Chapter 13 - 13. Heat mode

Straightening up, Lady Clarice's soft pink lips curved into a knowing smile as she studied me with a curious gaze.

"You're a dangerous man," she said lightly. "Come. Let's finalize the paperwork."

I glanced at Alice and gave a small nod.

She'd be the one signing everything, ownership, authority, and power, but of course, l stayed glued to her side, close enough to feel her shaking excitement.

Meanwhile, the murmurs didn't stop.

"No way… he bought it just like that?" "Who is this guy?" "Urgh… to think I didn't even want to let them inside. I feel stupid now!"

A few opportunistic old geezers who'd been dining suddenly jolted toward me, bombarding me with questions—what businesses I ran, whether I was open to partnerships, whether we could "talk sometime." It was overwhelming.

Lady Clarice noticed immediately and raised her hand. "Please, step back. Give them some space."

The crowd reluctantly complied, clearing a path for us.

It finally sank in for Alice that this wasn't a dream. She had just become the owner of this entire luxurious establishment.

As Clarice turned and led the way to the office to complete the remaining procedures, Alice glanced back over her shoulder.

"Sir David," she said calmly. "You're hired."

The bold guard who'd been fired earlier by Brian froze for a split second before his face lit up.

He bowed deeply, gratitude written all over him.

"Thank you, Miss."

I smiled. Alice had made the right call. Loyalty like his can't be bought. After all, out of everyone here, he was the only one who stood out for us against that spoiled brat.

Soon, we stroked, following Clarice's lead. I noticed that despite being such a mature woman, she carried herself like a youngster, her fat ass jiggling ever so slightly beneath her trousers.

For her age, she was one hot smoking milf. Finally, we reached the office. As expected, it was extravagant, the hallways bathed in warm golden light from crystal chandeliers, the marble floors polished so perfectly I could see my reflection.

"Please, come in," Clarice said, gesturing inside.

We sat down, discussing the restaurant in detail as she formally transferred full ownership to Alice.

By then, Alice was smiling nonstop. I could practically see it when her Affection Level began climbing—until it finally hit 92.

So close. Just a little more.

Once everything was finalized, we stepped out, leaving the restaurant in the capable hands of Alice's newly appointed manager.

Outside, we finally breathed in fresh air. It was already around six in the evening as the street lights were now on, buzzing with people moving up and down.

"Well," I laughed softly, "that was a hell of a date. Gourmet food, a brawl, and buying a restaurant."

Alice laughed, slipping her fingers through mine. "Yeah. Totally normal. Especially the part where you jumped tables and knocked some rich kid out."

"Be honest," I teased. "Was I impressive?"

She tilted her head thoughtfully. "Mmm… in a way, yeah. But you're kind of a troublemaker, aren't you?"

"Whatever do you mean?" I closed my eyes dramatically. "I see myself as a polite, decent gentleman."

Of course, trouble ran in the blood—perks of growing up with a bully sister like Rita.

Alice snorted, but then grew quiet. Her grip on me tightened.

"I haven't thanked you properly, Mark," she said softly. "I didn't expect you to be this rich… or to spend that much on me. A part of me feels like I don't deserve it. I'm just… me. You don't even know everything about me. There might be things that make you hate me."

She took a breath.

"But right now… thank you. For everything."

Then she swallowed.

"But… I think I love you."

"I know," I said, voice rough.

Her face went crimson. "You—what?"

I didn't answer with words.

I stopped us and pulled her into my arms, holding her there in the open street, uncaring of the world.

"Whatever you're carrying," I murmured, "it doesn't scare me."

She melted into me.

[Congratulations, Host]

[Alice's Affection Level has reached 100]

[She has fallen completely in love with you and will remain loyal to the Host until the end]

[Rewards granted]

As the system message faded, something strange happened.

Alice didn't let go of me. Instead, she clutched me tighter.

Her body grew warm—hot, even. Her cheeks were flushed pink, her breathing shallow and uneven.

"Alice?" I asked, alarmed. "Are you okay?"

"I… I feel strange," she breathed.

"Should I call an ambulance?"

She answered by kissing me.

One moment I was staring at her flushed face, the next, her soft lips were pressed against mine.

[You've taken Alice's first kiss]

[+30 EXP]

[+1 CP]

She kissed me harder, clumsy and desperate, her mouth opening as she caught my lower lip between hers. It was obvious this was her first kiss.

People nearby had started staring. This wasn't good.

I tried to pull back, but she clung to me even tighter.

[When a Heroine reaches 100 Affection Level, they enter Heat Mode]

[In this mode, they experience an intense need for the Host. Failure to satisfy this need may result in severe mental consequences.]

Heat Mode?

Yeah, sure. Just say you made her so horny she lost all rational thought, system. Why not call it Aphrodisiac Mode while you're at it? I growled inwardly.

Still, I had to act fast.

Almost too conveniently, the system chimed again.

[Detecting nearby motels]

[6 motels found]

A holographic map appeared before me, highlighting nearby locations.

Of course it did.

The system really was determined to turn me into an entertainment tool for that demon, huh?

As I pulled Alice slightly away, I noticed a slick trail along her inner thigh, and it showed me she was wet, far too aroused to even walk properly. All she could do was press her thighs together, trembling.

So I scooped her up in my arms and carried her bridal-style toward the nearest motel, ignoring the stares burning into my back.

Ten minutes later, we were inside a room.

The moment the door shut, Alice jumped on me again, lips crashing into mine.

I won't deny it, having a beautiful, innocent girl like her throw herself at me like that sent heat straight through my body. My cock throbbed painfully against my pants.

This… was going to be a long night.

"I'm sorry, Mark," she whispered breathlessly. "I can't hold it anymore. Please… have sex with me."

Hearing those words from her lips broke the last of my restraint.

I pushed her onto the bed, ready to pop her cherry.
