Chapter 319 - 319: Limits of Immortality

The members of the Revolutionary Army exchanged glances, clearly struggling to process the information Marco had revealed.

Sabo spoke with a serious tone, "Then on Egghead Island, how did you manage to repel the Gorosei, the God's Knights, and that Imu clone?"

Marco paused briefly before answering, "I released the Conqueror's Haki left behind by Joy Boy eight hundred years ago. That burst of Conqueror's Haki forced the Gorosei and the God's Knights back to Mary Geoise, leaving only an Imu clone behind. The body Imu possessed could not handle her full power, so I defeated it."

Emporio Ivankov frowned in confusion. "You said you released Joy Boy's Conqueror's Haki and that's what forced them back. What exactly happened?"

Marco explained patiently, "When Conqueror's Haki reaches a certain level, it can be stored. What I released was Joy Boy's Conqueror's Haki from eight hundred years ago. The Gorosei and the God's Knights arrived on Egghead Island through a teleportation circle. When that Haki was unleashed, it disrupted the circle and forced them back to Mary Geoise."

"I see," Ivankov said, finally understanding.

Sabo continued, "Then what about the method you mentioned for breaking Immortality?"

Marco gave a faint smile. "It sounds simple, but it's difficult in practice. First, you must possess Conqueror's Haki. Without it, breaking their Immortality is impossible."

He continued, "Second, your Conqueror's Haki must reach a higher level. Beyond standard infusion, there is a more advanced application I call Precision Strike. It involves focusing all of your Conqueror's Haki into a single point and releasing it at once. That is what can break their Immortality."

He added calmly, "At the moment, only Kaido and I can use this technique. Even Big Mom has not mastered it."

Big Mom immediately scoffed, "Hmph. I'll master it soon enough, just wait."

Marco continued, "Also, what I said applies specifically to the Gorosei. I'm not certain whether the God's Knights are vulnerable to Sea Stone, but it might work against them."

He looked around at the group. "Even so, they won't be easy to defeat. Every member of the God's Knights has strength comparable to a pirate worth over a billion Berries."

Hearing this, Monkey D. Dragon felt a chill run down his spine. He had once believed that overthrowing the more than 170 nations under the World Government would be enough. Now, that idea seemed dangerously naive.

As long as the Gorosei, the God's Knights, and Imu remained, the World Government would not fall.

Dragon spoke in a steady voice, "I understand. I once saw that name on a poneglyph. Nerona Imu, a Celestial Dragon from eight hundred years ago."

Marco replied calmly, "We already knew that."

He then looked directly at Dragon. "Now that we share the same goal, overthrowing the World Government, what are your next steps?"

Dragon answered, "We've planted the seeds of revolution in over 170 countries. Once the World Government is weakened, we'll trigger simultaneous uprisings and overthrow those nations."

Marco shook his head. "That won't change anything. As long as the elite Celestial Dragons remain undefeated, it's meaningless."

He did not want the Revolutionary Army exhausting its strength on those nations. If they succeeded, the balance of power afterward could shift in unpredictable ways.

Dragon understood immediately. His expression remained firm. "Even after the World Government falls, we have no intention of becoming your enemy. As long as you govern properly, it doesn't matter to me who rules the world."

His words were sincere. After hearing Marco's explanation, he knew defeating those at the top would not be easy. Even an alliance would struggle against an institution that had endured for eight hundred years.

Marco chose not to pursue that topic further. He still had his own priorities.

After reclaiming Fish-Man Island, he had tasked the Sun Pirates' new captain, Hyaradin, with leading a search for the giant anglerfish that carried pure gold.

However, information on the creature was scarce. The Fishmen had already captured several massive anglerfish using sea beasts, but none of them contained what Marco was looking for.

The ocean was vast, and finding a specific creature, even one of great size, was far from simple.

Marco spoke calmly, "It's too early to discuss the future. We can settle those matters after the World Government is gone."

Dragon nodded. "Then what are your plans moving forward?"

Marco glanced toward Dr. Vegapunk before replying, "For now, everything will revolve around him."

Vegapunk blinked in surprise. "Me?"
