Chapter 20 - The Lazy Ruler - Chapter-20-/-Douluo dalu

While silently screaming that this would be the last time, he opened one of the seals once more, releasing a portion of his energy. Of course, don't let the word "part" fool you; this "part" was easily enough to destroy the world...

The girls didn't know what Shun was thinking because they were caught up in the thrill of flying high and happily and excitedly looked around.

Due to the high-speed flight, a settlement began to appear in the distance in about 10 seconds: the Holy Spirit Village!

Of course, to avoid attracting too much attention, he controlled his energy to land slowly in a secluded spot a little further back from the village, and gently dropped the girls to the ground.

Upon landing, the girls experienced a loss of balance and dizziness; after all, they had been launched with such high speed in a single step that they hadn't noticed it while in the air, but their heads started spinning once they landed.

When Shun noticed this, he gently stroked both girls' heads, and all the nausea, headaches, and dizziness disappeared, as if they had never been bothered before!

The two girls might have been surprised at first, but seeing what was happening quickly, they accepted that it wasn't such a big deal...

When Sily came to her senses, she looked at the village in the distance and asked, "Is this... a village? Why did we come here?"

The other girl looked at Shun curiously.

Seeing the curiosity in the girls' eyes, Shun explained, "Do you remember the truck that hit us before we came here? That pile of metal I'm talking about."

When the girls nodded as if they understood, he continued, "When that truck hit us, it sent us to a different dimension, or rather, a different universe."

While the girls were surprised, he continued, "You can think of these kinds of universes as parallel universes or a realm of fairy tales and stories. So, the world we are currently in is actually a world where a novel written and illustrated by someone else exists!"

This time the girls were truly shocked! Shun continued, "The human subconscious is very vast and very powerful, so much so that if people could control their subconscious powers, they could truly become godlike beings." "What I mean is, let's say people create a novel, manga, or anime with their imaginations, and a lot of people watch it and subconsciously accept that such a world actually exists. Through the subconscious and belief power of many people, these thoughts manifest as reality, unknowingly creating many parallel universes and these kinds of small-scale worlds."

He continued, while the girls listened in astonishment, "Of course, these aren't actually real, but they are real. Although it's a bit confusing, I mean, these kinds of worlds were created, but they don't actually have any contact with reality."They exist in another micro-universe, and no one has access to these small dimensions except for beings who could be called gods at the apex of the universe.

"The reason we came here is because after that truck hit me, they sent us to this little space world and gave me a system as the main character, well, like the system in the real world, but actually it's a support system. So it gives me tasks and rewards a lot, like the fighting spirit or physical strength in the fighting system in this world, you understand?"

When the girls nodded, he continued, "So the reason we came to this village is because the system gave me a task."

When the girls heard this, they understood and asked sily, "So, this system must be giving you something really useful?"

The other girl waited for an answer, but for some reason, she wasn't surprised when she heard it...

"No, I just liked being a main character like in the novels I've read before, I want to have some fun." Shun answered with lazy eyes, but with a little excitement in them.

The girls couldn't help but be silent when they heard this. No way, who made this man so powerful?

The other girl thought for a moment and asked, "But you said that only a god-like being can access such small universes, why would he send us to this world?"

Shun smiled slightly, "The being you call a god just wants to have fun, and I entertained him. I hope he can continue to have fun burning in hell." As he spoke the last words, the curve in his mouth deepened a little more, and he looked slightly frightening!

Hearing these words, the girls fell silent again, not daring to say anything, and began to look at the village in the distance as if they weren't paying attention.

Seeing this, Shun smiled slightly and looked at a different dimension, very, very far away, at the center of the universe. There was a white-skinned man with drooping ears impaled on a stake; his once magnificent palace had long since been destroyed, and strange flames burning beneath him enveloped him as he continued to scream, "NOOOOOOOOO!!! PLEASE, PLEASE LET ME GO!!! I BEG YOU, ENOUGH, IT HURTS!!!" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHĞĞĞĞĞ!!!''

Shun pulled his attention back and completely dismissed that bastard from his mind, slowly walking ahead towards the village, with the girls following him...

.....

The three of them slowly walked towards the village and soon reached its entrance. After entering the village, they began to look around. After all, being in the world of a novel he had read (even if only the beginning) was somewhat exciting, so he was curious about what it really looked like. It was normal for the girls to be curious about what the structures and people looked like in a place that felt like a different universe for the first time, especially Sily. After all, until yesterday, she hardly knew anything about the world, let alone the outside of her own dark street, so these kinds of things were very fascinating to her.

The arrival of the three naturally attracted the attention of some villagers. After all, they were all very young, handsome, and had sweet little faces, and judging by the texture of their clothes, they didn't look like ordinary people at all.

Shortly after, an old man with a cane appeared in front of them. From the sounds of "The village chief has arrived," and "I don't know what the village chief will do with these children," it became clear that he was the village chief of this small village.

The village chief looked at the three for a while and, with a smile, asked, "Hey, may I ask what you three little guests are doing here?"

Shun and the girls looked at the old man; to be honest, he just looked like a friendly old man, so he smiled and replied, "We came to this village because tomorrow is the day of the spirit awakening."

Although the girls didn't know what spirit awakening was, they nodded in agreement.

The village chief was surprised to hear this; after all, judging by the clothes, faces, and temperaments of the three little men, they couldn't possibly be from a low-class family. So why had they come to such a small corner of the kingdom for a spirit awakening?

Although she had some questions in her mind, she didn't show it much, "Okay, the spirit awakening baptism is really going to be tomorrow. But it's really strange that you three little kids could come all the way here, aren't you with anyone?"

When Shun understood that she didn't mean it badly, he replied, "No, we just ran away from home, we couldn't stand staying in that boring place all the time! And, don't underestimate me, I'm really strong!" he said, showing off his muscles.

To be honest, acting like a child was a little weird, but since we've reverted to our six-year-old selves, it's okay to act a little childish, after all, it's all fun, hehehe.

The girls couldn't help but be surprised and chuckled softly.

When the village chief heard what Shun said, he guessed it must be true, of course he didn't expect a six-year-old to be really strong, but they could really be the children of a noble family who had run away from home.

While he was thinking about what to do with these children, Shun continued, "Grandpa, can we stay at your house until the spirit awakening ceremony tomorrow?" "I promise, once you become a powerful spirit master, I'll do anything you want!" "Although, I could do it now, but anyway..."

The village chief smiled upon hearing this and patted Shun's head, "You little brat, I hope you truly become a powerful spirit master; I won't need you to do me any favors."

Shun knew the old man really meant that, and after feeling awkward for a moment, he smiled too. After all, there were all kinds of people in the world; why wouldn't there be someone as pure and good as this old man?

After talking with the village chief for a while, he took them to his house. It was a medium-sized house with a tiled roof, not very large. Since he lived alone, most of the rooms were empty, but the three of them wanted to share a room. After all, the two girls were new to this unknown world and could only rely on Shun.

The village chief didn't say anything and gave them a few sheets, pillows, etc. There weren't any suitable house clothes for the children, although he didn't buy new ones since they were leaving tomorrow.

After thanking the village chief, he smiled, told them to make themselves comfortable, and left the room. After he left, Shun and the others looked at each other; right now, they had nothing to do but wait for their soul awakening tomorrow, so they didn't know what to do. Shun

thought for a moment and then began to speak, "Since we are in the world of douluo dalu, let me tell you about this world's power system and some powerful groups."

Hearing Shun's words, the girls sat on the bed and listened attentively. After all, in this unknown world, they would begin developing their new powers from tomorrow onwards; knowledge was more important than anything else right now!

"First, let me tell you about the levels of soul masters. Soul masters range from level 1 to level 99. From level 1 to 10, they are soul apprentices; from level 11 to 20, soul masters; from level 21 to 30, soul grandmasters; from level 31 to 40, soul experts; from level 41 to 50, soul leaders; from level 51 to 60, soul lords; from level 61 to 70, soul kings; from level 71 to 80, soul sages; from level 81 to 90, soul douluos; and from level 91 to 99, they are titled douluos." "As you've heard, you gain new titles every 10 levels. This is because every 10 levels you encounter a bottleneck, and to overcome this bottleneck you must assimilate the spirit beast's spirit ring."

After a moment of silence, he continued, "Spirit beasts aren't categorized by rank, but by age. Spirit beasts aged 100 to 1000 are equivalent to spirit apprentice and spirit master levels, 1000 to 10000 are equivalent to spirit grandmaster and spirit expert levels, 10000 to 30000 corresponds to spirit leader and spirit sage levels, 30000 to 60000 corresponds to spirit king and spirit sage levels, 60000 to 90000 corresponds to spirit douluo, and 100000 years corresponds to titled douluo levels." Of course, these are just average figures; there are many special beings and spirit monsters, so much so that some, even at 100 years old, possess the power to defeat a spirit monster that is 10,000 years old. Naturally, these are a minority, and similarly, among humans, while not as exaggerated, there are those who are special and capable of challenging beings beyond their own level.

"The reason for this is that humans have a fighting spirit, while spirit monsters have a bloodline. A fighting spirit can actually represent how far a person can progress in their destiny; a weak fighting spirit is at a disadvantage when fighting someone with an average fighting spirit of the same level, and moreover, their capacity to absorb spirit energy from the air is limited, meaning they cannot advance to a higher level no matter how much they want to. This is the fate of weak fighting spirits." "

So, let me continue. In this world, there are 2 great empires, 3 sects, and a spirit hall. One of the two great empires is the Celestial Dou Empire, to which our village currently belongs. Its military and political power is one of the six greatest powers on the continent. The other empire is the Star Dou Empire, which is equally powerful as the Celestial Dou Empire." The three great sects each possess multiple titled douluo, therefore their peak war power surpasses that of the empire. The first is the Colorful Sky Charm sect; the souls of those born into this sect are Colorful Sky Charms, said to possess the greatest power in the world. Although many events have occurred within the sect recently and its power has diminished, it still remains the leader among the three great sects. The second is the Seven Treasure Secret Tile Clan; the souls of those descended from this clan are Seven-Story Pagoda, the best support spirit in the world, and therefore the sect with the fewest enemies and the wealthiest. The third sect is the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan; the weakest of the three, but this doesn't mean you should underestimate it, as their spirit is known as the most powerful monster spirit in the world, the Blue Lightning Dragon.

Finally, the last is the Spirit Hall, by far the best power in the world among the six great powers. "They possess over 10 titled douluo and spirit sages and spirit douluo from all over the world, holding the highest prestige among civilians because they awaken their spirits and pay them monthly gold according to their level. There are two of the most powerful beings at the pinnacle of the spirit hall: one is Qian Daoliu, the leader of the elders' hall, a level 99 douluo, whose power is in the demigod realm and who is one of the few people who stand at the top of this world. Similarly, the current Papa Bibi Dong, although his power is at level 98, can easily match someone at level 99 thanks to his twin fighting spirits. Two of the world's greatest powers and most of the peak fighting powers are gathered in this spirit hall."

The girls listened silently, sighing as they listened. "The world is truly vast, I don't know when I'll be able to reach their level."

When Shun finished explaining, he watched the two girls and thought to himself, 'Of course, there are a few things I haven't told you yet, like the gods and the divine realm, but I'll tell you after I've gained some strength. We're not in a hurry; too much pressure could be harmful.'

The girls asked a few more questions about this, and Shun answered them. Soon, the girls began to feel sleepy; after all, so much had happened in just one day. The other girl, in particular, had been followed by an organization some time ago, and after a few incidents, she had arrived in a different world and was quite exhausted by the time she finally got here. Although physically and mentally strong, she was still human.

Shun noticed this and helped the two girls to their beds, gently stroking their heads and smiling, saying, "Don't worry, as long as I'm here, no one can harm you." His voice sounded calm, but it held a great deal of confidence.

Hearing this, the other girl couldn't help but feel a slight unease; after all, she had only known this boy for a short time. Even though they had been through many things together, it didn't mean she could trust him completely, especially since arriving in this strange world. She only felt safe with this man from her previous world. She was quite confused. But the words she'd just heard and the strange feeling of security that had crept into her soul eased her tension, and her eyes slowly closed from exhaustion, and she fell asleep.

There was no need to mention Silyn's trust in Shun, who had already been the meaning of her life for some time. After he stroked her head and spoke those words, she sat up with a courage she didn't know she'd found, quickly kissed Shun's cheek, lay down on the bed, and pulled the blanket over her face.

Shun was surprised at first, but then, with a gentle smile, said, "Good night," and then left the room...
