Chapter 232: Chaotic Battle 10, Aokiji Nearly Finished

Boom boom boom!

Canglong's massive body moved so fast it turned into an afterimage. In an instant, he caught up to the Aokiji who had been sent flying and struck out with another palm.

Aokiji felt death looming over him and immediately activated elementalization in midair.

Buzz!

The giant palm smashed him into fragments of ice that scattered downward.

"So fast…"

Garp's expression turned extremely ugly. If not for the magma giant's enormous size, he would have barely been able to keep up with its speed.

Carrying a cyan dragon-shaped aura, Garp tore through space and smashed a punch straight toward Canglong's head.

But he underestimated Canglong's speed. Having also fused with the Speed-Speed Fruit, Canglong's current speed amplification had reached fiftyfold—a terrifying number, far beyond the speed of sound by who knows how many times.

Just as Garp was about to land his blow, Canglong's massive palm struck him directly.

Boom!!

Garp was slapped away like a rubber ball.

Several hundred meters away, Aokiji's body reformed from the shattered ice. Waves of cold air spilled out from him, frost vapor pouring from his mouth.

"That was close…"

Aokiji was shaken to the core as he looked at the magma giant, fear lingering in his eyes.

That speed left him no time to react—not even Kizaru was that fast.

Yes, Kizaru's so-called light speed was not truly the speed of light, and his physical techniques were not strong. It was very hard for him to seriously injure Aokiji.

But this magma giant—its power was just as terrifying as Vice Admiral Garp's. Being hit by it made his entire body feel like it was falling apart.

"Elementalization won't save you either!"

Canglong ignored Garp. He knew Garp's strength was roughly on par with his own. Instead, he turned his gaze toward Aokiji below.

A hoarse, thunderous rumble echoed across the land.

Next, a powerful layer of Armament Haki spread over Canglong's enormous magma hands.

"Aokiji, get out of here!"

Seeing this, Garp's expression changed drastically. A magma giant with Armament Haki and one without were two completely different threats.

Against the latter, Aokiji could still rely on elementalization to evade some attacks.

But against the former—given the magma giant's speed—even if Aokiji was in an elemental state, he would still be struck.

Elementalization meant turning into that substance, not becoming nothingness. That substance still existed.

The reason attacks could be avoided was because the substance dispersed before being hit—this was preemptive elementalization.

But a sky-covering palm from a magma giant—no matter how he dispersed, he could not escape that range and would still be injured.

By the time Garp shouted, it was already too late.

Canglong had already appeared in front of Aokiji. The enormous black-gold palm slammed down.

"Ice Emperor!"

The sensation of death surged through Aokiji, forcing him to erupt with everything he had. A terrifying cold torrent burst wildly from his body.

Crack crack…

In an instant, it condensed into a hundred-meter-tall ice giant. A massive ice fist rose to meet the sky-covering black-gold palm.

Boom!!

The ice giant couldn't even last a second. Under the giant palm, it shattered instantly into fragments, ice shards scattering everywhere.

At that moment, a streak of golden light flashed past, grabbing Aokiji and vanishing from the spot.

Boom!!

The giant palm struck the ground. The terrifying force made it seem as if a magnitude-ten earthquake had erupted. The earth split apart violently, and a devastating shockwave spread outward.

"Kuzan, you look even more miserable than I imagined!"

Kizaru's sleazy face appeared before Aokiji, teasing him.

"This mission is going to fail," Aokiji said in a low voice, his face pale.

"And what does that have to do with us? The current Dragon Flame Pirates are no longer something we can handle. Only Vice Admiral Garp can barely fight this magma giant," Kizaru said indifferently.

"Mm." Aokiji nodded.

This battle had dealt a heavy blow to his confidence.

So much for being a navy quasi–admiral—he'd been beaten like a dog and nearly lost his life.
