Their clothes, their posture, and the way they looked around with sharp, calculating eyes made Mary's brows lift slightly. These were not ordinary diners. They looked exactly like people who lived in the shadows, the kind who came and went through underground exchanges.
Mary sent a message to Ryan without moving her lips. "Hubby, I recognize this group. Should we avoid them?"
Ryan replied just as calmly, his expression unchanged. "Not yet. If we stand up first, they'll think we're guilty of something. Let's hear what they want before deciding how to handle it."
