Chapter 135 - Ultimate Nullifier? Just a Toy

"Planet Frieza 00X?"

Tony, on his knees, lifted his head with difficulty.

The gravity wave that made his bones creak hadn't crushed his proud mind.

"You think…"

Tony gritted his teeth, blood trickled from the corner of his lips and dripped onto his cracked nano-armor.

"You think this is just anywhere?"

"This is 616! The Main Universe!"

"We've beaten Galactus, exiled Thanos, even stood trial before the Celestials!"

A sudden, wild light flashed in Tony's eyes.

"Jarvis! Initiate 'God-Killer' Protocol!"

"Still a prototype… but enough to send you straight to hell."

Rumble—

At Tony's command, far out in Mars orbit.

A long-dormant, colossal base stirred awake.

The ground split open.

A titanic mecha, thousands of meters tall and forged from unknown cosmic metal, blazed blue thrusters and shot toward Earth at sub-light speed.

It was Tony's reverse-engineered Celestial-tech ultimate weapon—God-Killer Mark II.

Though only an imitation, its instantaneous output rivaled a single-Universe-level detonation.

"Oh?"

Suspended in the air, Frieza sensed the rapidly approaching energy wave and arched an eyebrow.

"So the monkeys of this Universe have slightly better brains than the last batch."

Watching the colossal mecha rip through the atmosphere with world-ending momentum, he showed no panic. Instead, an intrigued smile appeared on his lips.

"Still…"

"If you think a hunk of scrap metal can challenge me, you're woefully naive."

Frieza raised a single finger.

At the machine that had already reached him and was swinging a fist that could shatter continents, he tapped lightly.

"Stop."

Bzzzt—

The mecha, carrying infinite kinetic energy, looked like a paused video frame, frozen mid-air. Its massive fist hovered less than a meter from Frieza's nose.

The whirlwind ruffled his golden hair but couldn't wipe the mocking grin from his face.

"What's wrong?"

"Run out of fuel?"

Frieza turned to the stunned Tony on the ground.

"Mr. Stark, your big toy seems rather disobedient."

"No… impossible…"

Tony's worldview was collapsing.

That was Godkiller! A weapon meant to rival the Celestials!

Stopped by a single finger?!

"Since it's broken, let's fix it."

Frieza crooked a finger and red light flickered.

Crack! Crack...

The thousands-of-meters-tall mecha twisted and warped grotesquely. The supposedly indestructible cosmic metal bent like putty under his will.

In mere seconds, the mighty War Machine was reshaped into… a giant toilet plunger?

"Much better."

Frieza nodded in satisfaction, then casually flicked his wrist. The huge plunger shot like a meteor and slammed into the moon.

Boom!

A new crater scarred the lunar surface.

"Now, anyone else have an amusing little toy?" Frieza looked around at the Avengers, who were scared stiff.

"If not, I will start collecting property management fees."

Frieza watched the once-invincible champions grovel like dogs, a smile of pure delight on his lips.

"Oh-ho-ho-ho…"

"Magnificent."

"Is this the Main Universe's welcome ceremony? I am pleased."

His crimson eyes swept the field.

"Still…"

"A few mice refuse to behave."

His gaze pierced the city, locking onto a secret base deep beneath New York.

The Illuminati's headquarters.

Reed, T'Challa, Black Bolt, Namor—Earth's brightest and most powerful—sat around a round table.

The air was suffocating.

"Gravity waves cover the globe," Reed said, voice hoarse as data screamed on the screen.

"Our defences fell in 0.01 seconds. That monster Frieza… his power is beyond comprehension."

"Then use it!"

Namor slammed the table, ruthless resolve in his eyes.

"The weapon's unstable, but we have no choice."

"You mean—"

T'Challa hesitated.

"That could destroy the solar system…"

"No time!"

Reed drew a deep breath and produced a strange, blue-glowing device.

The ultimate nullifier.

The artefact the Watcher Uatu forbade, the one that even Galactus flees from.

"One shot."

Reed's finger trembled over the trigger.

"One hit erases him from the timeline."

"Even if half of Earth is lost…"

"For humanity's future, the risk is worth it."

"Do it!"

Black Bolt agreed.

BZZZZZZ——

The ultimate nullifier fired.

An indescribable blue beam lanced through every shield, carrying causality-warping annihilation straight at Frieza.

Faster than light, faster than thought—its launch guaranteed the hit.

"We got him!"

Joy blazed in Reed's eyes.

As the blue light brushed Frieza's sleeve—

"My, my…"

A soft sigh echoed in the Illuminati's ears.

Then, the white figure who should have been erased stood calmly at the centre of the table, wineglass still in hand.

The unstoppable nullifier beam now coiled like a tame serpent around his fingertip.

"This thing…"

Frieza glanced at the swirling, world-ending blue.

Disgust twisted his face.

"Looks scary enough."

"But…"

"It tastes a little bland."

"What?!"

Reed's eyes bulged in horror.

That was the ultimate nullifier!

A conceptual weapon that could unmake gods was being toyed with?

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" Reed shook his head frantically.

"Nothing is impossible."

Frieza closed his fist.

Pop!

The blue light burst like a soap bubble and vanished.

"To you, it's the ultimate weapon."

He stepped to Reed and looked down on Earth's smartest man.

"To me, however…"

"It's just a slightly interesting lighter."

He tapped Reed's forehead.

"Got any more?"

"Any toys a bit more fun?"

"If not…"

Frieza's gaze froze, killing intent locked every Illuminati member in place.

"Then I will start exterminating disobedient mice."

"You… you're a demon!"

Namor roared, trident stabbing at Frieza.

"Too slow."

Without even looking, Frieza backhanded him.

Smack!

Namor spun into the wall, embedded so deeply no one could pry him out.

"Kneel if you want to live!"

Frieza's aura exploded.

BOOM!!!

The entire base collapsed.

Every Illuminati powerhouse was driven to their knees.

Thud! Thud! Thud...

Titans who once shook nations now trembled at Frieza's feet.

"Much better." Frieza said pleasantly.

"The wise submit to circumstances."

"Since you love meetings, hold them in my zoo."

"Plenty of spectators there."

Above ground.

The Avengers watched the figure rise from the ruined base.

They saw the devil lift Reed like a dead dog.

Their last hope died.

Even the Illuminati had fallen.

Was the world truly lost?

"Bwahaha!"

Thanos stood atop the rubble, laughing wildly at the sky.

"Behold the power of Lord Frieza!"

"The true emperor of the universe!"

He raised his blade and roared at the broken heroes.

"Who's next?!"

"Who else dares defy Lord Frieza's will?!"

Silence.

No one answered.

Only the wind wailed through the ruins, mourning the world's fall.

...

High overhead.

Frieza hovered, gazing at the silent city, at the masses on their knees.

[Ding! Core resistance of Main Universe eradicated!]

[Fear points +10 trillion!]

[Ding! Global faith collapsed!]

[Fear points +20 trillion!]

Listening to the sweet notifications, Frieza spread his arms, embracing the sky thick with despair and fear.

"Oh-ho-ho-ho…"

"Simply… exquisite."

"This feeling of absolute domination."

He turned slowly, eyes on the distant stars.

There, more "toys" awaited.

Shiar Empire, Skrull Empire, Kree Empire…

Even the legendary City of Omnipotence.

"No rush."

Frieza licked his lips, greed shining in his eyes.

"I will visit each of you in turn."

"This Universe will soon bear the name 'Frieza'."

'Once I claim this Universe's heart of the universe...'

'OAA?'

'Hmph.'

'I will show you who the true Master of the Multiverse is.'
