Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: The Most Expensive Real Estate

"Is it really me…? My turn…?" A female sales associate in a black suit stood frozen in disbelief, unable to comprehend the scene before her. The two luxury sports cars that had just pulled up—she had never seen anything like them in her life.

"What are you standing there for? Go greet them!" A male manager, who had come out to check the commotion, quickly reminded her. He was ready to assist in welcoming these wealthy clients.

After all, clients of this caliber should, in theory, be personally received by the developer's owner. Ordinary people wouldn't even be worth their time.

However, Mavi was clearly not the type to look down on others. He still maintained basic courtesy.

As the female sales associate and the male manager rushed out of the sales center, something even more unexpected happened!

Besides the two leading cars—a Porsche Carrera GT and a Ferrari Enzo—more and more luxury sports cars kept pulling into the center.

Just how many high-profile clients had arrived?

The male manager was stunned. At this rate, they would need the entire sales team to handle the reception.

Seeing one rare supercar after another, ones that were almost never seen domestically, the manager felt a rush of excitement. Today must be his lucky day—so many rich people had shown up!

But just as he was thinking this, he noticed something odd.

One after another, people stepped out of the sports cars, and they were all foreigners dressed in black suits and leather shoes. They didn't look like wealthy buyers at all—instead, they seemed more like someone's entourage.

At this sight, the manager, the female sales associate, and the onlookers inside the showroom were all shocked once again.

"What's going on? It looks like all the people getting out of the cars are bodyguards," a male sales associate muttered in confusion.

"Wait… could it be that all these limited-edition supercars belong to just one person? Am I dreaming? This is insane!" Some of the sales staff couldn't even process the thought. How unimaginably wealthy and extravagant would someone have to be to own this fleet of cars?

"A supercar convoy of this level isn't just top-tier domestically—it would be impressive even on an international scale..."

…

As the sales team whispered among themselves, the door of the leading Porsche Carrera GT opened. A young Caucasian man stepped out. Immediately, the group of black-suited bodyguards followed in an orderly manner. Judging by the scene, the young man was undoubtedly the person in charge.

"Young Master, a few more cars couldn't fit inside—there's not enough parking space," one of the bodyguards reported to Mavi helplessly.

The sales center only had five parking spots, two of which were already occupied—one by the general manager's Buick and another by the male manager's Santana. This left several luxury cars stranded outside the entrance.

Before Mavi could respond, the male manager, sensing the situation, quickly spoke in broken English:

"Car… we have parking… next door… not far!"

The manager was incredibly nervous for two reasons. First, he was worried his English wasn't good enough for the foreigner to understand. Second, the sheer financial power on display was overwhelming!

Even the general manager of their "Binjiang Bay" development only drove a Buick.

Yet here was Mavi—any one of his cars was worth ten times as much! Not to mention the Carrera GT and the Ferrari Enzo, both priced at over six million RMB…

Mavi understood the manager's Chinese-accented English but simply shook his head, signaling that parking wasn't a priority. Then, in a calm and composed voice, he asked the two staff in front of him:

"How much does it cost to buy an entire building in your development?"

The sheer dominance in his words left both the male manager and the female sales associate completely stunned.

"What?! An entire building?"

"Are you asking how much it would cost to buy a whole building?"

The male manager had no words to describe his emotions. In over six months of working at "Binjiang Bay," he had never encountered a client asking to buy an entire building.

Wait—no! Even in his entire real estate career, this was the first time anyone had ever asked him such a question.

"How do we even calculate that, Manager? Do we just add everything up?" The female sales associate was equally baffled. From the moment the development opened for sales, no one had ever considered that someone might buy an entire building.

But now, it was happening. And it wasn't a joke.

"Sir, please give me a moment! I'll find the data for you!" The male manager hurried back to his office. He vaguely remembered seeing the total building prices on a report, but he had never thought anyone would actually buy a whole one.

As he rushed inside, the sales staff, who were all highly curious, bombarded him with questions.

"Manager, who is that foreigner? He seems insanely rich!"

The manager had no time to answer, but he was beyond excited. "That foreigner… he wants to buy an entire building! This is crazy!"

With that, he rushed into his office to dig up the records, leaving the showroom staff dumbfounded.

"An entire building?"

"Is this real? Did I hear that right?"

…

Two minutes later, the manager returned, holding a report in his hands. By then, Mavi had already been led to the development model display by the female sales associate.

"Sir, this is the price list for our first phase at Binjiang Bay. We have five buildings, each with 32 floors and three units per floor. The total price of a single building is approximately 81.66 million RMB. Some units have already been sold, but not many. We can deduct those from the total price if necessary. What do you think?"

The manager nervously explained while flipping through the documents. Luckily, by this time, Mavi's translator had arrived, making the conversation much smoother.

"81.66 million?" Mavi did some quick calculations. That was roughly 10 million USD per building.

"Yes, sir, 81.66 million. If you think the price is a bit high, I can apply for a discount! How about a 3% discount?" The manager was genuinely afraid the foreigner would back out, as "Binjiang Bay" was currently the most expensive development in the entire Shanghai Bund area—by far.

Mavi shook his head. A 3% discount would only save about 3 million RMB—just 350,000 USD. That was barely enough to replace a single car in his collection. A discount would only cheapen the deal.

Without hesitation, he pointed at the golden location in the center of the development model and said to the manager:

"I'll take this one."
