A few minutes later, Rowan had arrived back at the hotel where they were lodged. He had abandoned Lucian in the boutique but dropped a black card to the accountant, to cater for anything that Lucian would shop for, before leaving.
He walked through the lobby of the hotel with his usual composed stride, cold expression, even though inside, his mind was a chaotic mess.
And when he got into his room, he closed the door behind him, and began to pace the room.
He needed to think; he needed to figure out what to do concerning the shutting down of the manufacturing plant, how to contain the damage and prevent this from becoming a scandal that would destroy everything.
But the moment he tried to focus, his mind went somewhere else entirely.
"When did I become that loose?" The question chimed in his head. His mind was wandering back to what had happened earlier between him and Lucian.
