Sameer's pov

"Man! it hurts!" Sameer cried in pain.
Kabir, annoyed by Sameer's cries, replied "If your leg still hurts that much you should have stayed in the hut with Aarav."
"No way!" Sameer replied sharply, "I am not going to miss a chance to witness the craftsmanship of the people who lived here previously." He said and exhaled air out of excitement.
He had a grin on his face that scared Riya and even Kabir. Kabir and Riya looked at each other.
Riya said "His expression makes me feel like he might turn into a monster."
"Well..." Kabir paused and looked at Sameer who was already hugging a wall of one of the huts, touching it and feeling the cracks forming on it.
He was breathing so hard that his breath was imprinted on the wall and Kabir could clearly hear him breathing even though he was a good distance away.
Kabir then turned towards Riya and answered "He may not turn into a monster but surely a madman who would kill himself just to touch an old stone item the size of a pebble made by someone who is equally a madman like him."
Riya, a bit puzzled by Kabir's comment, said "That's oddly very specific."
Kabir answered "You think so I just said out the words that came to my mind while looking at him."
They both looked at Sameer who was now holding a clay pot, examining it. The glimmer in his eyes shined very brightly.
"Sigh!" Both sighed not knowing what to do with him now.
"Hey!" Kabir shouted at Sameer, went near him and said "Come on! we need to find the exit first. Quit looking at mud pots and walls!"
Sameer got offended by that remark and shouted back "No! This is not just any mut pot is called a Kuṇḍa!"
Kabir did not care about that and replied "Whatever! let it go and help us explore this place. Me and Riya alone could not do it. This place is massive."
Riya laughed at their funeral and as he was laughing something struck her. She realised that she can see in a dark place.
Her head started to ache and there was a lot of new information in her mind.
Then she murmured "light"
Kabir and Sameer noticed that she was in pain and mummering something. They went near her and asked what happened and she replied "we can see! the light!"
"What? What we can see? What do you mean by light?" Kabir asked her.
Sameer not clearly understanding what she meant by light and we can see he thinks that she is seeing the light at the end of life and cries thinking that she is about to die.
"Hey! Do you think she hit her head somewhere? "Sameer asked Kabir.
"I don't know." he replied unsure what she was doing.
Riya gets irritated by them mummering to each other "You two to be quiet!" she shouted.
"Girls are scary." Sameer whispered to Kabir.
Riya heard their whispering shouted "I told you two to be quiet!"
The two went silent after that and Kabir silently agreed with what Sameer had said.
At that moment Riya's headache calmed down. She slowly looked up. Many lines and numbers appeared before her. The lines were the light rays and the numbers were the degree and angles the light rays are travelling. Then many more numbers appeared before her, it was the calculations for the lightrays direction. Then she instinctively ran towards the walls.
"Hey! Wait for us!" Sameer exclaimed and ran after her. Kabir ran behind them. "I can't run again!" Sameer exclaimed.
"Then you wait here, I will go after her." Kadir assured and ran after Riya.
Riya reached the walls of the place, Kabir just a few meters behind her. She touched the walls and closed her eyes.
Kabir caught up to her and asked "What are you doing? You are acting just like Sameer."
Riya did not reply to that and murmured something to herself. "Hey! Answer me something!" Kabir yelled annoyed at her.
She stopped her murmuring, opened her eyes, looked back at Kabir and "Shhh!" She silenced him, "Let me concentrate." She again closed her eyes and murmuring something.
Kabir let out a silent sigh.
Riya stopped her murmuring and opened her eyes, took a few steps behind to get a proper view of the entire wall. More calculations appeared before her.
"Yes! I found it!" she exclaimed and jumped up and down out of excitement.
Kabir holed her wrist to try and stop her jumping but was not able to stop her jumping. Then he asked "What did you find?"
She replied to him "I found the place where the light is coming from!" she had finally found the source of the light.
"What!? How!?" He asked unclear of how she did by touching the wall.
"I just know. Don't question me." Then she noticed that Sameer is not with them. "Wait, where is Sameer?"
Kair replied her "He stayed behind near the hut as he said his legs hurt."
"You are saying Sameer is staying behind because his legs hurt." Riya asked him and Kabir nodded for it. "You are telling me you believed that and ran after me."
"Yeah… is something wrong?" he asked her.
"Well I can't believe you believed him." She said.
"I don't get what you are saying?" he said.
"Well… you soon will. Come on, let's go and see him. You will understand then." She replied and they headed back to the hut.

At the hut

Riya reached first, looked front and then at Kabir. "Look." She said and pointed Sameer who was jumping up and down seeing the mud wall and Kuṇḍas. "Look at the one who stayed behind because of leg pain." She said mockingly.
Sameer did not even notice them and looked deeply at the Kuṇḍa he was holding.
Kabir got close to Sameer, gently took the Kuṇḍa from Sameer's hands. "Hey! My Kuṇḍa!" Sameer said as Kabir placed it on the ground then gave him a strong slap to Sameer's face.
Riya turned as she also felt that slap even though Kabir only shaped Sameer.
Sameer placed his hand on his left cheek that Kabir had shaped and asked "Hey! What was that for!?"
Kabir replied "It was for fooling me."
Riya felt their fight might drag on for a long time interrupted "Now stop both of you bickering. I had found the way the light was coming. Now the only thing left is to go and get Aarav."
