Chapter 1 - Judgment of Shamash Roast Pork, Making Paimon Cry with Hunger

Eagle's Shore, Mondstadt.

On a nearby cliff, a handsome young man was roasting a wild boar over a simple rack—using a very strange gun.

From time to time, he sprinkled seasoning onto the meat. The rich aroma spread outward, thick and intoxicating.

The weapon in his hand was especially unusual. Its body was composed of white, black, and orange, and flames burst from its muzzle as if it were alive.

Seeing that the boar was nearly done, Aerin sliced off a piece with a small knife and popped it into his mouth. His eyes immediately lit up.

"At first, I was worried that using the Judgment of Shamash would burn the meat to a crisp," he said with a satisfied nod.

"I didn't expect the firepower control to be this perfect. It actually makes incredible roast meat."

"The seasoning from the system's lottery is top-tier as well. Not bad. Very not bad."

Aerin was a transmigrator.

The moment he arrived in the world of Teyvat and regained consciousness, a system awakened within him.

[Future Weaving System]

By projecting visions of the future, the system could collect Emotion Points generated by the people of Teyvat. These points could then be used for lottery draws.

The stronger the emotional fluctuations of those who witnessed the future, the more Emotion Points would be gathered.

The deeper Aerin's personal involvement in those future events, the greater the return.

However, there was one key restriction—

The future being woven had to maintain a certain degree of plausibility.

If people realized it was nothing more than baseless fabrication, their emotional response would inevitably weaken.

Fortunately, the Future Weaving System was fairly generous.

The moment it activated, it gifted Aerin a beginner bonus:

A ten-pull lottery guaranteed to produce a top-tier reward.

The system's prize pool was incredibly diverse.

From everyday items such as toothbrushes, cups, food, and seasonings…

To combat experience, energy amplification, and enhancements to physical constitution and stamina…

And even greater rewards—advanced technologies, mechas, and Divine Keys originating from other worlds, each carrying terrifying power.

There was even a chance to draw authorities and dominions that surpassed all of the above.

Whenever Aerin obtained an item imbued with immense power, he would automatically gain the ability to perfectly wield it.

And these adaptations stacked.

For example, Aerin currently possessed the power to perfectly control the Judgment of Shamash.

If he were to draw another Divine Key in the future, he would likewise gain perfect compatibility with it.

Each "perfect mastery" was calculated independently, but the resulting enhancements would all accumulate onto Aerin himself.

His luck could be considered quite good.

That first guaranteed ten-pull ensured he obtained items crucial for weaving future visions.

After all, future weaving required him to be personally involved.

Besides the Judgment of Shamash, Aerin also gained an ability that allowed him to summon monsters.

As for the final—and most valuable—reward:

[Stigmata Serum]

It could be administered orally or by injection.

A specialized agent used to create Valkyries, granting the recipient immense power with no side effects.

To prevent potential backlash, Valkyries created through the Stigmata Serum would fall under Aerin's control.

Creating Valkyries—those who knew, knew.

As for who it should be given to, Aerin was already very clear.

The so-called "control" was merely a precautionary mechanism imposed by the system—overly rigorous, if anything.

In Aerin's view, any woman who received a Stigmata Serum from him would have a rebellion chance of exactly zero.

"The remaining time… I should think carefully about how to weave future events."

He took another big bite of roast meat, his gaze drifting toward the distant city of Mondstadt.

At the very least, he needed to confirm which point in Teyvat's timeline he was currently in.

"Wow! That smells amazing!"

A familiar voice suddenly came from behind him.

That distinctive tone instantly snapped Aerin out of his thoughts.

He didn't even need to turn around to know who it was.

In all of Teyvat, only one being could make that kind of sound—

That gluttonous little fairy: Paimon.

And judging by the timing, this was Paimon not long after being fished out of the lake by the Traveler.

"You roasted an entire wild boar by yourself?!"

Paimon flew straight up in front of Aerin, her big eyes locked onto the meat.

Her gaze nearly turned viscous.

"Can you even finish all of that yourself?" she asked, drooling openly.

The next moment, a white-clad figure appeared beside her.

With a helpless sigh, the girl said, "Paimon… don't do that. Your drool…"

Aerin looked up just in time to see Lumine covering her face, utterly exasperated.

Paimon freezing on the spot at the sight of food—this was practically a trademark.

"Want to try some?" Aerin asked casually, smiling.

"Really?!" Paimon's eyes sparkled instantly.

Seeing Aerin nod and hand over a set of knife and fork, Paimon grabbed them with both hands, beaming.

"You're such a good person!"

"I'm Paimon," she said between bites, never pausing her chewing.

"And she's the Traveler. You can call her Lumine."

Seeing Paimon with her mouth full of pork grease, Lumine's stomach betrayed her with a soft gurgle.

"Ah… s-sorry…"

Letting her stomach growl in front of a stranger right after meeting him made Lumine's cheeks flush red.

"It's fine," Aerin said calmly.

"Travelers get hungry. That's completely normal."

As he spoke, he took out a brand-new set of cutlery from his pack and handed it to her.

"My name is Aerin."

"So—where are you two headed on your journey?"

Paimon swallowed the meat in her mouth and grinned.

"We're going to Mondstadt! Lumine is looking for her brother."
