The first directed evolution experiment of the House of Mutant Evolution was a complete success, giving birth to the first evolved being—Isaac Monroe.
Lancelot personally tested Isaac Monroe's post-evolution data.
When Isaac entered the water, two gill glands on his shoulders automatically opened, while his lung-based respiratory system shut down, seamlessly switching him to gill respiration.
Moreover, unlike ordinary humans who are disturbed by water resistance when entering water, Isaac's lungs contained special alveoli that activated underwater. Through these unique structures, he could freely adjust his center of gravity.
This allowed him to swim with the current like a fish, reduce gravitational resistance by adjusting his lung alveoli, and even run along the riverbed using his legs.
According to Lancelot's tests, Isaac's running speed underwater was twice his running speed on land.
Once Isaac left the water, the gill glands on his shoulders automatically closed, leaving behind only three faint marks resembling horizontal tattoos.
Unless he submerged himself again, his altered respiratory systems would have no effect on his survival.
After confirming Isaac's experimental data, Lancelot left the laboratory. He still had many matters to attend to.
"Dr. Spencer, how is the progress of the biological weapons program?"
Lancelot arrived at the core experimental zone of the House of Evolution and found Dr. Spencer, who was in charge of weapons development.
Dr. Spencer had once been a top-tier weapons engineer. Later, he joined the House of Evolution and was ordered by Lancelot to research specialized weaponry.
"Long live my king."
Dr. Spencer, a handsome middle-aged scientist with blond hair, greeted him with deep respect.
After saluting, Dr. Spencer led Lancelot into the heart of the weapons laboratory, where a group of scientists were calibrating several futuristic devices.
"My lord, these are the Steel Wings we cultivated using Mr. Allen's cells," Dr. Spencer said excitedly, gesturing toward a massive set of metallic wings.
Lancelot examined the smooth, gleaming metal surface, nodded slightly, and gently pressed his right hand against the steel wings.
Boom—
At his touch, the steel wings came alive. The wings unfolded automatically, metallic feathers extending outward from the core. They wrapped around Lancelot's back and fused perfectly with his body, becoming one with him.
"These steel wings incorporate Master Darwin's adaptive evolution cells, combined with the traits of Mr. Bradley's mental control technology," Dr. Spencer explained.
"When worn, they are as flexible as arms and fingers, capable of both sending and receiving commands at will."
Whoosh—
With a slight focus of his mind, Lancelot spread the massive steel wings behind him and rose directly into the air.
"Not bad. What else do you have?"
After a brief test, Lancelot detached the wings.
The biological weapons program was far more than just a pair of steel wings.
Dr. Spencer did not disappoint. He went on to present three additional specialized biological weapons.
The first was a potential-energy conversion energy gun, developed using Gambit Remy's abilities. It converted stored potential energy into kinetic energy and explosive force.
This weapon fired red energy beams and caused explosive effects upon impact.
The second was a biological variant combat armor, jointly developed by Sabretooth Victor and other animal-type mutants. Dr. Spencer named it "Beast God General."
The third was a consciousness memory injection device, developed based on psychic mutants such as the White Queen, Emma Frost. This device allowed knowledge to be directly implanted into the brain.
Dr. Spencer had already achieved success with it. After testing, a warrior of the Evolution Family gained the complete biological knowledge of a doctoral-level biologist.
Other projects under development included teleporters and space transmission devices.
"Have the Beast God armor tested by our people. If there are no issues, proceed with mass production," Lancelot ordered after reviewing the program.
"Yes, Your Majesty," Dr. Spencer replied enthusiastically. He had long wanted to test the true power of his Beast God General armor.
"John, deliver these weapons to Raven,"
Lancelot casually selected a Beast God General set and several energy guns and handed them to Phantom John behind him.
Bang.
The moment John took the equipment, he vanished.
Lancelot exited the core experimental zone and entered the residential area.
Due to the massive manpower required to build Evolution House No. 2, the once-crowded living quarters now felt somewhat empty.
At this moment, in the recreation area of the living quarters, Silver Fox Kara stood smiling as she watched the girl training in front of her.
Her younger sister—Anna.
With the help of a mutant gene stabilizer, Anna was now able to freely control her mutant abilities.
Though she might occasionally turn into flowing water when emotionally overwhelmed, her life was no longer in danger.
"Sister, what are you thinking about?"
Anna toyed with a cup in front of her as the water inside slowly gathered into her palm. She noticed Kara's distracted expression.
"My king."
Silver Fox Kara did not hide her feelings. Ever since she met Lancelot, she had been deeply captivated by him. That kingly aura—no woman could resist it.
No woman truly wished to be queen.
However, Kara knew her limits. Compared to Mystique Raven's figure or the White Queen Emma's beauty, she had no advantage.
With those two women by his side, she stood no chance.
"But Anna…"
Kara looked at her sister.
"With her abilities, she could certainly please my king."
Anna had a beautiful face. Compared to Emma and Raven, the nineteen-year-old Anna appeared pure and gentle.
Moreover, her power was the manipulation of water, and her body could partially transform into flowing water.
"Anna, come with me to see my king."
Growing more satisfied the more she looked at her sister, Kara grabbed Anna's arm, preparing to take her to Lancelot.
"Kara, were you looking for me?"
Lancelot glanced at the two girls and let out a soft laugh.
"My king."
"My king."
Silver Fox Kara and Anna turned around at once. When they saw Lancelot, their eyes lit up. They stared at him eagerly and bowed in respect.
"Anna, stay and accompany me," Lancelot said.
He had come to the living quarters specifically for Anna. She was the only elemental-type mutant under his command—much like Iceman or Human Torch.
If Anna continued to grow, she could one day reach Level Six mutant status, comparable to them.
"Obedience, my king."
Anna was stunned by the attention. After a brief pause, she hurried to Lancelot's side.
"Silver Fox Kara, you will manage this base for now," Lancelot said, casting her a glance before issuing the order.
"Yes, my king."
Though disappointed, Silver Fox Kara still responded with enthusiasm.
