Rowan woke slowly and the first thing he noticed in his body was that it was warm and comfortable in a way it hadn't been in a long time.
For a moment, he just lay there, eyes still closed, savoring the feeling of being completely relaxed. It was a feeling that couldn't really be described.
Compared with food? Like licking ice cream on a very hot day, after starving for hours?
A small smile stretched Rowan's mouth slightly and he shook his head slowly. That description hardly fit his current feeling. It was much more better than that.
Then awareness crept in.
Wasn't he with someone during the whole night?
Rowan's eyes opened, and he looked around his bedroom, searching for any sign of Lucian. But he was alone.
The memory of last night filtered back- Lucian appearing in his room somehow, holding him desperately, undressing him, lying with him through the night.
Except... that couldn't have been real.
