Chapter 2 - In Which We Crash an ABO World on Day One

[World #15341 · Category: Interstellar ABO]

When Yin Wuwang regained consciousness, the first thing he noticed was a low, rhythmic thrumming—like being trapped inside the belly of some massive beast.

His eyes snapped open. Battle instincts flaring, he scanned his surroundings.

The room was enormous. Every wall was forged from some kind of silver metal he had never seen before—smooth as mirrors, reflecting cold, sterile light. Strange objects hung on the walls, shaped like spiritual artifacts but completely devoid of energy fluctuations. A translucent screen floated in midair, purple symbols flowing across its surface like some kind of advanced formation array.

This must be the other world that old fossil mentioned. "Interstellar ABO."

Yin Wuwang attempted to circulate his demonic energy.

His dantian was empty.

His brow furrowed. He looked down at himself—and found he was wearing some kind of form-fitting black armor, the material stiff and unfamiliar. Several gleaming metal badges decorated his chest, and two golden stars sat on his shoulders. The style was bizarre and lacked any defensive formations, but he had to admit... it looked rather imposing.

He turned to check behind him.

There, on a massive white bed, lay a slender figure.

Pale skin. Closed eyes. Dressed in elaborate snow-white garments that clung to his frame, with a silver collar locked around his throat, gleaming coldly above the high neckline.

The effect was simultaneously restrained and fragile—like a sacrificial offering displayed against the sterile backdrop.

Yin Wuwang's pupils contracted.

Fuguang.

White robes like snow. Silver ring at the throat. He looked like a bride prepared for slaughter.

Ding!

"Savior Unit #9527 is now online! I am your temporary guide spirit, designation 'Little Deer Assistant.' Welcome to World #15341—Interstellar ABO!"

A child's voice suddenly echoed inside his consciousness. Yin Wuwang's head snapped up, but the room was empty. What kind of demon dared invade his mind? He instinctively tried to gather demonic energy for defense—

Nothing. His spiritual sea was completely sealed.

"Warning! Detecting severe demonic energy overflow. Station Central has authorized the sealing of your combat abilities. Please complete your mission according to this world's mortal behaviors. Any OOC actions will trigger lightning punishment."

A vein throbbed on Yin Wuwang's forehead.

They sealed this sovereign?!

That old bastard Mo—I'LL REMEMBER THIS!

"Seal this sovereign? What kind of thing are you?! Show yourself!"

BZZZT—!!!

A bolt of lightning tore through his body. Every muscle spasmed. His arms flailed uncontrollably.

"Warning! Savior #9527 has committed one violation. According to your character profile, your identity is: 'Iron-Blooded Marshal of the Empire, 3S-Class Alpha.' You are the spouse of Savior #9528. Shouting is considered OOC behavior and damages the Marshal's dignity. Please portray the author's character with appropriate composure."

Yin Wuwang ground his teeth so hard they creaked.

Damn it! That lightning actually HURT!

Empire Marshal? Three-S? Alpha? What the hell is any of that?!

This sovereign is the supreme Demon Sovereign! That decrepit old man—this has to be his scheme!

At that moment, Xie Qingyan slowly opened his eyes.

Confusion. Disorientation. His face was deathly pale.

I'm... not dead?

Where is Yin Wuwang?

His gaze swept the room. Frost's Edge was gone. His spiritual energy was sealed. What was any of this?

His eyes finally landed on Yin Wuwang—dressed in that strange black armor, still radiating an oppressive aura despite everything.

Their gazes met.

Yin Wuwang spoke first, teeth still clenched: "This has nothing to do with this sovereign! That old man did something!"

Xie Qingyan blinked slowly. "Where are we? We fell into the space-time rift... and survived?"

Ding!

"Savior Unit #9528 is now online! I am your temporary guide spirit, Little Deer Assistant. Welcome to World #15341—Interstellar ABO. Station Central has authorized the sealing of your spiritual energy. Please complete your mission according to this world's mortal behaviors. Any OOC actions will trigger lightning punishment. According to your character profile, your role is: 'Imperial Political Hostage, A-Class Omega.' You are the spouse of Savior #9527. Please ensure your behavior matches the written description—gentle yet strong. Drawing weapons to harm others is prohibited."

Xie Qingyan's brow furrowed deeply.

Political hostage? Oh-may-gah?

I, the Sword Sovereign, am forbidden from drawing my sword?

Meanwhile, a strange gleam flickered through Yin Wuwang's crimson eyes. The corner of his mouth twitched upward.

Hostage? Oh-may-gah?

Even his title sounds weak. Not as impressive as my "Three-S."

"Bzzt... bzzt... downloading author's original manuscript... bzzt... signal... 404 error..."

The Little Deer Assistants in both their minds emitted a burst of static—then went completely silent.

Yin Wuwang's eye twitched.

What kind of garbage artifact is this? That old fossil definitely didn't have good intentions!

Suddenly, the floating screen lit up with rippling light. A flat, emotionless female voice filled the room:

"Pardon the interruption, Lord Marshal, Madam Marshal. The honeymoon voyage has concluded. The starship 'Falcon' will soon arrive at the Empire's border defense line. We will be passing through a wormhole shortly. Please ensure the Madam experiences no discomfort during transit. Jarvis has selected soothing music for your enjoyment."

Sweet, suggestive music began playing. The cold white lighting shifted to an intimate pink glow.

Xie Qingyan's face flushed crimson. "Preposterous!"

Yin Wuwang's mouth twitched. "...This world's taste is truly vulgar beyond measure."

They glanced at each other—and immediately looked away.

The awkward silence was shattered by blaring alarms.

WOOOONG—WOOOONG—

"Warning! Warning! S-Class Zerg ambush detected! Shields breached! Combat mode activated!"

The pink light snapped to harsh red. The entire room shook violently.

Xie Qingyan's eyes sharpened, his body shifting into combat readiness. "It seems your 'bridal chamber' is about to collapse."

Yin Wuwang snarled. "Shut up! This tin can is about to explode!"

BOOM!

A massive detonation tore through the starship. The shockwave hurled both of them into the endless void of space.

"Hmph! Parlor tricks."

Yin Wuwang instinctively tried to ride the wind—

—and plummeted in a straight line.

His face went pale.

I forgot! I'm a mortal now!

Just as they were about to become smears on some alien planet's surface, that useless system finally chimed in.

Ding!

"Detecting Savior Units #9527 and #9528 in critical freefall. Little Deer Assistant provides one complimentary rescue service for first-time visitors to the Mending Heaven worlds. Future services will be subject to standard fees. Mending Heaven Station accepts all forms of interdimensional currency. Fair prices, no discrimination."

Yin Wuwang screamed internally:

YOU BASTARD! SAVE US FIRST AND TALK ABOUT MONEY LATER!

"Deploying parachutes now. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1."

Pop! Pop!

Two enormous white parachutes burst open behind them. Their descent jerked to a halt so violently that both men's faces contorted in pain. They dangled like two pieces of cured meat hanging from a rack, drifting slowly toward the battlefield below.

[Landing Zone: Imperial Border Battlefield]

The moment they touched ground, Xie Qingyan's legs buckled.

He collapsed to his knees, face flushed an unnatural red. His breathing came in ragged gasps. A sweet, cloying fragrance began emanating from his body.

"Fuguang!" Yin Wuwang rushed to support him. "Are you injured?"

Xie Qingyan clutched at his collar, eyes unfocused and hazy. "Hot... Yin Wuwang, there seems to be poison in the air... My qi is flowing backward... This feels like an aphrodisiac..."

Yin Wuwang's expression turned grave. He immediately pressed two fingers to Xie Qingyan's wrist.

Chaotic pulse. Burning temperature.

What kind of mortal poison could be this potent?

"As long as this sovereign lives, even the King of Hell wouldn't dare take you!"

His eyes hardened with determination. He bit down savagely on his own tongue.

Even without spiritual power, I was born with a true demonic physique. My heart's blood contains the purest yin energy—it can definitely purge this pathetic mortal aphrodisiac!

"Fuguang, open your mouth!"

Without waiting for a response, Yin Wuwang gripped Xie Qingyan's chin, tilted his head back, and pressed their lips together. He forced the mouthful of blood—still warm and tasting of iron—into Xie Qingyan's mouth.

The effect was immediate.

And catastrophic.

The moment the blood touched his tongue, the dominating pheromones of a 3S-Class Alpha detonated inside Xie Qingyan's system like a bomb. His already feverish body became dry kindling set ablaze.

Xie Qingyan's pupils dilated. Instead of clearing his head, the blood made everything worse. His hands shot out, grabbing Yin Wuwang's collar, pulling their bodies flush together.

"Mmm... not enough... I need more..."

Yin Wuwang's eyes went wide with horror. He grabbed Xie Qingyan's wandering hands and pinned them down.

What's happening?! My blood made him worse?!

The useless guide spirit chose this moment to chime in:

"Warning! Omega has ingested high-concentration Alpha blood. Pheromone overload detected! Heat cycle intensity: 120%! Recommendation: Perform bonding mark immediately, or evacuate the area."

Yin Wuwang nearly shattered his own teeth from clenching.

Since when does my blood work as an aphrodisiac?! This world's poison can corrupt demonic blood?!

Xie Qingyan had lost all sense of reason. He started tearing at his own clothes.

Yin Wuwang restrained both his wrists, letting the delirious man lean against his chest. His gaze fixed on a massive mechanical construct in the distance—some kind of armored golem. A dangerous glint entered his eyes.

"Fuguang, hold on. I'm going to seize that iron puppet and use its power to purge the poison from your body!"

At that moment, a massive mantis-like creature spotted them. It charged forward, scythe-arms raised to strike.

"Vile beast! How dare you attack when someone is vulnerable!"

Killing intent exploded from Yin Wuwang's eyes. He snatched up a weapon from a fallen soldier—some kind of metal stick that glowed faintly.

This fire poker is terribly unwieldy. Whatever—I'll use it as a club.

He swung the high-tech laser rifle like a baseball bat, smashing it directly into the creature's head. The alien's compound eyes exploded on impact.

The Little Deer Assistant buzzed back to life:

"Bzzt... Omega... heat cycle... recommend using... suppressant... located to your left..."

Yin Wuwang followed the direction indicated. A silver metal syringe lay on the ground.

He picked it up and sniffed cautiously.

Colorless. Odorless. Concealed in this kind of hidden weapon casing.

Obviously a deadly poison designed to kill on contact with blood!

This broken system is trying to murder Fuguang!

He crushed the suppressant in his fist and hurled the remains as far as he could throw.

"Fuguang, don't be afraid. That puppet over there seems to have abundant spiritual energy. We'll commandeer it and use its power to purge the poison!"

Xie Qingyan nodded weakly, barely conscious. "Alright... whatever you say..."

They stumbled into the unmanned mecha's cockpit.

Yin Wuwang shoved Xie Qingyan into the co-pilot seat. Click—the chair automatically deployed restraints, strapping Xie Qingyan securely in place.

Yin Wuwang exhaled in relief.

This puppet is well-crafted. At least now I don't have to worry about restraining Fuguang myself.

"Fuguang! Stay conscious! This sovereign will activate this puppet and heal you!"

He studied the console—covered in flashing red lights and incomprehensible symbols—and nodded with absolute confidence.

Once again, he bit down on his tongue. A mouthful of blood, faintly glowing with residual demonic energy, sprayed across the control panel. His hands flew through a series of ancient sealing gestures.

"Heaven and earth without limit! Borrow the power of creation! AWAKEN!"

BZZZZZZT—!

The heart's blood of a demon who had cultivated for three thousand years made contact with the instrument panel.

The effect was... similar to pouring concentrated acid on a sponge.

The expensive nano-glass dissolved instantly. The circuits beneath corroded through. Sparks flew.

[ALERT! Cockpit exposed to high-energy biological acid! Unknown high-risk pathogen detected in core systems! Classification: 3S-Class biochemical attack!]

"It moved! It's responding!" Yin Wuwang stared at the frantically flashing red lights, face splitting into a triumphant grin. "Look at how intensely it's glowing! It must have sensed this sovereign's powerful bloodline and is establishing a soul bond!"

Xie Qingyan, despite his addled state, observed the smoking hole that had been burned straight through the console. Something felt... wrong.

"Yin Wuwang... I believe this puppet is... trembling?"

"Of course it's trembling! It fears this sovereign's majesty! It's trembling with excitement!"

Black smoke began pouring from the dashboard. The acrid smell of burning electronics filled the cockpit.

[Initiating "Scorched Earth Protocol" to prevent intelligence leakage. Self-destruct countdown: 10... 9... 8...]

The smile froze on Yin Wuwang's face.

This destructive aura... this isn't a bonding ritual.

This is a self-detonating golden core!

"This is bad! RUN!"

He spun around to grab Xie Qingyan—

Too late.

BOOOOOOM—!!!

A mushroom cloud erupted in the center of the battlefield.

The priceless S-Class Imperial mecha, along with every Zerg within a ten-mile radius, was reduced to ash.

The world collapsed into chaos—fragmenting into streams of corrupted data.

And in the final moment before consciousness faded, Yin Wuwang heard the Little Deer Assistant's infuriating voice one last time:

"Friendly reminder... please do not attempt blood-bonding rituals in this world..."

His last thought was a scream of pure rage:

YOU BASTARD! YOU COULD HAVE SAID THAT EARLIER!

IF THERE'S A NEXT LIFE, THIS SOVEREIGN IS BUYING A MANUAL ON PUPPET CULTIVATION FIRST!!!
