Chapter 86: The Poneglyph

Crocodile cast a glance at Camon and the others.

"Robin and Bawang stay. The rest of you, go take a walk," Jiang Qize said calmly.

"Celine, take them out and have some fun."

"Yes, Boss."

The stunning Celine nodded, then flashed Camon and Buck a sweet smile. "Please, come with me."

Camon instantly swallowed hard.

Buck froze for a moment too, but Aisha smacked him on the head.

The three of them followed Celine out.

Crocodile stood up and looked at Bawang.

Bawang smiled back at him, then continued reading his book.

"Let's go," Jiang Qize said with a faint smile.

He had already guessed what was coming.

Crocodile gave a slight nod, walked to one side of the office, and pressed a spot on the wall.

Buzz!

The wall slid aside, revealing a hidden passageway.

They stepped through it together.

Beyond the passage lay a vast chamber made of stone and steel.

There was nothing else inside—only a massive square monolith at its center, covered in strange, ancient inscriptions.

"Not bad, Crocodile. You really got your hands on a Poneglyph this quickly," Jiang Qize said in surprise.

He had already suspected it, but seeing it with his own eyes was something else entirely.

His arrival had changed so much already—something Crocodile hadn't managed in over ten years had been accomplished in such a short time.

"Hmph." A glint of pride flashed in Crocodile's eyes.

"All right, we agreed—Robin will translate the Poneglyph for me."

"Of course. I'm an honest man; I keep my word."

Jiang Qize smiled, eyes gleaming.

"Robin, translate the writing for us," he said to the young girl.

"Yes, Captain." Robin nodded.

She spread her fleshy wings and flew upward.

The stone monument was over three meters tall—far too high to read from the ground.

She studied the inscriptions carefully.

Bawang was reading along too, while Crocodile's eyes burned with fervor.

Half an hour later—

"Captain," Robin landed beside him and spoke softly, "it records information about a ship called Pluton."

"What—does it say where Pluton is located?!" Crocodile rushed up to her, his large face looming anxiously close.

Startled, Robin flinched back several steps.

"You're scaring her," Jiang Qize said, rolling his eyes as he shoved Crocodile aside.

Crocodile let out an awkward chuckle.

"Robin, the location should be written on it, right?" Jiang Qize asked gently.

"Yes, it says—" Robin began, but he interrupted her.

"That's enough. As long as it's written there."

Jiang Qize nodded, then turned to Crocodile with a smile. "Agree to two conditions, and I'll let Robin tell you."

"You… shameless!" Crocodile glared at him.

They had agreed to cooperate, and Robin was supposed to translate for him. Yet now this man was demanding terms again.

"Heh, relax. My two requests aren't too much," Jiang Qize said, his lips curling upward.

"Fine, say it." Crocodile sighed helplessly.

He had no choice—after all, Robin wasn't his subordinate.

"First, give me ten billion Berries."

"Second, let Bawang study Pluton for a while."

Jiang Qize smiled as he laid out his terms.

"You're insane!" Crocodile's face darkened.

"Ten billion… do I look like someone who has ten billion?" he said, rolling his eyes.
