Darius's teeth grinned as he shot West a glare.
West continued casually. "Benjamin's doing well."
"Still talks too much."
"Mia still misses her dad."
A brief flicker of pain crossed Darius's face causing West smile to widen. "And Yelena..."
Darius immediately looked away causing West to laugh. "Come on."
"What?"
"Don't tell me you don't want to hear about your wife."
"Shut up."
However, West continued. "She's been leaning on me a lot lately."

"When she cries, I'm usually the one comforting her."
Darius clenched his teeth but West continued anyway. "Honestly, I spend so much time around her nowadays that it almost feels normal."
The chains rattled as Darius visibly struggled without any arms while West was enjoying every second of it.
"You know what's funny?" He paused briefly before adding. "She trusts me."
"She calls me whenever she needs someone."
"Whenever she's sad."
"Whenever she's lonely."
Darius lowered his head as West leaned closer.
