First wave of wights crashed against barricades. Screams of men mixed with hissing of dead. Link saw White Walker on a dead horse at edge of forest. It was directing flow of battle.
[Status Alert: Health 81 percent]
[Quest Updated: Decapitation Strike]
[Objective: Slay White Walker Commander]
"Robert! Ned! Hold crest!" Link shouted over roar of wind. "I am going out!"
"You are mad, boy!" Robert yelled while smashing a wight. "You will be torn apart!"
"He has a plan, Robert!" Ned countered. Lord Stark cut down three dead men with a single swing of Ice. "Go, Link! We will keep path clear!"
Link jumped over wall. Jaime followed without a word. Ten Northmen joined them. They carried spears tipped with black glass. Link activated Master of Obsidian. A pulse of orange light traveled from his sword to weapons of companions. Steel began to glow.
They moved like a wedge of flame through sea of frost. Every strike was lethal. Wights shattered into dust upon contact with dragonglass. Link felt System pushing muscles to limit.
[Skill Active: Master of Obsidian]
[Buff: Allied Attack Power plus 20 percent]
White Walker raised its ice blade. It rode forward on its pale horse. Its skin was like cracked porcelain. Cold aura intensified as it approached. Ground beneath feet of Link turned to black ice.
"I take horse! You take rider!" Jaime yelled.
Lannister knight slid low. He sliced through legs of undead mount. Creature collapsed. White Walker fell into snow but stood instantly. It swung its blade at head of Link. Link blocked with his glowing steel. Sound was like a scream of metal.

[Warning: Blade integrity at risk]
Link felt his arms tremble. This was not a mindless corpse. This was ancient magic. Link used Adrenaline Surge. He ducked under a second swing. He drove his short sword through chest of White Walker.
Ice began to crack. Blue light exploded from eyes of commander. With a sound of breaking glass, White Walker shattered. All wights it had raised fell silent. They became just piles of bone and rags.

[Reward: 5,000 Experience Points]
[Level Up: Level 20]
Link gasped for air. He looked at Jaime. Knight was covered in frost.
"One down," Link whispered.
He looked toward forest. Five more shadows on horseback emerged from trees.
"Too many," Jaime said.
