The following morning, Rowan arrived at his office earlier than the previous day. He hadn't slept well which should be a norm but was slightly changing since he started spending time with a certain someone.
As he walked to his office, Rowan's face was set in that familiar cold mask he wore so well.
But when he pushed open the door, he stopped short and his eyes widened slightly.
Lucian was already there, standing by the window, his hands in his pockets, waiting.
He turned when Rowan entered, and a soft smile crossed his face.
"Good morning," Lucian said gently.
Rowan didn't return the greeting. He simply walked past Lucian toward his desk, his movements were sharp and every bit of the cold CEO he used to be before they had gotten close.
Lucian watched him settle into his chair, his lips pressed together as he wore an understanding but pained expression.
