Chapter 61 - CHAPTER 61

Fights? Money?

Now it wasn't just Uvogin Machi sat up straight as well.

Seeing Machi's eyes light up, Rimo patted his forehead. He had almost forgotten Machi had a different kind of obsession with money. In other words, the sum in the bank card in her hand likely exceeded what even Sky Arena could provide in several rounds of fighting.

"Then it's decided! The next destination is Sky Arena!" Uvogin exclaimed, practically vibrating with excitement.

"This place is perfect for Uvogin," Rimo said calmly.

"Yo, Nobunaga, how about you? Want to come along?" Uvogin elbowed Nobunaga.

Nobunaga raised an eyebrow. "I'm not going. I need to refine my swordsmanship. Places like this aren't for me."

"Cut! Cut people! Say the sword 'Zero Twenty!'" Uvogin sneered, flicking a bit of booger as if to punctuate his disdain.

Like Uvogin, Nobunaga had no interest in explaining further.

"What about the rest of you? Anyone else coming with me?" Uvogin asked, scanning the group.

"I don't care," Feitan said, dismissively. "A place full of fighting fans isn't my style."

"Same here," Franklin added.

"That leaves me…"

Uvogin's words were cut off as Machi suddenly spoke up.

"Machi? Aren't you staying with the deputy head?" Uvogin asked instinctively.

Even though they were emotional idiots, Machi knew she preferred being with Rimo. Everyone else looked at her in surprise; Pikenottan's expression twisted into a mix of horror and disbelief.

"Why are you all staring at me like that? Our deputy team leader is going to take care of the kids. I'm not interested in babysitting," Machi said, rolling her eyes at Rimo. It wasn't that she disliked Nion she just didn't want the responsibility.

Rimo could only shrug helplessly. Well… he did plan to start Nion's training soon.

Although Feitan, Nobunaga, and the others had no concrete destinations, they all had a general idea in mind.

Pikenottan glanced at Chrollo and gritted his teeth. "Captain, I plan to go with you to scout for new members."

Everyone's attention shifted to him.

Pikenottan twitched his hair nervously. "I want to see with my own eyes whether the new recruits are qualified. Since both the captain and I are [Trait] Nen users, observing them could help us develop our abilities. We can inspire each other."

As expected of Pikenottan solid reasoning! Rimo gave him an approving nod.

Pikenottan froze slightly, realizing the gesture meant that if he spoke nonsense, he'd be in trouble. Rimo simply put two interlaced fingers to his mouth, signaling that he was sensible.

Chrollo nodded thoughtfully. "Indeed. You and I are both [Trait] Nen users. There may be mutual confirmation and growth if we observe carefully."

As expected, Chrollo still maintained his calm, calculating approach.

"Since everyone has mostly decided their paths, I have a suggestion," Rimo said, clapping his hands to regain the group's attention.

"What do you think of Wright Nosla these past two days?"

"Um… useful, I guess?" Uvogin hesitated but eventually answered.

"Yeah, he seems… useful," Nobunaga finally agreed after thinking it through. The others nodded in concurrence.

If anyone wanted to criticize Wright Nosla, no one in the brigade would hesitate weak, mentally fragile, seemingly useless. But if you judged by utility, he was effective. At least he handled mundane tasks flawlessly.

Chrollo glanced at Rimo, his eyes flickering with understanding. He seemed to grasp Rimo's intention.

"Since you all find him useful, let me put it straight: I plan to develop Nothra into a subordinate organization for our Phantom Brigade, specializing in handling trivial matters for us. Thoughts?" Rimo revealed his plan, formed over the past two days.

Chrollo finally understood the "test" Rimo had mentioned yesterday. After careful consideration, he approved. With Nosla's network, if Rimo had any targets in the future, he could delegate tasks to gather intelligence saving tremendous effort.

"But Rimo," Chrollo asked after a pause, "how do we ensure Wright Nosla's loyalty? He's not like us."

"Why should we ensure it?" Rimo's smile turned slightly sinister. "If he's disloyal, we kill him. Do you honestly think Wright Nosla could surpass our strength? Or do you doubt yourselves?"

He scanned the brigade. "Relying on him? Impossible. He could never oppose us."

Everyone smirked in agreement.

Chrollo, initially skeptical, now understood. They didn't need to guarantee Nosla's loyalty they merely used him. Betrayal or incompetence meant death; otherwise, he remained a tool. Even if he perished, it meant nothing. Meteor Street members had always been arrogant enough to prioritize strength over sentiment.

"You're right, Rimo. We don't need to ensure Wright Nosla's loyalty. We only need to maintain our strength strength never betrays," Chrollo said, sharing Rimo's dark smile.

"Then, should we call Wright Nosla in now?" Rimo asked.

Chrollo shook his head. "No, we'll leave shortly. You'll stay here a while; I'll leave this to you."

"Chrollo! You just want to slack off!" Rimo gave him a playful glare.

"Hahaha! Rimo, who made you our deputy head?"
