"Thank goodness, then." he said in a quieter voice. "I really hope you can quickly overcome that trauma of yours, Calverd. I want you to be truly ready and not hurt our husband's feelings when the time later comes for you and him to bind the Life-and-Death contract."
Calverd fell silent upon hearing those words. Shadows of his dark past flashed briefly in his mind, but they were quickly swept away by the warmth of the new bond he possessed now.

Searching for a cave or something suspicious from up here is far more efficient and easier than having to comb through the shrubs inside the forest, right?"
Kaydan's eyes widened perfectly as he looked down. The vast green expanse of the forest, the winding river flow, and the city limits in the distance looked absolutely stunning from that altitude.
"Wow! The view from up here is incredibly beautiful!" he exclaimed in a highly enthusiastic and amazed tone. "How wonderful for those of you who can fly. You can enjoy this extraordinary scenery all the time!"
"This is also my first time flying this high!" Calverd chimed in, his eyes ceaselessly sweeping over everything he saw. The burdens in his heart seemed to fly away, carried off by the wind. "The scenery truly is so beautiful when viewed from above."
Hearing the happy cheers from the two members of his family experiencing flight in the sky for the very first time, Alvein felt immensely happy and relieved.
