Jay's POV
Felix was still shaking when Sienna lifted her hand again.
"Round two."
Her eyes closed.
Her finger drifted lazily across them.
Stopped.
"Luke."
Luke stiffened. Just barely.
The man stepped behind him.
"Ten seconds," Sienna said.
Click.
Luke's body jerked violently. A strangled sound escaped him as the current ran through him. His shoulders locked, jaw clenched tight enough I thought his teeth would crack.
"Hold it!" Sienna said almost playfully. "Let's see how strong the doctor is."
Nine seconds felt like ninety.
Click.
Luke collapsed forward, breathing hard.
I swallowed the scream building in my throat.
"Next," Sienna said, already bored.
She didn't even make it dramatic this time.
"Endrix."
The device pressed against Endrix's back.
Click.
His scream was loud. Angry. Furious. He fought against the ropes like he could overpower electricity itself.
It didn't matter.
Ten seconds.
Click.
He fell forward.
My chest hurt. My arm throbbed. My eyes burned.
"Still not satisfied," Sienna muttered.
Her gaze drifted.
"And now…"
She didn't need to say his name.
The man was already moving behind Keifer.
"No," I whispered.
Click.
Keifer's body snapped forward hard. A sound tore from his throat, low and raw. His muscles strained against the ropes.
"Stop!" I cried. "Please stop this!"
Tears finally spilled down my face.
"Sienna, please! End this! I'm begging you!"
Click.
Keifer slumped forward, breathing heavily but still conscious.
Sienna exhaled slowly.
"I'm getting bored."
My stomach dropped.
She stood.
"New rule."
I shook my head immediately. "No…"
She smiled.
"Jay will shock the person I point at."
Everything inside me froze.
"No," I whispered. "Please don't make me do this."
One of her men stepped forward and shoved the electric device into my hands.
My left arm screamed in pain when I instinctively tried to steady it.
I had to hold it with my right.
It felt heavier than it should.
Sienna closed her eyes again.
Her finger moved.
Stopped.
She opened them.
Keifer.
"Again," she said. "Come on, Jay. Time's going. I have to sleep."
"I… I…" My voice broke. "I can't."
"Hurry up."
My vision blurred with tears.
I wiped them quickly.
And that's when I noticed something.
The man beside me.
Holding a gun.
Close.
Close enough.
My heart steadied.
One breath.
Two.
I lifted the shock device.
But not toward Keifer.
I pressed it against the gun.
Click.
The man screamed as the current surged through the metal. His grip loosened instantly and he collapsed.
I dropped the device and grabbed the gun from his hand.
Spun.
Pointed it straight at Sienna.
"No one move."
Everything went silent.
Even the wind.
Sienna blinked.
Then she smiled faintly. "Don't mind her. She can't use a gun with one hand."
"Don't test my patience," I said quietly.
Her expression shifted slightly.
"What are you doing?" she snapped at her men. "Attack her!"
"Hey!" Keifer shouted. "No! Leave her! No one touch her!"
Two men rushed toward me.
I didn't think.
I aimed.
Shot.
The first one dropped.
The second kept coming.
Shot again.
He fell.
The sound echoed across the cliff.
"I warned you," I said, my voice shaking but steady enough.
Sienna's smile disappeared.
"You think I'm scared of you?"
I met her eyes.
"You know I'm tired of trying to reason with you," I said. "Because it's pointless."
Her face hardened.
"What are you all doing? Take the gun from her!"
Her men rushed again.
"Move another step and you'll see," I said.
They kept moving.
"I said put your guns down!"
My voice cracked across the air like thunder.
For a second—
Nothing.
Then slowly.
One gun dropped.
Then another.
Metal hit the ground.
They stepped back.
I kept the gun trained on them as I moved carefully, kicking each weapon across the gravel toward Keifer and the others.
One by one.
Four guns.
I grabbed two more from the fallen men.
Finally—
Keifer, Yuri, Adrian, and Luke had guns in their hands.
They stood.
Pointed them at Sienna's men.
The power had shifted.
Sienna took a step back.
"No," she said softly. "No. You can't escape."
"You need to stop all this nonsense," I said, breathing hard. "You still have many years in front of you. Don't throw them away."
