.
"It seems your scales can't protect you after all," Shirou mocked. He continued to swing the greatsword, repeatedly slicing through layers of scales and tearing into the dragon's flesh.
"Now... die here! Hah!"
Each of Shirou's strikes was brutal and efficient, lacking elegance but overflowing with the beauty of raw violence. To his ears, the dragon's pained shrieks sounded like a symphony. Draconic blood splashed onto him; had it been his body before obtaining the Star Particles, he would have been melted instantly by the boiling liquid.
"Annoying ant! I shall crush you to dust!"
The powerful dragon beat its mighty black wings. A single flap created a hurricane that uprooted the swords in the wasteland. Liliana, unable to withstand the gale, quickly chanted a spell.
"O wings of Artemis, traverse the night, grant me the privilege of flight in the heavens!"
Flight: A magecraft more powerful than "Leaping," unique to witches. it allows the caster to fly and abruptly halt a fall in defiance of physics. Even with this ability, Liliana struggled against the storm, her small frame swaying violently in the wind.
Meanwhile, Shirou streaked across the dragon's spine. He swung the azure blade, trailing blue phantoms, and sliced through a black wing, piercing straight through the membrane.
ROAR—!!!
Heavily wounded, the dragon let out a scream. Its body tilted in the sky and began to plunge toward the wasteland below. However, the moment Shirou looked down, he froze at the sight.
"That is...!?"
The dragon that had just been severely injured by Shirou's attacks now showed no trace of damage. The wounds sliced by the azure sword had healed perfectly, as if it had never been touched. Furthermore, the surface of its massive body began to glow with a lava-like red. The once-black scales were turning a fiery crimson, as if scorched from within.
The current Nidhogg looked nothing like the venomous dragon of Norse myth; it had transformed into a literal lava dragon. The clouds in the sky turned a burning red, scorched by the heat radiating from its body.
Within the world of Unlimited Blade Works, the Nidhogg perched high in the sky now resembled a falling sun.
