Chapter 15: Intermediate Enhancement

The entire ship gave a slight lurch.
Before him appeared a massive, gray-armored dinosaur covered in thick plates, each studded with spikes nearly thirty centimeters long. Its body was the color of weathered stone, its head like that of a gigantic tortoise—but far more ferocious and rugged.
At the end of its tail was a huge club of armor, shaped like a heavy iron hammer. Its stocky limbs pressed firmly against the deck.

As the electronic tone faded, a steady surge of energy flowed into his body. His physique strengthened, his skin turning tougher than before.
Jiang Qize noticed something new—each time he gained one-tenth of a dinosaur's attributes, he also inherited one-tenth of its abilities.
That meant his defensive power was steadily climbing higher.
The seven-meter-long Ankylosaurus filled the entire ship's hold. Fortunately, it wasn't too tall—about 1.75 meters high and 1.5 meters wide. To anyone else, though, it would have been a monstrous creature.
"Finally, a dinosaur worth summoning."
Jiang Qize's face broke into a smile.
The Ankylosaurus wasn't bad at all. Sure, it wasn't carnivorous, but it was a solid tank—strong defense and decent attack power. At least far better than that OviRaptorex or the Wukong Pterosaur.
"Next, I'll just need to strengthen the Raptorexex. Then everything will be set."
As for the other dinosaurs, he wasn't planning to enhance them yet. No point wasting resources—better to sharpen the edge of the blade.
He opened the Raptorexex's enhancement menu.

"No need for Size Enhancement; if it gets any bigger, the ship won't hold it. Physique Enhancement, though—that strengthens overall power, defense, and regeneration. That's useful. Its defense is already decent enough, so… let's go with Tooth Enhancement next.
After all, its teeth are its main weapon. I wonder if an intermediate upgrade could bite through Armament Haki defense…"
Jiang Qize pondered for a moment.
But there was no way to test it right now.

The Raptorexex stood up, unleashing a thunderous roar. A terrifying dragon's might surged outward, the soundwave sweeping in every direction.
"Ah!"
Camon screamed in terror, collapsing to the ground and staring up at the beast in shock.
"Chirp! Chirp!"
"Eek! Eek!"
All across Treasure Island, birds and animals fled in panic.
Meanwhile, aboard another ship, Jiang Qize felt a surge of power rush through his own body, reinforcing it. His skin tightened, expelling faint traces of gray residue. When it cleared, his skin had become even fairer and more resilient—smooth, firm, and tinged with a healthy glow.
