Impel Down.

Level 4 underground, Warden's Office.

A jailer hurriedly ran toward the office with sweat pouring down his forehead. But when he reached about ten meters from the door, he suddenly remembered something and quickly pulled a gas mask from his clothes and put it on.

"Warden Magellan!" The jailer shouted loudly.

No one responded to him. About two breaths later, a muffled voice like rolling thunder finally echoed out.

"Gudongdong!"

Then came a low, relaxed, and strangely pleased groan.

The jailer froze for a moment, then hurriedly covered the holes in his gas mask and turned his head to the side.

There stood the private toilet built exclusively for Magellan.

"Gudongdongdongdongdong!"

"Pi Li Pa La!"

The refreshing sound of explosive diarrhea echoed out, causing a look of terror to appear on the jailer's face.

Instinctively, he took several steps backward. But then he seemed to remember something and forced himself to stop, trembling in fear as he shouted again.

"W-Warden Magellan, I-I have an urgent report!"

"Gudongdongdongdongdong!"

What answered him was yet another long burst of diarrhea. Along with it came a horrifying stench that turned the jailer's face purple-green.

"Speak. What is it?" Magellan's voice came from inside the restroom.

Then another series of rumbling sounds followed.

The jailer was almost on the verge of fainting, his eyes filled with terror.

"It's Fleet Admiral Sengoku! It seems he's brought an important prisoner to Impel Down. I'm afraid Warden-sama will need to personally receive him!"

Magellan took a deep breath while squatting over the toilet, then suddenly strained hard.

"Gudongdongdongdongdong!"

A torrent immediately burst forth between his legs, and the pain in his stomach instantly eased considerably. The expression of agony on his face also relaxed.

Afterward, he stood up, tied his belt, and briskly walked out of the restroom.

"Then let's go take a look!" Magellan said.

Only after the tall figure had walked a considerable distance did the jailer dare to follow behind him.

Impel Down, first level above sea.

Kojin walked forward with shackles around his feet, iron chains clanking behind him as they dragged across the ground. His footsteps were heavy. His bare upper body was covered in horrifying wounds, causing the jailers on both sides to tremble in fear.

"Is that a new prisoner?"

"With injuries like that, how could he possibly still be alive?"

"Who is he? Fleet Admiral Sengoku personally escorted him here?"

"..."

Everyone was deeply shaken by the terrifying figure whose feet were bound in shackles and whose body was pierced through by iron chains.

Hannyabal stepped forward respectfully, wearing a flattering smile.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, you can just leave the prisoner to me. The air here isn't very pleasant, so you probably won't be comfortable staying long."

Hearing this, Sengoku turned around and glanced at Kojin, who kept his head lowered while trudging forward heavily. Sengoku frowned slightly before looking back at Hannyabal and speaking in a deep voice.

"Vice Warden Hannyabal! He's not some prisoner! He is Marine Headquarters' newly appointed Admiral, Kojin!"

Hannyabal was stunned and instinctively looked toward Kojin behind Sengoku. Very quickly, shock appeared in his eyes.

"He's Kojin?!"

"The new Admiral Kojin?"

Naturally, he knew that name. In fact, it could be said to thunder in his ears.

Back when Golden Lion Shiki escaped from prison, the very name he had asked about was this one.

"H-He… what happened to him?" Hannyabal said in astonishment.

Anyone who saw Kojin in his current state would never associate him with an Admiral… the Seastone shackles between his feet, the iron chains piercing through his body, and his battered, heavily injured appearance.

He looked even more like a prisoner than the prisoners themselves!

"Where's Magellan?"

"Starting today, Admiral Kojin will be joining you in guarding Impel Down. I specifically brought him here this time to inform you of this matter!"

Sengoku said with a frown.

"Warden Magellan will be back very soon!" Hannyabal hurriedly replied.

Then his gaze fell upon Kojin once again, his heart filled with confusion and astonishment.

An Admiral, and previously one of the most famous figures in the Marines, a legendary Vice Admiral, had actually come to Impel Down.

'Was this suppression? Exile?'

'Had Admiral Kojin offended some high-ranking official? Committed an unforgivable mistake?'

For a moment, Hannyabal's mind went into overdrive.

The three sat in the dim room and waited. Before they realized it, Magellan finally arrived late.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku! Ordinary prisoners surely wouldn't require you to personally escort them here." Magellan said in a deep voice.

"He's not a prisoner!" Sengoku helplessly explained once again.

At this point, he somewhat understood why Kojin had insisted on keeping the shackles and iron chains on his body, and why he still carried those severe injuries.

This was likely a warning to himself, that no matter when or where, he could never lower his guard.

From this, it was obvious that the ambush by the Gorōsei had dealt a heavy blow to the young man. But this was undoubtedly a good thing, because Kojin had not fallen into despair. Instead, he had become even more ambitious and determined.

"Admiral Kojin?!" Magellan raised his head in shock.

The moment he saw that face, he quickly recognized him.

Back then, it was this very man who had personally delivered Golden Lion Shiki into his custody.

"Huā Lā Lā!"

The iron chains rattled as Kojin slowly raised his head, revealing an ugly smile on his face.

"Warden Magellan. I'll be troubling you to take care of me in the coming days."

Magellan paused briefly before nodding.

"With Admiral Kojin joining Impel Down, this place will become as solid as a rock!"

After the two exchanged greetings, Sengoku quickly departed.

Having just taken the position of Fleet Admiral, and now with Kojin's incident added on top of everything else, his workload had increased enormously. He was already overwhelmed with work.

For a time, only the chief and vice wardens of Impel Down, along with Kojin, remained inside the stone-built room.

Hannyabal covered his nose and mouth, subconsciously staying as far away from Magellan as possible.

He seemed restless. After about one or two minutes, he quickly found an excuse and left in a hurry.

"There usually isn't much work here. Admiral Kojin may choose a place he finds suitable to use as an office and temporary residence." Magellan said in a deep voice.

His expression remained stern the entire time, giving off the impression of a man who never smiled. Kojin also frowned slightly at this moment. The poison gas surrounding the other man was having a slight effect on him.

"The second level." Magellan froze for a moment.

"The second level?"

"Yes, Underground Level 2."

"In Wild Beast Hell, find me a place to use as an office."

Kojin nodded as he spoke.

"That's where the Jailer Beasts roam freely. Even for the jailers of Impel Down, it's considered a dangerous area!" Magellan said solemnly.

Within Wild Beast Hell, there were not only prisoners, but also Jailer Beasts, monsters created after failed Zoan awakenings, beings that had lost their human consciousness and completely transformed into beasts.

These Jailer Beasts were equally terrifying. They possessed incredible durability, recovery abilities, and strength far beyond ordinary humans, making them extremely difficult to deal with.

"For me, that's the most suitable place." Kojin said with a faint smile on his face.

Although Magellan was puzzled, he did not ask further questions.

"I'll make the arrangements for you."

Afterward, the two awkwardly chatted for a while. Once they truly had nothing left to say, Magellan finally left.

Kojin, led by a jailer, headed toward Wild Beast Hell.

"If we go any further, powerful Jailer Beasts will begin roaming around. It's extremely dangerous! Admiral Kojin, you can choose any vacant area to use as your office!"

The jailer stared at the enormous shadows ahead, his voice trembling with fear.

Kojin did not mind at all. Gazing at the wide corridor before him, he nodded lightly.

"You can go back to your duties."

"T-Thank you, Admiral Kojin!" The jailer let out a long sigh of relief before turning and fleeing as fast as he could.

After giving a faint smile, Kojin looked ahead once more.

The dark and damp corridor was paved with massive, solid stone blocks. Torches burned fiercely along the walls at intervals.

Clearly, the torches here were only replaced after long periods of time, because vast stretches of the area had already sunk completely into darkness and within that darkness, dangerous and enormous figures flickered faintly in the shadows.

"So this will be my home from now on?" Kojin muttered softly as he stepped forward.

The moment he moved, the massive shadow ahead moved as well. In the blink of an eye, a gigantic and ferocious head emerged into the light.

Scarlet eyes looked down upon him, while two streams of white air burst from its nostrils.

"This really is a good place to temper my strength." Kojin revealed a smile.

Marineford, Marine Headquarters.

"What?!"

"Admiral Kojin entered Impel Down?"

"You've got to be kidding! How could he possibly enter Impel Down?!"

"And so suddenly too?"

"Did he commit some kind of crime? But how is that possible? A man as upright as him would never make such a mistake!"

"Headquarters must have made an error!"

When the news returned to Marine Headquarters, all the officers were stunned. Then the entire headquarters erupted into chaos.

Countless people rushed toward the Fleet Admiral's office, demanding an explanation and accurate information.

How could a powerful and upright Marine Admiral suddenly be assigned to a filthy and gloomy place like Impel Down?

Sengoku looked utterly exhausted, his eyes bloodshot.

He himself felt terrible about the matter and was filled with anger.

Originally, he had already prepared everything necessary to realize the justice and dreams in his heart. Yet unexpectedly, something like this had suddenly happened.

In the end, he could only explain the situation to the gathered officers.

"Admiral Kojin's assignment to guard Impel Down is a normal transfer of duties. He has committed no crime. Please do not overthink matters."

But even so, the explanation failed to satisfy the officers. Especially the five Vice Admirals led by Maynard, Strawberry, and Momonga, who looked ready to storm the Fleet Admiral's office entirely.

Sengoku finally lost his patience and exploded in fury. With one punch, he shattered a solid wooden office desk, only then managing to suppress the five men and drive them out.

Once the hallway finally became quiet again, he collapsed weakly into his chair, staring at the complete mess before him as he let out a deep sigh.

"What the hell is all this…"

Meanwhile…

West Blue, G-1 Base.

One flying ship after another hovered in the sky, confronting a mysterious fleet of comparatively small vessels ahead.

Douglas Bullet wore a grave expression as he stared at the nine indistinct figures standing atop the lead ship.

Only after a moment did the nine figures turn around and disappear into the cabin.

The fleet then slowly turned and sailed away.

"Huu…"

"Who exactly were they? To put this much pressure on me…"

Bullet exhaled deeply, confusion filling his heart.

Somehow, he had a very bad feeling about this.
