Chapter Three – School love on 3
The call came three hours after Rowan left the dean's office.
"Mr. Zhang," Dean Morrison's voice carried a note of carefully controlled embarrassment. "We've reviewed the security footage. All of it. I need you to come back to campus immediately."
"To expel me?" Rowan asked, already knowing the answer but wanting to hear it said aloud.
"To... discuss the findings. Please. As soon as possible."
Rowan hung up without confirming and looked at his father, who had been sitting in the study with him, making phone calls to lawyers and preparing for what he'd assumed would be a legal battle.
"The footage cleared me," Rowan said simply.
Zhang Wei set down his phone. "You sound certain."
"I am. Because I told you the truth. I didn't touch her." Rowan stood. "The question now is what we do about the fact that she filed a false accusation and staged an injury to frame me."
