Chapter 12 - Boarding

Witnessing Adam's display, the three were clearly in complete shock.

"Truly... an incredible miracle."

Lucia made a gesture of prayer, a joyful expression on her face.

Never before had she seen such hope for the future of the Imperium of Man, and she even felt like shedding tears for it.

The Inquisitor also let go of her last trace of doubt.

Chaos mighty beings could absolutely not possess such power; if the evil daemons in the Warp had this ability to shape matter, then the Imperium of Man would not have lasted until now.

"If there were any Adeptus Mechanicus believers among us, seeing this sight, they would surely exclaim, 'The omnissiah above!'"

No, if that Adeptus Mechanicus priest were a little more rebellious... it wouldn't be impossible for him to shout 'The omnissiah is by our side' on the spot.

She thought silently in her heart, based on her extensive experience dealing with those Adeptus Mechanicus members over the years.

However, one question remained unanswered.

"Then how did you manage to restore me from my psychic meltdown state earlier?"

Sibylla asked.

"That's another one of my abilities. I can pay a price to transform others into Reality Warpers."

Adam took a moment to briefly explain the principle of the transformation, then summarized: "However, because the Reality Intensity allocated to you is too little, merely a small fraction of my baseline reality, your Reality Warping Ability is very weak, only Level 1. It merely allows your will to have a bit more concrete power."

"If the influence originates from the Warp, this low-Reality Intensity power can play a significant role, but to change matter in reality as I do, it's still quite far off."

After hearing Adam's explanation, all three were thoughtful.

"Of course, we'll talk about future matters later."

Adam saw that everyone clearly had no other questions and didn't continue discussing other details about himself. He immediately shifted the topic to the main point: "The top priority now is to quickly resolve the threat of the Chaos Warband. The enemies who boarded this cruiser have been largely dealt with, but their strike cruiser is still lurking menacingly in the void."

"We must deal with them immediately. It would be bad if the enemy noticed something was wrong here and simply chose to open fire and destroy the ship."

"Indeed, that's right."

Leonardo, based on his experience as an Eye of the Emperor, replied, "However, the probability of that is actually extremely low. Those Chaos heretics, after betraying the Imperium, do not have abundant resource reserves. They wouldn't just abandon so much equipment, including some Terminators power armor. They will only continue to launch boarding torpedoes here, rather than directly destroying the ship."

However, for Lucia, who had received the Emperor's decree and valued Adam's safety above all else, this well-reasoned analysis could not convince her.

She immediately retorted:

"That may be true, but who knows what those Chaos madmen might do? We now have ample combat power, and the best way is still to directly board the enemy ship and purge those heretics once and for all."

"Indeed, but how do we get onto that ship?"

Everyone frowned slightly.

"I have a way."

Sibylla suddenly spoke.

"Oh?"

The three present immediately turned their gaze to her.

"I now have perfect control over the vast psychic energy of Alpha-level. All spells can be cast at will and are incredibly stable, without needing to worry about Warp backlash. If I wish, I can open a Warp rift and teleport all of us to the enemy ship."

"No, that's not right? With such a long-distance Warp teleportation, how can you guarantee accurate placement? You won't teleport us into the void or into a wall, will you?"

"Don't worry, I've solved this problem."

Sibylla pointed to the large number of corpses lying on the ground. "Among the heretics who were killed earlier, some were wearing Terminator power armor. The Warp teleportation devices on their armor recorded the coordinates of their ship's teleportation chamber. With this, it's enough for me to pinpoint the location."

"Alright, let's do it!"

Adam immediately decided, "Prepare yourselves, and then we'll depart at once!"

*********

At this moment, on the Blissful Angels strike cruiser.

On the bridge.

"...What are those guys doing? Why haven't they responded yet? Tell the Astropath to immediately use short-range psychic communication. Tell them if they're done fighting, send a signal quickly, and stop dawdling just for the thrill of it!"

In the vast space filled with various blasphemous artistic creations, a Chaos Space Marine, whose physique had become extremely tall and mutated due to numerous Chaos blessings, stood like an iron tower.

His limbs were twisted, and countless layers of capes made from human skin hung down, emitting not the original stench, but a strange fragrance.

His power armor was covered with Slaanesh-related symbols, and his face, exposed because he wasn't wearing a tactical helmet, was pale and twisted, completely mutated and lifeless, no longer human-like.

This was the Chaos Lord of the The Blissful Angels Warband, and also a Dark Apostle skilled in various Warp rituals.

The Chaos Lord swept his gaze over everyone in the bridge space and reprimanded one of the Chaos Astartes:

"Did you hear my order? Go now!"

Everyone on the bridge was silent, no one willing to anger him, for no one knew what unimaginable torture defying his orders would bring.

The Space Marine immediately reacted.

"Yes!"

He then quickly rushed out of the bridge, disappearing from everyone's sight.

The Chaos Lord continued to frown, his gaze passing through the viewport, looking at the target silently floating in the void, that lunar cruiser.

He naturally wasn't worried about reinforcements arriving.

In the Chaos Lord's eyes, the Imperium he detested, though seemingly vast, was merely a giant with feet of clay.

With the various Warp rituals he commanded, he could sustain long Warp voyages. Even if reinforcements came to support this cruiser, he would have nothing to fear.

Moreover, he believed he had gained an advantage in naval combat, and during boarding, he had dispatched an overwhelming number of elite Astartes units. Taking a common cruiser should have been effortless.

But what exactly went wrong?

A faint sense of unease rose in the Chaos Lord's heart, and he even began to ponder whether he should perform a divination.

Just then, a figure stumbled towards him.

The Chaos Lord slowly turned his head, seeing a mortal handmaiden with a smooth cloak and a beautiful face staggering closer.

From the skin not covered by the cloak, it could be seen that the mortal handmaiden's body and face were already covered with various Warp symbols. If someone proficient in Warp runology were present, they would surely recognize the meaning of these symbols.

They were ritual runes directly pointing to a certain Slaanesh daemon.
